Politics › Re: Why We Change Our Position On Buhari. Ex-millitant by lastpage: 6:53pm On Apr 19, 2015
Pastor Wilson: According to the ex-militant leaders, though they have discovered that the defeat of President Goodluck Jonathan at the poll was a conspiracy of the South-West and the North against the South-South and the South-East, the decision to stand firm and support the incoming administration is based on the premise that the Amnesty Programme, initiated under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan will not be stopped.

The statement signed by Pastor Wilson, congratulated the president-elect on his victory at the poll, but begged him not to abandon the amnesty programme of the federal government. “We have called on all freedom fighters to support the incoming administration to enable it fulfill its campaign promises to Nigerians,” he said.

Wilson, who described the amnesty programme as the only panacea to peace and security in the Niger Delta region, warned that it should not be toyed with by the incoming government. He warned that there will be no peace in the region if the Presidential Amnesty Programme is neglected or abandoned.

Very funny,Fayose is now playing the victim card.He is a technocrat. I see this move as a delay tactics.negotiating with the enemy while time runs out,and calling them corrupt after their demands are met. Thus, proving to the world that APC is also corrupt while claiming to fight corruption.
Fayose is a master chess player,APC has limited time to run him out of government if they want to.After that time,he would be safe.Fayose's appeal to sympathy is a nice game plan.
If Fayose is impeached, it'll also rub off bad on APC cuz majority of the people in Ekiti love him and he has also been gaining the admiration of other PDP loyalist around the country hailed as a dogged fighter.APC will just make a martyr out of him if the impeachment falls through, and that might divide the SW along not just political but also sentimental lines.
The best thing is just to leave him to self destruct.same way PDP is playing the 'peace' card while maybe plotting, scheming and waiting.
My humble opinion is that APC should not tarnish their image by seeming vengeful and violent when they cannot get their way. They should show us positive change and maturity with their actions and dispositions. GEJ was also insulted and attacked by numerous APC governors.Fayose only did what he felt was good for political business and he made the whole campaign period a very exciting one.
Note-I'm nonpartisan, I'm only an objective observer.APC&PDP e-warrior,I'm expecting your various replies and insults cuz the truth hurts.
You just gave yourself away!! grin grin grin

All the same, Fayose will be impeached, to serve as a lesson and deterrence to future Politicians.

LOME, Togo, Feb. 1— Tens of thousands of
hungry and impoverished people who have been
expelled from Nigeria hurried today along the
seaside road that leads to the frontier with
ghana at the edge of this normally quiet West
African capital.
The refugees, expelled for economic and political
reasons by Nigeria, passed through Lome in
taxis, cattle trucks and on foot, most of them
men in their 20's, many of them carrying a single
suitcase as they walked along the Atlantic
coastal road.
Some two million unskilled foreign workers living
illegally in Nigeria were ordered to start leaving
by Monday. At least half of them were
Ghanaians, and others were from Mali, Chad,
Niger, Upper Volta, Benin and Togo. Under
international and African pressure, President
Shehu Shagari of Nigeria extended the expulsion
deadline for skilled foreigners, mostly
schoolteachers, until March 1.
President Shagari announced the expulsions Jan.
17, saying the foreigners were the cause of
economic problems and religious and racial
unrest. 16 Reported to Have Died
In Lagos, the Nigerian capital, at least 16 people
were reported to have died as a result of the
forced exit. Six people drowned in the Lagos
harbor Monday night trying to climb aboard
overcrowded ships leaving for Accra, ghana 's
capital. Ten refugees were said to have starved
to death.

At the frontier, Togolese guards let the refugees
pass by the thousands without a check. A
hundred yards away, by a concrete arch with the
words ''Welcome to ghana '' in large letters,
Ghanaian border guards appeared to be making
only cursory inspections of the refugees as they
entered. As one truck carrying perhaps 50
refugees crossed the border, the Ghanaians
cheered -but not loudly, more in relief than joy. A
boy waved a small Ghanaian flag from the back
of the truck.

There is no comparison here except if you are just up to some useless mischief!

