Mine was updated by the time I checked online minutes after the mail came in. I wrote with IDP though and my successful EOR mail came just before lagos lockdown
You are among the lucky few that got their score updated. Many scores won't change online after a successful EOR, you get to find out on your new TRF.

It's only Nigerian style that would be different. In every other country, they send verdict of their EOR directly to their email address.

Usually, the refund doc attachment is the sole immediate pointer to a successful EOR.
Absolutely correct.

congratulations to him ooo
Thanks bro.

I just went with my TRF number on the online result and I'm waiting and hoping for an fsw draw so ITA can roll in BUT I need that 46k in this covid times....I thought they said they are working from home?

To transfer my money to the specified account no suppose hard from home now.
Abi, that's what any sane person would think. They are still receiving money and processing EOR. To now return people's money is hard for them. Smh

Lol, my brother submitted his refund forms since March 14th or so. Though, he was able to get his TRF and he's gotten ITA as CEC but no refund till now, and they won't process anything until after the lockdown in Lagos State.

They have always been slow, even before the pandemic. Average of 8months. My application will be 8 months tommorow. As per webform, looks like it moved to Hamilton VO - I nor even sabi that one too. Right now, I'm just try to keep calm.
I think Hamilton VO is better. Read a couple of appraisals on canadavisa website. This pandemic would obviously slow things down a bit but once this phase is over, you should be getting your PPR.

Seriously? That's a new one. Or, could it because of this pandemic issue? I haven't seen a lot of people complain about MVO recently.

Good evening people,

My application for PR was submitted on 26th of July, 2019 and the estimated completion date is 26th of January, 2020.

However, the most recent update on the status of my application is a confirmation of completed biometrics dated 9th of September, 2019. It is almost three months from the estimated date of completion.

I have filled the web form on the site and they replied that my file is located at the Canadian visa office in Accra, Ghana. I have sent a mail to the visa office in Ghana and did not get a response from them.

I'm worried about my application as it looks to be dormant without any update on it. I will appreciate any information that can be of help as the wait is becoming frustrating.
You are going to have to chill for a long while (maybe not too long, if you are lucky) because Accra VO is the slowest amongst all the VOs worldwide. New Delhi sef dey learn lesson from them now.

that cannot warrant a ban. The result exists one can term it honest mistake if it comes back as 7.5. What vo will look at is does the current score met current crs draw or not. Even with trf at hand one can input wrong band by mistake. As long as it doesn't fall below crs score. Ban will arise if one is using oluwole ielts result
Honest mistake? Really? I will post a link of someone that was denied and slammed with a 5-year ban shortly.

Relax man. Remember that CRS points can increase or reduce for several reasons. And IELTS is one reason that can lead to increased CRS point as one could retake the test while waiting in the pool. A changed IELTS scores won't come as misrepresentation in as much as the new CRS point did not go below the least point that was used in the draw that fetched the ITA.
I don't think you understand how this whole thing works. You can't put a tentative IELTS score on your application because you need to provide the TRF number as well. And, it is the IELTS that you submitted before ITA that would eventually nail you one. Any chance of improving your scores with IELTS is usually pre-ITA, not post-ITA. If a particular IELTS has gotten you ITA, what's the need of improving your scores? To gain more points when it isn't needed? Perchance you even want to upgrade it post ITA, it has to be completely different TRF number with explanations or you are a goner. So, why put yourself through the ordeal when you already have your ITA?

And IELTS result is usually verified on a closed portal of the test provider. In this case IDP or BC. So as much as what the guy submits in his final eAPR application is the same as what would be found on the site of the exam administrator, then he will be just fine. In other words, no cause for alarm. Don't create fears in people. Cheers.
If you don't understand the process, ask questions. Don't use your ignorance to put people into trouble.

Cheers.

It is the easiest right about now. Except you are a Doctor or a Nurse, then UK is easier.

