Am so suprise at the rate people are putting engine oil on newly circumcised boy ,In my hospital for my 1st issue,I was only given paracetamol then, was told not to put anything on it and the place healed within fees days

I just got penicillin cream will apply it with vaceline. The nurse said the place must not be dry btw

Mama u and ur hubby I go kon tie una legs too,haba that small baby chai I dey feel for him oo. He will be fine,my sis naked her baby steady for fresh air and apply engine oil,but if he urintaes ha na cry oo. But it healed within five days

Cappo, he’ll be fine. Were u told to buy syrup pcm for him? I was told to give him syrup pcm 2.5mls morning, afternoon and evening. My baby rejected it sha. A lot of skin to skin contact and breastfeeding helped us through it. He was fine by the next day. Today is day 3. The doctors told us to wear loose/big diaper for him so it doesn’t rub against the penis AND I was told not to rub anything on it. Just bathe normally and it will drop within a week. My friend’s baby’s own dropped on day 5

I pray my baby own drop soon ooo.. today alone my eye don see whin.. we are putting only engine oil and he has used paracetamol too. He is finally sleeping on my chest and I haven't changed position in like an hour.. I rather take the pain that see him cry all the bitter cry he's been crying since morning

hello.. To help baby wit d circumcision, give him paracetamol every 4hrs to mk him feel better, scoop plenty of vaseline on d site n wear him two or three diapers at s same time to package d circumcision site very well... So dt wen u carry him u wont b rubbing d place... N if u can gt penicillin, put penicillin on d site to prevent infection 4 ever tkin place, den scoop d vaseline on d penicillin... D vaseline wont let d diapers b rubbing on wound.... It tks 5days 4 d place to heal up wit my first ( circumcision was dont wen e was 3weeks old n we use penicillin n brake oil on d site) n 2weeks wit my second son (we did d circumcision late 4 him.. At 3months reason y it healed late). I didnt use penicillin dis time around cs u cnt gt antibiotics without prescription here.... N all went well.

me and his dad tie his leg with loose wrapper separate separate so that he won't touch the wound, cos he will touch his wound with his leg and let out more bitter cry , omo the type of bitter cry he let out ehn, we loose it sharp sharp. Thanks for these tips.. we wore diapers for him and I lay him on my chest and luckily he is now sleeping

Move the two leg at d same time? Also, my baby don't belge easily after takn formula bt he can fart, he might sleep off while eating nd attyms he ll belge afta waking up; if he didn't sleep off, it might take 1hr for him to belge(dunno if it's normal)

@Layormi, has Ur swollen legs come down? Mine has cum down though my normal shoe size never fit in totally bt kinda painful if pressed

watch YouTube videos about the bicycle legwork.. that's what I did.
No be small pressing oo with hot water and massage with Shea butter and rub.. glory to God d leg has gone down but my shoe size don increase too that's jara. Yeah one of it is still painful when pressed.. everything go normal soon teamie

its normal... N d noisemakin in his stomach is gas... My LO poops mkre dan 4times in a day n its totally normal... Newborn can poop more dan 5-10times in a day according to google to not poopin at all in 1-5days.. Let baby poop ooo aunty layormii

I came down with serious malaria yesterday and cough. Add the normal third trimester nausea and vomiting, body pains and weakness and I thought I was going to heaven.

Thanks God I'm feeling better with treatment, but I'm really ready to have this baby.

Part 2
Fast forward to week 39. I was really really tired already, I told my husband I want to go for elective CS on Saturday if baby no come cos ehn the tiredness was something else. Plus chronic back pain and bad headache, swollen painful feet too . He said I should tell my doctor In the next antenatal. I told doctor and doctor said they don't do elective CS on weekends so I said okay o and face my front, praying for baby to come.

I started having painful swollen legs for days. When I complained to the doctor he dismissed it as normal but my mind wasn't at rest, there was something different about it.

Friday night,baby movement reduced, tiredness etc. I tried everything to make him move that night and oga didn't answer.

My husband called his nurse friend and she said we should go to the hospital that night, but it was late, and hospital is far plus you know how general hospital can be. It might be fruitless going that night.

First thing the next morning (Saturday) we went to the hospital, they wrote scan for me to do to check the baby movement, it was a special kind of scan cos we paid 8k for it.

The result said his movement was 5over 8 which isn't good enough.
After checking the result the doctor was said they will have to induce me abi nah induction and cervical ripening me lol cos he needs to come out, he was 40weeks and a day already.

Omo as I hear induction my mind cut ooo, cos I've read scary stuffs about it. Later on she said she called an older colleague and he adviced CS instead. I won't lie I jumped on the offer immediately and she told us to go bring hospital bag. And so the journey began.

Hmmm people of God .
CS is not funny ooo.
The nurse firstly chuk chuk urine stripe inside my VJ three times, like chuking inside, remove it, chuk again , remove, that alone messed up my system. I started shivering.


Was later whilled to theater and let's just give glory to God.
When I heard his first cry I just knew it was all worth it, the body aches, the cries, the sleepless nights, etc, all worth it.
They left me in front of the theater after the operation for like 4hours or more and I was shivering, shivering and begging for help..