None of those who died, where reported to have been MURDERED by any Nigerian.

Yes, Nigerian Govt expelled them, gave them nearly two months to pack out but No Nigerian citizen went as far as being barbaric by killing the foreigners.
That is how matured and enlightened Nigerians are, compared to these S/Africans
Even abroad, l have come across not a few S/Africans who display the same xenophobic mentality, especially towards Nigerians!
Their inferiority complex is as high as the Al Khalifa building!

This is the difference between some Western countries and African countries.

This same practice is obtainable in ALL markets and even worse in markets in the East.

They threatened to set everything on fire if we dont pay!
They claim they are Union leaders and are empowered by the LGA to levy and collect such money. Eventually we "bargained to 75K".
Go to Alaba today or Aspamda, where Ibos are predominant, the same is obtainable!

This fracas is all about "Money and Control/Power"...Period!

What l would suggest is that the Lagos State Government MUST put "State Structures" on ground in every Market whereby the ABSOLUTE CONTROL of the market, rests with the Government and such payments be made to Government Accounts in a Bank.

Traders can Unionize but they should and must never be allowed to assume such powers as ownership and control of the Markets. wink undecided

East(South): are hard working people with the abilities to farm, manufacture, trading + the inclusion of oil, which would make us stupendously rich.

Everyone knows that the greatest problem we face in Nigeria, is Politicians who dont care not serve the electorate, for the simple reason that they know that winning elections in Nigeria is not a function of what vote the electorate casted. IT IS A FUNCTION OF PERFECTED RIGGING!
*Why then is it that it is the same Jonathan who is "self-praising" that he oversaw the conduct of the freest election in Nigeria, the same man who wanted to destroy what Prof Jega was doing, to ensure that no party can rig the election?
*Was it not Mr. Jonathan who wanted to abolish the use of PVC and Card readers at all cost?
*Was it not the same Jonathan who was scheming about how he can remove Jega and replace him with that Prof form Ekiti/Ondo so tha ttha one can jettison the use of Card Readers?

*Was it not the same jonathan who postponed the election by 6weeks so that he can secure more advantage to himself?
*Was it not the same Jonathan who was sharing Dollars... thereby corrupting our democracy the more?
*Even when his "bedroom appendage" was urging people to "Stone" the opposition, did Jonathan caution her at all? No!

Jonathan was very confident of winning the election but got the shocker of his life, which is the main reason for "conceding defeat his early"...when Jega insisted on using Card readers and calle on the outside world to prevail on Jonathan not to interfere in the electoral process.
The second and most important shocker for Jonathan was when America and the European Union WARNED HIM and THREATENED TO HOLD HIM RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY VIOLENCE DURING AND AFTER THE ELECTION, DUE TO HIS NEGATIVE INFLUENCE ON THE PROCESS.

THIS WAS A "RED CARD" TO JONATHAN.

He knew he lost the election.
He knew that if he did not concede defeat, there would be violence
He knew that if there was violence, America, the E.U and other world powers, will rapidly effect his arrest and detention
He knew there was a precedence, which he also participated-in, ....the Laurent Gbagbo of Ivory Coast scenario
He knew Obasanjo had drawn attention to all his schemings and "nothing he does, will be a surprise anymore.

He knew that he has ONLY TWO CHOICES:

#1: To concede quickly and still hope that he could give himself a soft-landing (like he is trying to do now by running his mouth)...... or

#2: To refuse to concede, leading to violence and for him to end up in an "International Prison" like Gbagbo and his wife.

As someone who does not even have balls (it stakes balls to do what Gbagbo did, though stewpid), as a man who is SELFISH and cares more about his own personal safety, an educated man, Mr. Jonathan chose the path of SELF PRESERVATION by conceding quickly.

It has nothing to do with "love for Nigeria" or "wanting peace" or "being a gentleman" or any thing of the nature of VIRTUE
It was a straight-forward decision that any rational man will make: Self Preservation, trumps any other consideration of the "Rich".
Suicide bombers are usually the poor or the brain-washed........ not rich and rational humanbeing like Mr. Ebelete Jonathan!

