As the protests start, what is the way forward for Nigeria?. The protest is a good thing because any human being can sit down and calculate how much a human being living alone in Nigeria needs to survive. The amount for food alone for an adult eating two times a day is not less than sixty thousand naira per month in today’s Nigeria and we still have other bills like power, communications, clothes, transport and etc and there must be an allowance for savings. That is why the protest is a good thing. Seventy thousand naira per month does not cut it. The adult in question also have to be cooking their own food. However, on Nigeria on the overall, a problem will be difficult to solve if it is not correctly identified. The problem of Nigeria is borne from the government not depending on taxation and Lagos state is not affected by that problem. The majority of the country is disorderly because of that. If the country breaks up today and the system is not changed anywhere, the same problem will persist. The fault is not inherently in the people at the helms of affair. As a matter of fact, within a good system where taxation is the source of government revenue, low quality human beings that find themselves at the helm of affairs will align properly. Nigeria is so badly run that nationals of neighboring nations like Benin republic, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire and etc do not any longer seek greener pastures in Nigeria as it used to be while there are millions of Nigerians in those countries. However Lebanese, Chinese, Indians and some others thrive in Nigeria and they are in their millions. That is because they.have invested in the huge market and they have a large community running into a total of several millions of people. They are either managing their own businesses or working in the businesses of their own people or in Nigeria’s organized private sector. As the protest starts, remember that a problem not correctly identified can only be solved by chance. The best bet for Nigeria is to break up along ethnic lines so that proper west African nations that will tend their own land as they have done for millennia will be birthed or rather continue from where they stopped before colonization. Nigeria can only exist as an English nation and that is not good enough for any nation inside Nigeria. |
Does the color of the skin determine the degree of genetic relationship? The degree of genetic relationship is determined by how long ago the ancestors of the two groups in question interbred seamlessly or as a unit. I gather that there is not enough intermediate data in form of DNA to accurately determine the level of genetic relatedness of human groups. The Yoruba as an example must have been reproductively isolated from any East or South African group for as long as they have been isolated from any Celtic, Germanic or Slavic group in Europe, the similarity or lack of it of the hue of the skin notwithstanding. The average hue of the skin or the average pigmentation in the skin of an ethnic group is determined by the latitude of their habitat on Earth surface and it is nothing more than that. Australoids who look like west Africans are more genetically related to Europeans than they are to any African group. Human phenotype is adaptive to the habitat. Slavs in Russia for instance were definitely reproductively isolated from Celts before the modern era or before the industrial revolution for as long as they have been isolated from any African group but both groups are pigmented to approximately the same degree. All nations are made up of immigrants and I have some Irish and Viking in my DNA make up apart from others. The only difference is that some nations like the USA, Brazil and etc were birthed recently. My family have been IJESA for less than ten generations, maybe for around three hundred years while IJESA is just less than 1500 years of age as a nation. Whether birthed recently or long ago, a nation is a nation. As a nation, you have your identity and you are genetically related to your neighbors and trade partners that you interbreed with while your identity is unique to you and branded by language, cultural practices and etc A nation like the USA is made up of native American, European, West African and other ancestry. Modern Yoruba is made up of inputs from neighbors, European and other ancestry. All nations are like that. Nations therefore are ethnic and etc in identity and the Earth is not divided into colors or continents but into nations of people and a fair skinned group might be more related to a dark skinned group than they are to any fair skinned group just like the dark skinned Australoids in Australia are more related to Europeans than to Africans. I do not think any group can live in a particular habitat for more than a few thousands of years before the habitat is stamped on their average phenotype. |
oranget:yes but they were more than that because they also peer reviewed the King and can overrule the king on any issue. They can also summarily remove the king |