Please advise seniors. I've not gotten the remark result but I think it will be an increase from 6.5 to 7. So I want to enter the pool even without seeing the remark result with a 7 in writing. Do I wait or go ahead. I don't think there is a possibility of getting it increased to 7.5
Stop playing Ludo with your immigration chances. IRCC terms what you are about to do as misrepresentation and this can make them decline your PR application post ITA. You can even nail a ban of up to 5years for misrepresentation and it spans across all immigration program into Canada.

My advice? Wait for the TRF and sort when you have it. It's better to wait for two months than to get banned for 5years.

Hello everyone, I trust all is well.

I received my certified and sealed transcripts and Certificate from my school in November, however, before I got to send it to IQAS for evaluation, they put a notice indicating they would not receive any new applications until May 2020.

I still have the sealed documents with me, in the same state. Will I need to get the transcripts from my school again certified in a recent date or I can just submit this one dated November last year?
Go ahead and submit what you have as they are going to verify from the school anyway.

Hello gurus, pls I need help... I am filling our express entry profile and I got confused about the education history. My wife is the PA. Her masters program was meant to be one year, 2017/2018. But she failed one first semester course And had to retake it the following session which is 2018/2019.

So what duration will I fill for her masters degree. From when to when?
Because the transcript broke it down in details i.e 2017/2018- 2018/2019 but the statement of result says 2018/2019
Please follow what's on your ECA report. Ignore the date on your certificate. There's a place on WES website where they addressed this kind of issue (check FAQ section). In your case, the program finished in 2018 but your wife didn't meet the requirements for a certificate to be issued, that's why it wasn't issued in 2018 at the completion of the program hence the 2019 end date.

This is really depending on how you adapt to new ideas/change. Many dread CBT for the listening part, but I can tell you there is not much typing to be done during the listening test as it is mainly section 1 and 4 that requires typing mostly. Other sections are usually MCQs that just require clicking, and other part just dragging answers. That said, you are still given pencil and paper for your use if you think it is necessary. In my view, I will suggest you use the pencil to write your answers to section 4 only because that part of the recording is usually fast and a bit tricky in most cases. So writing on paper first and transferring to the screen would allow you follow the conversation to a great extent.

On the reading part, CBT is more convenient in my view as you don't need to be turning pages of papers back and forth. The question is beside the passage. And you can use copy and paste from the question to the answer where necessary. Running your eyes through the screen would also be faster than doing same on paper I believe. Scheming things.

For writing, this is the game changer for me in IELTS CBT. Some of the reasons for this include: the system shows you the number of words you have written, you can easily cut, backspace or realign your writing without the burden of using eraser like in the PBT therefore saving you time. Typing is also much faster than writing manually which in turn will give you more time to review your work for any possible error.

The speaking test is the same for CBT and PBT. An interview session with an examiner.

Overall, the beauty of CBT for me is the 7 days turnaround time for result to be released. The 13 days waiting for PBT is hell given the high stake of the test. You don't want to keep playing the recording of the listening test in your head for 13 days and wondering if you got a spelling right or if you wrote plural when it was supposed to be singular. But in all, you still have to ask yourself if you are ready to adapt to change and test the waters of CBT.

PS: Passing IELTS is first a thing of the mind. Prepare well, understand the tricks, especially in writing and speaking; relax and don't be anxious in the test hall. You will not be caught in the web of taking the test more than once. Cheers.
The CBT test in my opinion is better. It gives ample time to finish most of the task, especially in writing (if you are proficient with the use of a keyboard).

Hello All, Nice job. I did MOD/IELTS on the 21 March and my results were LSRW 9896.5 so I applied for a remark immediately. IELTS then sent an email attaching a refund form and Bank Trf form. Based on the mail I was expecting an upgrade in my online result immediately however nothing has happened. Please how long does it take to put the new result online cos I really want to upgrade my EE fast from my current 467. Kindly assist seniors.
That's an interesting score, congratulations as I think the score has increased. You might need to chill for a little while till this whole pandemic thing subsides before you can get your TRF. The online score update is a 50-50 thing because for some, they had their scores updated online but for many, that's not the case. It's a good thing that FSW draw isn't happening at the moment as well so just chill it out till Lagos suspends the total lockdown.

Cheers.

Not all banks, Sterling Bank has revised theirs to $1000 daily and $2000 monthly.
To completely eliminate the limit issues, people can walk into any bank to open a domiciliary account. They can request for a dollar debit card for the account, change their naira to dollars and deposit it inside the account. There's usually no limit to what you can spend on a dollar card and it cuts the unnecessary charges of dynamic exchange rates from banks. If you are paying $50, you get charged $50.

Hi guys.

Many thanks to all contributors this far. Please can anyone guide me on the following issues :

1. I have a masters degree in pharmacy but also a chartered accountant and my application is based on my years of experience as an accountant - will this create a problem?

2. I used my PFA as part of my POF, I was sure this won’t be a problem before , but I’m not so certain seeing after going through the threads.

3. I’ve been seeing comments on ordering GCMS and CSE. Please what are these? And how do I find out my visa office

Please help!
For the first question, you won't any issue whatsoever. You degree doesn't necessarily have to match your occupation.

At the bolded, I'll advise that you hustle the extra change that the PFA sorted in case your case officer doesn't have joy. You will use the change to sort the balance in case your CO isn't okay with the PFA.

Lastly, you can raise a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) to know the status of your application and it is free. You can raise it via IRCC website. GCMS notes are more explanatory than the CSE but they are in the same category, only that GCMS are offered by third parties hence, cost a lil fee but nothing exorbitant.

Please has there ever been a time the CRS benchmark for ITA was over 490huh?
Lol, no. It was around 700+ for the first few weeks of 2015 when they started the program but hasn't reached that peak since then.

It's pretty hard to attain 465, talk-less of 490+. It's hard but not impossible. A lot of factors have to work in your favour to be able to achieve that feat.

Greetings everyone and I hope you and your families are staying safe during this period.

Please I'll love to have your suggestions regarding my family's plan on migrating to Canada.

My wife is going to be the primary applicant, but we are both Sales Associate in Dubai, (NOC 6421 C) so we can't go through Express Entry.

Can you advise which PNP we can consider that does not require job offer.

Also, regarding POF, I have majority of the money in my account, do I need to move the money into her account now and we wait 6months before starting the application.

Thanks
Ontario is your best bet. Check British Columbia as well but I think their requirements aren't for the faint-hearted.

Thanks bro

He clarified it now wen i asked him.
Thing is that he spent three years as marketing officer. And 10 months as sales manager all at the same company. He will be 1year in his new job by 5th july. So now, how will his noc be; 3years and 1 year different NOCs?

Please advise; below is his job roles

CAREER HISTORY
July 2019- Till Date – AIICO INSURANCE PLC, LAGOS STATE.

Role: Unit Manager

- Recruitment of Agents, Training of Agents for promotion of life Insurance policies.
- Creation of Database and list of Appointments of Agents with customers.
- Communicating with other departments of the company for streamlining of process within your team.
- Relating with the Agency Manager on team progress and limitations.

May 2016 – June 2019 – AIICO INSURANCE PLC, LAGOS STATE.

Role: Marketing officer.

- Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers while generating list of prospect.
- Perform administrative tasks, handling policy renewals and maintaining records.
- Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitably for both the clients and the insurer.
For the bolded, check NOC 1123.

Note that the duties you listed are not enough. Let the duties be at least 5. It would help the CO match your roles with your NOC easily.

For the first one, check 0125. Should fit in. Plenty years of experience is required to claim any managerial position successfully though so, I am going to advice that you stick to the 1123 since you already have the required 3years from there. Include the second one in your personal history.
