Freecocoa, women are not discriminated against when it comes to military stuffs. for eg, Russian secret service and CIA have female agents who in my opinion are very important. there are certain operations u cannot send a man to do, so even after the physical training some other form of training is required for the women to exceed. buh when it comes to the marines, their operations are more physical and mental and their missions are defined. for eg u cannot send a marine to be a spy, it is d job of the secret service. marines are meant to survive under the most intense physical conditions possible, they train to be in ice cold waters, deserts, practice exchange of gear underwater in unforgiving deep-sea pressures. u do not expect them to lower the standard of their training to accommodate women because it would reduce the survivability of the marines if such a condition arises. if the woman is able to make it thru dt physical barrier then let her be a marine, else let her go. the physical training is extremely important

There shouldnt be quota or anything. any1 who is qualified should be given the job. except the board composition is not on merit, buh if it is in terms of qualification and experience, the best candidates should fill it up whether men or women. Feminism like u said is about treating the genders equally. the women should compete with the men equally and not expect 50% just because they r women. Rather they should vie with the men for the posts and write the exams and if they pass, they should take it, even if the board is 100% made up women i dnt care as long as they beat the other candidates