Iwori Osa A congregation is always wiser than an individual. This was the IFA cast for the nation where the plans of the government must be peer reviewed by an assembly of elders. They were advised to sacrifice. They listened and complied. Onlooking people of Po and Offa Vital plans and decisions for a whole nation should not go without peer review. Notes. Decisions reached by consensus serve the community better than decisions reached by a single individual and that is the power and importance of the ancient Ogboni brotherhood. The Ogboni of an ancient Yoruba nation was the supreme court of that nation and the Oba was not more than a messenger of the Ogboni who can overrule him or her on any issue after elaborate debate. Nothing except personal issues should be left to individuals to plan. Every plan should be the result of a debate and that was the relationship between the Ogboni and the Oba or Kings of Yoruba nations in the past. Even personal plans are best arrived at after debates. Iwori Osa. |
Laird:are you saying it is the cost of building materials that causes houses in the US for instance to be more expensive than in Ethiopia or Nigeria for instance?. we all know that isnt true. Then People will always invest in real estate even if returns is very very low. People will build for themselves and others definitely. |

LandMann:How come you so lack home training? you lack the training of how to address strangers or talk in public. Are you a real person though it is a faceless forum. Your mannerlessness is daunting |
LandMann:If a thirty.thousand dollar rent is reduced to four hundred dollars, then.you perform the same operation on all debts and etc. It is simple and straightforward but the experts know exactly how to do it. The objective is to reduce the cost of living to be at par with low income countries |
Remman:in the case of real estate it does not apply because unlike food, clothing, services and etc real estate can not be moved around. Every basic necessity of life can be traded across borders except real estate. That is the issue. We have price accross borders for other things |
Remman:. Homelessness more or less does not exist in low income countries but they are hinging closer. In high income countries, a CEO of a small business can become homeless |
Remman:in case you do not know, building materials are not more expensive in high income countries. |
Remman:If you have been following my posts, you will know that nobody has gained from the US more than me. However this post concerns the whole world. If it can crash pump price of PMS to less than 80 naira per liter, it concerns Nigeria. If it can make cocoa exports outweigh oil, it concerns Nigeria |
OPICANTO2223:I am the author of the idea |
The executive order in the USA that will change the world. The US President can sign an executive order saying a well finished three bedroom, two bath apartment well finished anywhere in the USA should cost only between three hundred and five hundred dollars per annum in rent and use that scale to fix rent for all accommodations across the country. All high income countries would follow suit and salaries, prices and overall cost of living in high income countries will drop like a rock. Everywhere will be as cheap to live in as say Ethiopia or North Korea as it should be. As salaries, prices and cost of living generally drop in high income countries, low income countries will gain by way of a crash in oil prices which will go down by more than ninety percent if not more. Pump price for PMS in a place like Nigeria will plummet to around ten percent of what it is currently. Other things imported from high income countries will also experience sharp drops in prices. It will be the beginning of a new world order of equality and governments will stay on top of everything by regulating the real estate sector which is the only immoveable part of the basic necessities of life. For the past decades, the real estate sector have been preying on the rest of the economy especially in high income nations but all countries are exposed. If your per capita income as a nation is over five thousand dollars per annum, you are very exposed. |
President Obasanjo and Erelu Sola Obada: Sabotage against humanity is not affordable. According to IFA, President Obasanjo mentioned to an Egba chief that my problem is that I do not submit under authority. The view shows clearly his mindset which is that you need to do the wishes of evil people if they are an authority over you as Queen Elizabeth is an authority over him in the British commonwealth. The same mindset is the mindset of Erelu Obada who has been doing dirty work for Queen Elizabeth of England for decades believing you have to follow any order dictated by a superior even if it amounts to sabotaging your own people and humanity at large. To be a good human being for the global community, you must be first good to yourself and your primary constituency and there is no way around that. Both President Obasanjo and Erelu Obada have no excuse to be among the tools, facilitators of evil or soldiers of Queen Elizabeth because after all leaders of much smaller countries than Nigeria in the same Africa have been able to stand against Queen Elizabeth successfully with no incidence where President Obasanjo and Erelu Obada would have said they stood a risk of being assassinated by her. There are examples in Nigeria but a successful one in the public space is Robert Mugabe of ten million.population Zimbabwe. Therefore if Robert Mugabe could do it without incidence and with success then President Obasanjo and Erelu Obada could have, just like many leaders in the same Nigeria never compromised their values. Both of them may want to say they only worked for Queen Elizabeth but they actually worked for their own selfish desires as well. A lesson to take away for onlookers is that when you are doing evil, you and your collaborators are not the only ones watching. There are always other people watching and among them are those working for God. In this case of the third world war which has Nigeria as the epicenter, the ones working for God is the US led alliance. |