Anyway, please mamas trust your intuitions, whenever it tells u there's a danger please do not dismiss it, I complained to the doctor during antenatal about the leg pain and all and he dismissed everything, even the movement and chronicle headache I was having he dismissed them all , said that was part of third tri package and that I had typhoid and wrote drugs for me .

What if we didn't go that Saturday.

I wish all mamas here safe delivery ijn.

Anyways make una beg my baby to suck my bress naaahhh.. chaiii

B.S. Part 1
We got married in 2020 and we agreed to just chill and enjoy eachother for a year before we start trying for a baby or pregnancy.

March 2021 I got pregnant surprisingly lol, but lost it, got preggy in May again and lost it. And so I became scared, hope is not that I have some medical condition. my mother inlaw would call me every first day of the month to ask me 'hafa are you pregnant'. So in my head I was under so much pressure. After sometime my husband had to call her to tell her to stop pressurizing me.

Fast forward to October, I had a lump removal surgery on my both breast (I regret having that operation tho) and immediately after the surgery they told me I was 4 weeks pregnant (cos they took my blood for series of tests).
So I was dealing with healing of two breast lump surgery and first trimester..not easy my people.

I started taking progesterone injection twice a week immediately because of my miscarriage history.
My mother inlaw died that same October, we did t even tell her I was preggy before she died. Still pains me till today . For all the pregnancy, we didn't even try, they just came, my husband was even trying to avoid belle because we said we would rest for one year.

Anyway, first and second trimester went well. I had staphylococcus in second trimester and was treated and that's about the only issue I had throughout my pregnacy. No malaria, nothing nothing. Glory to God

Sorry cappo, hunger and patience are not friends when food is on ground.. Have you tried massaging and pulling out your nipples? Maybe you should also try putting him to the breast when he's not so hungry

someone taught me to pinch out the nips with my hand and put in his mouth while he sucks, did that this morning and there's a level of improvement.. little by little lol

oh God!!! My sister... D frustration is unbelievable... Dis is wat i faced wit my LO too ooo... Til now he didnt suck my breast... Wen i offer him breast e cries frm friatration 4 not getting milk d way e gt it frm bottle n wen i offer bottle. E suck frm it like milk is going on extinct.... So i just stick to pumping n We r still pumping breastmilk ooo n its going to 4months n planning to do dis til e is 1yr by God's grace... I c dt pumping brings out most of d breast nutrients dan baby sucking... D hing n foremilk mixed together... People dont believe my baby is just 14weeks old cs he looks like 6months old baby.... Pumping is not fun i must tell u... But d result i c on my baby is mkin me not regretting him not lashing on breast.... People here told me i shldnt ve offered bottle but syringe to feed him in d first place dt onces baby gt use to smtin, dey dont wanna let go... Welcome to motherhood.

omg someone in my shoe.. the frustration is out of this world, especially having to pump out bress milk for him all the time .

My baby prefer feeding bottle to my nips it's depressing. He got use to it so fast.

Good evening mamas, my 5day old baby still hasn't collected my breast o. Had him through cs and so the nurses already fed him Nan, my breast didn't bring out milk on time so I continue with Nan.
When breast brought out milk nipple no gree commot again, I have a very small nipple.. now he is use to feeding bottle long mouth he doesn't even have patience to lactatte on my nips .. he just start crying when I try to breast feed him and happily rush feeder. . So we had to get bress pumping machine to be pumping milk out for him to drink which isn't the best option to be honest. I am just so frustrated.

I woke up on 28th May, 2022. Went to the toilet to pee and saw whitish discharge I knew immediately that baby was on his/her way cos I wasn't sure of the sex.

I went about doing my house chores. No other sign of labour for days. 2nd June (my next appointment) I told hubby the previous day that I will be going for check up. He was busy I had to go alone. The mid wife checked and told me that baby was in cephalic position and complained of post date, I was sent to see the doctor, I went, vital signs were checked, baby's position was checked and the doctor told me that the baby was not lying well (transverse), I'm overdue, had previous CS can't be induced bla bla bla i was shocked cos i scanned two weeks before then and everything was fine. The doctor then booked me for CS the next day. Where de money?
I went somewhere quiet and cried my eyes out.

I called hubby immediately and he came to the hospital, he met me crying and he was visibly shaking , he asked what the problem was and I couldn't talk I just handed him my folder, no patient to read through i now explained to him. He suggested we meet another doctor, we met him luckily he was with the other doctor, I was scanned and we were told that baby was oblique, big and if my uterus start contracting with the size of the baby I might have a case of ruptured membrane or uterus. They told us that we should thank God I didn't go into Labour before then. Hmmm! Too many complications we had no option
I slept in the hospital against the next day 3rd June, contractions all through the night I was like, see contraction I was hoping for since e no come.

On 3rd June, the doctors had an emergency case after which they prepared me for for theatre. At 8:45am the injection was given. Past 9am I was told baby was out crying his lines out. I was discharged 1week after cos it's a general anesthesia.

I was hoping for Vbirth but I thank God I didn't go into labour before the CS

Hubby is overjoyed God don give am boy. Men and baby �
