GoodofNaija: What of companies such as banks who won't give reference letters, Will the employment letter and bank statement/payslips be adequate for proof of employment? The employment letter carries your job description and hours of work, right? If yes, that alongside the bank statements and/or payslips would suffice. You should also attach a LOE to explain your circumstance. |

achmed1: I submitted a few days ago. Status hasn't changed since.
A colleague got her nomination within 3 weeks of submission earlier this year.
I am hoping mine moves as fast as that too. I know someone that submitted on 11th and nothing has changed since then. They updated their processing timelines recently. They now process HCP applications between 60-90days, but that's not to say that it can't happen earlier than that. I guess they released that to take the pressure off a bit but our Indian brothers no go still hear word lol. |

achmed1: Hey guys I need some advice... submitted oinp application recently...went back to check again and noticed a small mistake...
Under a section were we indicate how much is available to us as settlement funds I indicated 12900 cad instead of 12960 cad Which is ircc requirement for a single applicant.
Although my pof as per documents submitted and letter of explanation is well in excess of the required amount.
Should I be worried? or do I contact them to make the correction? No, I don't think you should be worried since your POF shows that you've got more than enough. Also, OINP gives you the chance to clarify whatever ambiguity they find in your application so I think they will contact you if they have queries about that. That said, they seem to be a bit slow with processing of application recently. When did you submit your application and what stage is it? Assessment or DIP? |

Grreenk: 1. Goodday house, please is salary bank statment a must to prove job your employment with a company? and if so many years bank statement is needed? No. They request for only your reference letter. Babk statements, payslips or what have you are just other means to show the CO that you got paid. 2. Does ircc contact you place of work for background check? Yes they do, when they feel there's something fishy about what you've submitted. |

Marykelly: Please can payslips her on regular A4 paper? Should the annual pay to be indicated on the reference letter be less deductions or it should be the gross? 1. There are no statutory format for payslips, it totally depends on the organisation issuing it. 2. Payslips usually carry gross so let your reference letter carry your net annual salary. |

Skillzthebadguy: So I can go on and apply and no worry about my taxes right ?, Nothing concern them with your taxes except you are CEC. Your reference letter is enough but if you are the meticulous type, you can include either of offer of employment, confirmation of employment (if applicable), promotion letter, pay review letter or pay slips. If your work place has an online presence, your reference letter is enough. Keep it simple. |

GeologistMajor: I doubt this. Work experience he got before his highest certificate should be valid. Btw even work experience gain during your studies is valid if it's a paid employment. Yes, for FSW. Work experience during studies doesn't count if you are CEC. |

NaijaGoingMaple: Every NOC has basic qualification requirements. For instance, if a 2-year diploma in a college or university is all that is required to practice in my declared occupation - NOC XYZ, the work experience that will count will be that after my diploma and not work done pre diploma. So if my declared NOC has professional degree eg for medical doctors, then on the job experience will be after obtaining my MBBS. Except you are claiming work experience in a regulated occupation such as doctors, nurses, pharmacist and so forth, the employment requirement doesn't necessarily have to match your degree. You can study computer science and work in an advertising firm, Canada accepts this. All they need from you is the reference stating that you worked whatever roles you are claiming and also that you got paid for it. |

ProfessorJim: Thankyou for your response. Will the person receive an ITA if the draws fall far below the person's crs score pending when the oinp processing is completed? Yes, you will get ITA and your profile would no longer be available for OINP nomination. You will also need to withdraw your application from OINP. |

Deedsy: Just received my PPR.. Wow! I'm still surprised as I called IRCC just yesterday and was told my eligibility was recommended pass while my security had not been started. My AOR was on March 12 and due date Sept 12. I was thinking the Covid would have delayed the application.
I'm so grateful to God and to every single person here on Nairaland. And to all the mods who helped create fantastic page 1. That was all I read and that was what helped me submit a good application.
Thank you Nairaland. Congratulations! |

Hellvicks: Just a random thought!
How does IRCC determine if my proof of funds is okay with fluctuating exchange rate? Do they have a standard rate they use in arriving at a decision or they just check the rate as at the day they’re reviewing?
I ask because if this fx fluctuations continue, man POF fit go reduce pass the minimum o! Post AOR, I dey calculate my POF against daily exchange rate and e just dey reduce by the day. Anyone with clear insight on how the POF decision thing works? Lol, just add excess and also, let's hope they don't devalue the Naira. Not sure how true this is but I learnt they review rates quarterly so daily fluctuations wouldn't affect much. |

babajust: Hi folks,
Can I change my wife's primary NOC to a 1 years experience she has from 2012 to 2013 as against her current NOC which is from 2013 till now? Our target is OINP as we just realized she has a chance with the 1 year experience which is on demand on OINP. There are other eligibility requirements for OINP. Having an occupation that is in demand in the province alone is not a guarantee that she'd be nominated, even after receiving NOI. |