Corporation Management: Board membership by equity contribution. Intended for middle class citizens with managerial experience and potential for easily guiding the management of for profit corporations to sustained profitability as board members The aim of the paper is the efficient harnessing of leadership resources for corporation guidance or board membership within any economic space. It can not be gainsaid that board composition is as important for the success of any corporation as the management team. The question then arises, ‘How should a major shareholder of a for profit corporation choose nominees for board membership?’. The problem statement is ‘How can a major shareholder in a corporation and player in several other sectors of the economy be able to effectively monitor its interests via nominees to the board of corporations where it has equity?’. The assumption is that most people with the right experience and age to guide the management team of a for profit corporation also have accumulated sizeable assets of their own in form of real estate in particular on which an annual rent of three to five percent of the construction value of the estate is payable. The idea is that the ownership of the home or homes of the board nominee be passed to the corporation for the duration of the tenure of the nominated director while the nominee becomes a rent paying tenant of the company as the company becomes his or her employer for the duration of the board membership. The standard can be that the annual pay of the board member can be 120 percent of the rent they pay the company before dividends are shared. The home address or addressees of the director can serve as second tier addresses of the corporation. This sort of management facility by asset rental will tie all board members to the corporation and they will therefore as genuine stakeholders be able to have a better output as directors. In the case of a board member resigning or being sacked before the end of their tenure, the money he or she is owed and the rent they owe the company will be reconciled at the legal and accounts departments of the company and their property documents will be returned to them. In the case of a preferred nominee not having enough assets for him or her to be paid a high wage, then they should be allowed to go into joint ventures with any of their friends or family that can prop them up. If a very preferred nominee does not have any asset at all then the nominating authority can do the needful by granting them some. An implication of this management facility is that corporations in general will have to be listing real estate as one of their ventures. Each board member will therefore know what percentage of the company they own, however small. A major shareholder is already gaining something which floor member shareholders are not gaining, it is therefore okay if they bring in real estate which the company can use as financial security for operations. A good rule for this system is that the nominating authority must not use the properties personally but must surrender it to the board of the company for the company to use. |
Nobody will close their business because of minimum wage increase and nobody will employ more than the workers they need because wages are low. Nobody. If cost of living especially rent is not thesame in all states, it is only in a few cities not even states that have expensive areas and rent is the main problem. Each state can calculate what is ok to live on and it will still be almost thesame on average. |
Inflation is when the value of a currency falls as a result of its mass printing by its central bank. It will result in the increase across board of the cost of all goods and services. I believe naira in circulation more than doubles every ten years in Nigeria but a steady population increase also covers it up to a large extent. How you differentiate price increase due to inflation from ordinary price increase caused by an increase in the cost of production is that price increase due to inflation affects all goods and services while a differential in cost of production, maybe due to a new methodology or technology affects only a specific product affected by the new technology or methodology. However there is also an overlap. What we have in Nigeria presently is increase in prices due to mass printing of the naira and that is inflation. It is money in circulation that can be spent and if minimum wage is increased without the mass printing of currency there will be no significant price increase but the economy will be under better or more efficient management. The fact that you need to pay a minimum wage to any worker will mean you must run your business more efficiently. Minimum wage is for base workers to make sure they can afford the basic necessities of life and not much more than that. The lower cadre workers being able to afford the basic necessities of life can not result in inflation. It will result in an economic boom since the workers will be paying for those basic necessities of life and the producers will be smiling to the bank. |
