Kobojunkie:Well, he probably did research, so he maybe right if the research was well done about marriages in Yoruba land but I know that in a place like the USA, Nigerians are known for their strong family values. I meant that I pointed out ethnic rivalry as a causative factor for the malaise in Nigeria. I believe it is, maybe you dont. Would you say France was not looming over Francophone west Africa until recently?. If you say Britain has not been looming over Nigeria you would be wrong. I am doing my best that I can offer for the country and overtime I have learnt many things. I used to think we over flog the issue of neo colonialism but I was wrong. We stand on the mistakes and exploits of our ancestors. There were great men and faulty men among them. |
Kobojunkie:I mean I don't agree that marriages here are the worst in the world. Then the discussion is about Nigeria. He pointedly said Nigerian men have made a mess of the country and I pointed out that the mess is a colonial mess and the rivalry among ethnic groups is a contributory factor to the malaise. I agree with him that if a country is bad you blame the men but I pointed out an important causative factor. |
Ideologies and the future of humanity. A major downside of civilization or city living is religion or ideologies in general. Religion is spiritual ideology while other non spiritual ideologies exist. If people are not living together in great numbers, there will be little opportunity to brainwash them in any particular direction. They would be more of freethinkers. We are a collaborative species. We advance greatly by working together. For us, it is a case of if one can solve one hundred problems, then two working together will be able to solve ten thousand. That is the multiplier effect of collaboration. Nothing is more poisonous to civilization than ideologies and ideologies thrive when people live together in great numbers and unless people live together in great numbers and collaborate accordingly, advancement will be slow. People fight and kill each other over ideologies. Ideologies were not prominent on Earth before the coming or outbreak of Christianity. I can hardly think of anything that drove people to hate, fight and kill each other outside the control of territory before religion. Before Christianity, wars were fought largely only over territory. Since Christianity we have had non spiritual ideologies like Capitalism and socialism in the economic or nation building sector added to the fray for which people died during the cold war. As a community, we must be on the lookout for ideologies to be able to nip them in the bud before they fester because they are like brain cancer. A good starting point is to teach kids to question everything. |
Kobojunkie:The major reason he hates Yoruba men is they expect to be prostrated to during the wedding of their daughters. Marriages here even last longer than global average so the other issues about marital rape etc that he raised can be contested. I don't accept that it occurs more here. I agree that there is rivalry between Yoruba subgroups and that we can deal with the rivalry in Nigeria no matter how long it takes but it will still be a colonial state using English. It will still be a successor of the British empire. The Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo etc are big enough to stand on their own two feet in the United Nations using their own languages. However the rivalry among Yoruba subgroups is not unhealthy. The rivalry in Nigeria is totally unhealthy. There are often fatal clashes and etc. Security first. |
Kobojunkie:I have responded to him. I told him it is wrong to blame all white people for what the British or the French did with their colonial empires. I agreed with him. People are divided into ethnicities and nations and not into colors. I also said if he does not like the mega show of respect by the groom on wedding days during Yoruba weddings he should talk to his Yoruba fiancee if his fiancee is Yoruba. What more to add?. There is nothing harmful in Yoruba culture even if the respect is excessive. We can't change for him. I also talked about how inter ethnic rivalry is a root cause of Nigeria's go slow |
dederocs:You don't need to ban Miyetti as a governor, what you need is to ban open grazing after giving them time then start arresting and seizing the cattle of violators |
Rossikk:It was not all the time they asked an offending king to commit suicide. It depends on the offense. They often just remove the King. There were kings in Oyo and IJESA that were sacked and later recalled again. In Oyo, Sango's elder brother was sacked and Sango was put there. Sango later entered the ground or disappeared and his brother was recalled to become Alaafin once again. Religion did not exist on Earth before Christianity. All cultures had their spirituality and they adhered to it. Hopefully the whole world will return to that era of spiritual peace and tranquility |
dederocs:My point is we are not fully Homo sapiens. We have Neanderthal, Denisovan and etc ancestors and those are not native to Africa. West Africans even have what is called ghost DNA from an unidentified hominid |
