4th trimester is not funny at all...me too I started with palm kernel oil, till few days ago I started using Chicco cream for him.. this 4th trimester is a rollercoaster of events..

I was telling a friend, your baby is six months now atleast 4th trimester wahala go don reduce for u, and she was like every month has its own oo, her baby is in teething phase now and it's not funny. Lol

The comment about forth trimester is "it is well". I almost fell down because sleep no grew me wen I back him day b4 yesterday.
On the cream matter, am using Jimpo Ori o bt my son nw has rashes on his neck; dunno if na heat dey cause am or it's sumtin else because grandma ll kip saying don't on fan on him, he's nt feeling hot and I jt av to accept it

those small small rashes bah.. it's heat ooo. Even tho weather is cold now with the rain and all .. in d afternoon when weather is better try wear something light for him , trust me they sweat too and all those cover cover we do for Dem is always much lol , continue d Ori , it will clear.

Went for prenatal and saw this small baby gurl with ela all over her body.. kaii.. the mum said shes using a particular baby oil and cream for her.. told her to stop using it when she asked for what I was using for my son.
Please if you love your baby skin, just ignore all these baby oil and co , atleast for the first month and use original Ori as cream or original blue seal Vaseline.
I bought those baby oil too but grandma didn't let me use it, said original Ori (that she brought from the village) is better. Glad I accepted cos my baby skin is glowing, no ela no rashes , skin glowing. I haven't rub him any powder too. Bathing soap is agnesia baby soap. I feel like that's d only thing I've gotten right in this motherhood journey, e no easy

Mama kokaiye was always shouting use Ori or coconut oil.. I been think say nah play.

I gave birth to my princess on the 3rd of June through an emergency CS... EDD from LMP was supposed to be 13th July

Everything about my pregnancy was going so well for me (no morning sickness, no vomiting, no spitting and so on). I was just feeling like a baby girl till around 31 weeks or thereabout when I had that pain above my stomach that couldn't allow me sleep... It subsided and came back after about 2 weeks, it was so severe I rushed to a health center close to me to complain and after some tests they said it was ulcer... They also said I had malaria and typhoid... I was given antibiotics injections and drugs with malaria injections and some prenatals... The pain went but I noticed that I became so weak with serious pain on my lap and calf when I try to get up or sit.
I went for my antenatal and when they checked my vitals they noticed I had developed high blood pressure with protein in my urine... I was given drugs for it and asked to come the next week to check again.. When I returned the next week it was still there and that was how I was referred to a general hospital to go and get the baby out immediately... They said it was a sign of preeclampsia which was a big risk for mother and child...
Mehn... My heart cut... I was like how?.. Is that how they use to just go and get baby out?... That was how me and my husband went to another hospital to go and get another opinion...
We got there and gave the referral letter and explained... The doctor said that the hospital was actually right.. He said they'll perform their own test and if it comes out same, they'll have to get the baby out to save our lives... I was admitted that day and they carried out a scan and some tests including liver function and kidney.. I was asking myself what I was doing there because I had no symptom of anything.. I felt very fine and strong... Results were out the next day.. No damage to kidneys and liver but I still had high blood pressure and protein in the urine, infact it increased sef...
Everything just started happening so fast..
The next thing I knew, they were screaming that they had to carry out the delivery immediately, they were like "this baby should have been out since yesterday".. That was how they gave us drugs to go and buy and bills to pay for the delivery and other things... They gave me injections and drugs.. There was one particular injection that was so painful, I cried as they were injecting me (till now those spots in my bum is still swollen and painful when pressed)..... That was how I saw myself being wheeled to the theatre o (in my mind I was like wetin dey happen sef, for crying out loud I'm very fine).. The operation was carried out and my baby came out weighing 1.3kg at 34weeks (that was too small for her gestational age, I guess the BP restricted her growth). She was taken to the NICU and placed in the incubator with oxygen and stuff... She stayed in the NICU for 2 weeks and some days.. The whole delivery process and aftermath was painful and traumatic for me..
Throughout her stay in the NICU, I went to the hospital everyday to spend some hours and give them my expressed breast milk to feed her. They didn't allow me touch her till after about a week when they said I had to start doing KMC with her.. She was so tiny I was even scared of holding her so I won't hurt her.. She finally came home last week weighing 1.4kg. She's very strong and healthy, the only thing is just for her to add weight.. I pray she adds more rapidly than expected.

Errmm... Remember the scan I did said it was a male.. Well.. it was wrong, the baby turned out to be a beautiful girl..

Meanwhile I was planning to resign from my work place by the end of July when I'll commence my maternity leave following the advice of some mamas here to take off from 36weeks. Now the funny thing that happened yesterday 29/6/2022 was that I received a promotion letter o with almost double of my current salary with effect from this July that's starting tomorrow. (Promotion I've been expecting since 2019 before I got married sef and it refused to come).
Right now, ayam confused o. Don't know if to accept the new position and enjoy increased pay or to re-unite with my husband from the maternity leave and enjoy my young family. The matter tire me. I have till 1st July to accept or decline the new position.

Before arriving at a conclusion think of these points:
Have you saved enough money for yourself? Like personally do you have any money to fall back on ? Atleast if e bad too much u can start a small biz with it.

Is hubby staying in a place where getting work is easy? I mean the town he is living. Eg if you're moving from lag to lokoja, u know getting job there go hard small.

Is it possible to accept the offer and then go for your 3months leave at the end of July, so u use that opportunity to think we'll and weigh your options? If it's possible then I think to should try it

I was banned for my post here since yesterday... I no know d bad thing wey I post o.
So I called a nurse friend on video call to show her the surgery site and she said it's not that bad like I explained.. hmm she said I shouldn't put plaster again and just be cleaning with spirit as often as I can, and use my drugs just like y'all suggested.

Been doing that since morning, tho hubby said I must Sha go to hospital tomorrow to see a doctor

The plaster was removed on the 5th day and the stitches on the 7th day. The cite is sealed up and looking like an old wound already

People that fix occasions in June dey try oo like wedding etc
The way rain fell on my baby naming ehn.. from morning till evening. We fix canopy inside rain, do photo booth inside rain, in short, wait ooo till like 4 before program start and rain no stop. That was how we did it oo.. inside rain laidat lol. Everybody was wet except baby that was sleeping peacefully lol.

Just imagine people getting married that day chaii or burial or anything.

Yes doc said it was to clear my rectum.and I was to take moderately and stop today but keep him updated. I was even constipated,now I dey toilet freely. He said if the tightness am feeling becomes intense fine BT if not we wait for it. BT av stopped the castor oil

the tightness you're feeling is Braxton Hicks nah. I was feeling it weeks before I delivered sef.. I no think say e mean anything laidat

I gave my baby paracetamol after the circumcision and he didn't cry much. On the penis area, be applying coconut oil or olive oil till d ring fell off(was advised not to use engine oil at d hospital and I strictly didn't answer MIL wen she was saying she'll use it). I do apply pennicilin afta it fell off so dat it can heal fast.

The ring fell off within a week

Teamie I don't care atall o, ayam not looking at anybody's eye fa. My baby can suck more dan 1hr and ll still be crying so I have to introduce formula, I never get enough strength myself because I had malaria nd oda sickness after discharge wich makes me nt to eat well and pikin still dey suck me wella. We r on d 2nd container of Aptamil 800g plus serious sucking o so who cares about anybody eye.

I plan on doing exclusive for 3months b4 bt as plan change, I follow suit my dear. My baby started 125ml feeding bottle on d 5th day of delivery

3months exclusive was the plan oloun ngbo! But plans changed too. At first at the hospital when I gave birth to him, and then yesterday after his circumcision I pump bress milk so tey everything dry and he was crying nonstop.. we didn't have option again.
Every malam with hn kettle, we all do what's best for our child, I hope everyone can mind their business, go for immunization or anywhere where there are plenty mamas like you and they all look at me with side eyes when they see me giving my baby feeder..
Some even walk up to me and say madam give this baby bress nah haba.. I just give them this ugly look

Sorry about this mama. This was the exact thing that happened to me. I had my baby boy through cs in April and wasn't able to breastfeed him immediately. I tried from the 3rd or 4th day and he refused sucking directly from my breast. This gave me lots of concern. Tho I pumped using an electric breastpump but the milk was flowing sooo much, but was able to bottle feed him with whatever quantity I goy and complement with NAN 1. This went on for about 2weeks, I was still also try to breastfeed him, but once he doesn't feel the flow he feels with the bottle, he got angry and removes his mouth and cries uncontrollably. I kept on till one time during the second week, I tried again and he sucked for about 2/3minutes for the first time......I kept trying till he started sucking well, the pain on my nipple wasn't funny but he helped me bring out my nipple and my milk started flowing well. My boy is almost 11weeks now and he doesn't even want the bottle anymore, he prefers my breast to bottle.
So just take your time and keep trying while you still feed him with the bottle

my dear mama I am going through everything you just typed.. like exactly.
I am still trying ooo though he isn't interested atall in the bress but I still force it in his mouth, lol sometimes he will just clip his lip on it but he won't suck.. he eats alot so I'm pumping almost through out the day. I just hope that mine also later change and start loving it like yours... Cos I miss the joy of seeing my baby feed from me now that his penis is sour sheybi that's suppose to be his comfort, but no, feeder is his comfort.