Melonsmasher:Inflation is not caused by wage increase. It is caused by the value of the currency dropping as a result of money printing by government. When you print money too much, prices will rise but price can also rise or fall gradually as a result of gradual increase or decrease in cost of production. However the recent price increase in Nigeria is inflation meaning a mass printing of the naira. If money is low in circulation or scarce, prices of goods will be automatically low. |
phineas:It is an inadequate understanding of how the economy works that makes people believe they can not pay as employers. There is no kind of job existing in Nigeria that does not exist in high income countries and when minimum wage is imposed, every employer pay in those countries. The market will take care of everything |
The hall mark of an organized economic space is that minimum wage is not determined by the free market. |
LadyExcellency:It does not apply to corpers because they are paid by government |
The right way is to statutorily demand that they enroll them in pension fund and file PAYE report as well. The PAYE law should be amended to include all employers of labor and not only those who employ up to a certain number. |
The aftermath of the murder of 101 Nigerian majors. The CIA used the British PM to inform Bashorun MKO Abiola that it was Queen Elizabeth and General Babangida that committed the crime. Bashorun Abiola then coordinated a group of 101 Nigerians to write a celebratory letter to General Babangida saying they are behind him and they give him a pass mark over Nigeria. The letter was passed to General Babangida through the Emir of Ilorin. General Babangida understood the coded message and he came out plain to Bashorun Abiola by saying the murder of the Majors was ordered or directed by Queen Elizabeth. He also gave a lot of monies and favors to Bashorun Abiola. Bashorun Abiola gave money to many people. The Emir of Ilorin later sent a letter co signed by twenty five people in total including citizens and traditional rulers to Queen Elizabeth and the highest profile traditional ruler that signed the letter was the Emir of Ilorin. The letter said the British commonwealth has a new problem in Nigeria. The letter said Nigeria is secure only because there is nobody to counter the government led by General Babangida. He said the British prime minister did the right thing and he is a leader that is unusual for protecting the British Common wealth. The letter said Nigeria will be saved no matter what. He added that Bashorun Abiola is an unusual kind of leader and that Nigeria will agree with whatever is the desire of the Queen and that everybody is planning General Babangida’s security. The letter said that they will be sending a big gift to the Queen. All details gotten via IFA. It must be remembered that a ten years long war may not see one hundred Majors in the army dying. |
The government have no right to sell anybody's land to a business man. The Dangote group should have offered equity for land to the land owners. |
babasolution:Ijebu was defeated by an alliance of Britain and Ibadan. The bulk of the army was Ibadan. Ibadan was the Yoruba capital and the opening up of ijebu for trade was paramount in their mind as it was in the mind of Britain. Oyo was the second headquarter of ibadan and it was not bombed by Britain as you said. The only Oyo nation that gave Britain problem was Ilorin and what they said was that they signed a trade agreement and not a protection agreement with Britain. Oyo ile was burnt down by ilorin at a point and the burning down gave rise to the high population of many of the Oyo cities in the south of Nigeria |
babasolution:Ibadan was the Yoruba capital and they never fought with Britain. Yes Ijebu was defeated by an alliance between Ibadan and Britain and a resistance by Ilorin was stopped by Britain after the Kiriji war. |
The spiritual significance of the ebo. IFA confirmed that animals play a role in all spiritual processes and feeding them is beneficial to us, especially those among them that are on their own. When you win any confrontational debate and you are to move up in empathy rank, only an animal that is a mammal can help you ascend and if there is no mammal in sight you will remain at the same empathy level and the higher your empathy level, the more Godlike you are. The animal will behave in a strange way to you. An animal has behaved like that to me once and noticeably and I therefore understand the process Therefore if animals are the only ones doing that for human beings then Orunmila was right to say we should be feeding them when we seek to win any battle in the spirit. You can not ascend in empathy rank after winning a confrontational debate without an animal behaving to you strangely. According to IFA, Orunmila expanded Esu to be what it is today as it was originally just the orisa of planning or plans. |
babasolution:Can't you read my explanation that Yoruba never fought any war with Britain?. They were invited. |