Samantha125:You mean foreigners only know about four. I know Zulu and Xhosa |
So SA has only ten ethnic nationalities, Nigeria has hundreds |
Build like ten units of three bedroom flats for letting out to safeguard your money and be using any remaining change to trade. You can learn how to trade anything from clothes to foodstuff to airtime and etc. You should be OK that way |
Makamatic:That is real cowardice because even foreigners are making it big in the country |
abbasajao:Since the beginning of time, all cultures have contained people who don't worship idols but they are not Muslims. Why?. Because they don't fight Idolators, they don't have holy land, they have no last prophet and a legion other reasons. |
Ofemannnu:Yes there are some Ilaje in Delta state |
So far there is a committee above the King that can overrule him or her on anything and also be able to sack him or her without notice or ceremony it can work |
mrvitalis:Yes I am doing that. There is a need for all Yorubas in west Africa to be in.one country. If East and west Germany can reunite after decades, the Yoruba should do the same after colonization. |
Ofemannnu:There is Itsekiri, some Ilaje and Olukunmi. |
Ofemannnu:Some Jebba towns are in Southern Niger state. Jebba has like 33 towns |
tundegan:I think the problem is in counting only the southwest as Yorubas when Yoruba land stretches to southern Niger state, Edo and Delta state. |
Philipponzaghi:Population also helps Development and advancement. Many heads are better than one. The more your population the more your GDP and the more your representation in government |
The true proportion of Yoruba population in Nigeria. The reality is that the Yoruba are slightly over thirty percent of the Nigerian population, not the 21 percent that is often reported. The Yoruba own by over 80 percent indigenously seven states in Nigeria apart from their ancestral lands in other states. No other group in Nigeria have up to eighty percent in seven states. The Hausa have over 80 percent in six states. The seven states for the Yoruba are six in the southwest and Kwara state in the North central. The Yoruba also own parts of Edo, Niger, Delta and Kogi states. The total population on Yoruba land in Nigeria will be over 70 million or close to 75 million and that is over thirty percent of Nigeria’s population. The non indigenes staying in Yoruba land are canceled out by Yoruba living in other places in Nigeria and across the world. What and who you have on your land is your property as an ethnic nationality. In conclusion, the true percentage of Yoruba population in Nigeria is over thirty percent and not the twenty one percent often reported. |
As it is now, anyone can contest elections anywhere. What new value will the bill add if adopted?. Even as it is, you can be adopted by indigenes if you know how to maneuver yourself. |
Disposable income |
May their souls rest in peace. |
Fenrir:I am not given to physical troublemaking just online |
Fenrir:Do you support their right to be indoctrinating people including children and even employ people to do that?. Do you think they have the right to be threatening law abiding people with hell fire?.etc etc |
Fenrir:Any freedom you have that does not respect other people's freedom should be taken from you. There is no big deal in taking their properties. It is NGO properties |
Fenrir:I have told you what I am advocating for. A banning of Christianity and Islam from the public space. All their properties should be seized by government. They are trying to cancel all Earth's cultures. They themselves should be canceled |
Fenrir:There is no violence the Muslims can make that can.match the inquisition where over 100,000 people were burnt at the stakes by psychopathic christian saints in Europe. That was how Europe was force converted. Nowadays they compete with government for revenue and send hitmen after rivals or opposition. They brainwash people and etc. They spread immorality by saying Christ has died for all sins. In any case there is no way you can fight Islam and exonerate Christianity. Mohammed himself was converted by Christians before he added his own to what he got from them. If you believe in the virgin birth and the prophet hood of Jesus in the seventh century you were a Christian. Mohammed was a Christian |
Fenrir:Jews don't threaten anyone but Christians do. Christians threaten unbelievers with eternal damnation. Online, on TV, on radio, in newspapers and etc. I am surprised you don't know. Have you read the Bible?. I want the world to return to the tranquility and peace of traditional spiritualities. Christianity and Islam did not exist two thousand years ago. They will not be missed |
Fenrir:I beg your pardon. Christians and Muslims threaten us that if we don't follow them, God will punish us in hell. I think it is right for all right thinking human beings to join hands and stop them in public places. They can do it privately or at home but using public buildings should be outlawed. That is what I am fighting for. I want the world to be restored to what it was before Apostle Paul started preaching to Gentiles. I want spiritual decorum. Is that too much to ask for? |