CORRECTMAN78:
You see why I laugh at those dunce who uncontrolably wag their tongue in utterly hatred whenever GEJ rare quality, sportsmanship is reminiscenced. How would they know that it is one thing to sufer defeat and entirely another to concede defeat, most expecially in the continent where we found our selves. Someone else other than Jonathan would chose our(Nigerians) blood sparter on the streets than relinguishing power.

You may wish to know that before and during the election, even now(just about 50% stable), Nigeria is more frajile than an egg.
But while some people are working assiduously to skilfully sucture the almost shreded portion in Nigeria unity, and to ensure the recuperating peace we now enjoy does not meet deadluck, some pawns are here peddling trash.

Wish they know we've not won it all.
You know it never cease to amaze me when Jonathan tries to sell this "Mr. Nice" dummy to Nigerians.... granted, people from the East can buy it hook, line and sinker simply because they are blinded by Tribalism/Ethnicity..... but to try to sell this "snake oil" to others, is the hieght of effrontery on the part of Mr. Ebelete Jonathan.

You only need to catalogue his actions BEFORE and DURING the elections, both DIRECT and the ones he ordered INDIRECTLY, to know exactly the kind of man he is.

I repeat, Jonathan is such an EVIL PERSONA that even Satan The Devil is envious of him.

For example, when those Chibok girls were kidnapped, parents and villagers kept MONITORING their Kidnappers and where the girls were kept and for 14 good days, they keep informing Govt of the girls LOCATION (you know it is not easy to hide nearly 300 goats, not to mention grown up girls!
Jonathan was aware and from his WICKED HEART, he decided not to act. He knew if he quickly acted, we will recover the girls and the matter will come to a quick end but he wanted the matter to prolong itself so he can use it for "political capital" as we say.
Today, the girls have been abused, all raped, some pregannt, some dead, some gone mad and all scattered in small groups in about four different countries bordering Nigeria such that any meaningful recovery is impossible!
Even up to a day to the Presidential election, Mr. Jonathan was still lying to Nigerians that the girls would be recovered by the next day (election day) unfailingly so much so that he brought and painted an Aeroplane in the Gren-White-Green colour, to purpotedly bring the "recovered" girls to Abuja!

Now, as per conceding defeat, Mr. Jonathan is once again playing dumb and dumber with Nigerians.

Naturally, when you lose election, the ONLY sensible thing to do is to concede defeat. Doing so is "No Biggy".
But then, it was obvious, except to his "ethnically blind" supporters, that he will lose, is losing and has lost the election.

Jonathan conceded because he was AFRAID of the "other option".
He knew everyone, including the international community were just waiting for him to start trouble so they can beat some sense back into his head.

*Was it not Jonathan who was arming the Creek Militants, with as much as a warship and they were threatening to burn Nigeria down, if he lost? Did he for ONCE CAUTION them to STOP? No, rather, he edged them on.
*Was it not the same Jonathan who cam to Lagos to embrace, fund and instigate the OPC? Do you know how many people OPC, and other "Jonathan-funded" hoodlums killed in Lagos before and during the last elections? Did he for once caution them? No!

*Was it not Jonathan's wife, that fat, illiterate slob called Patience, who was engineering al the violence in Rivers State? Did Jonathan for once, call her to order? Again, No!

*Was it not Jonathan who used the military to intimidate his opponents, from citing an armored tank in front of Tinubu's house in Lagos, to harassing sitting Governors in Edo, Rivers, e.t.c?
*Was it not the same Jonathan that used the military to rig elections in #Ekitigate?

Lost due to incompetence in tackling insecurity, economic woes and weak leadership.
Lost to a supreme candidate
Lost to poor campaigns
Lost to cluelessness on issues relating to corruption and impunity.
Lost to numerical strength in opposition.
Lost for postponing the election by 6 weeks.
Lost due to poor campaign teams.
Lost due to spouse control and influence on your personhood over affairs of the country.

The ONLY place to get the Money is to recover the LOOTED FUNDS from the likes of Dezziani madueke, GEJ, Adoke, Fayose, e.t.c
