irisola: what if she is forced to marry the man nd she is maltreated by the man.. tho burning the man up isnt the solution bt her teenage brain will make her think itz the best option Could it also be that men that beat their wives must have also been maltreated? hmmmm Common, just accept that both men and women bash themselves in marriages. However, women bash more with their mouths, while men bash more physically. I don't support any though. I have actually seen a woman who caned the husband with a big cane. The said man (now late), ws an inspector in the police force. He sustained an ankle fracture which hindered his smooth movement. For this reason, the woman would just be beating him like a baby. She almost beat him to death. Now, he is dead, no one to beat any more. |

themall: "Google educated" are usually very short of intelligence! So let me educate a "google educated" like you a bit! The entire population of the USA is not even up to twice the population of Nigeria {USA = 323.1 million, Nigeria = 180.6 million: Figures are my projections during my research work at MIT} However Nigeria is a COUNTRY while the USA is a CONTINENT! So tell me where is the largest density of black humans on earth? Nigeria or the USA? How is it difficult for you to know that with a small mass of land Nigeria is competing with a super large continent, a fact which make the USA want Nigeria to disintegrate?! Why will you lazy cowards not give proper respect for the Nigerian soldier? Instead on depending on the dot-com research for being "vast at all" why don't you go to a proper school and "be vast at all" before you trade your ignorance on Nairaland. You're irredeemably blank. Did you generate your inappropriate data from your head or from the ground? MIT my foot If you had contacted me for data on population of any people, during your project, I sure could have saved you quite a lot. Any population data that I give you is directly from UNFPA. Mind you, its not from their website. |

reyscrub: Shall we say dat ASUU got it wrong?
Does ASUU understand the government of subsidy?
Shall we say dat 70& of ASUU members fully support the position of their union regarding going on strike due to subsidy remover?
I & many of my colleague do not support the union decision of embarking on industrial action.
At our Congress today many did not support ASUU going on strike but as long as the national has made up their mind in joining NLC, what else.
The point is dat let us give the present government a trial for some period and see what shall happened to the price and economy.
Why Jonathan's subsidy remover was greeted with nation wide protest and strike was dat he was not trusted and transparent with public fund management unlike Buhari regime.
Remember gsm service provider case dat at first, it was so expensive to belong, but today due to multi player of competitors, any one can easily acquire it.
My opinion for you.

NLC should just use this opportunity to get the much talked about minimum wage increase and other palliative that can be negotiated and forget about the strike that won't yield any positive outcome. But, how many people will benefit from the increase in minimum wage? |

As an honest Nigerian, would you choose suffering over corruption at this point?
Especially, when you are at least partially aware of the very reckless spendings of our political class, who are supposed to lead by example: by relinquishing the excess allowances bequeathed to them monthly.
More so, don't forget, the minister of information doesn't owe anyone any explanation as to how he spends money in the ministry. O yes! because he had campaigned with money, so he ought to reap his harvest for the next years to come.
The population of the unemployed and under-employed is far more than those that are substantially employed.
I weep for Nigeria. Long suffering ahead.
I hope we come out of this mess as a better people. |
