Technology Market / Is Flutterwave The Best Online Payment Solution For An African E-business? by leahcimzil: 10:45pm On Sep 29, 2019
More businesses are hosted on the internet now more than ever before. The advantages of this for business owners is limitless, there are 4 billion people in the world with access to the internet, that is 4 billion potential customers for business owners. Of course, it's not as simple as it sounds but that's topic for another day.

Nowadays, more business transactions are conducted online than they are offline. With the globalization and advent of this business digitalization age, there seems to be a demand for a safe, reliable, convenient and more importantly global online payment solution for businesses hosted on Al Gore's internet.

If you're reading this article, you are probably looking to integrate a payment solution to your online business, maybe an e-commerce website or just a service offering business with an online presence or you are confused on which payment gateway to make use of for your business among the several available ones in Nigeria. Well, be confused no more. In this article, I am going to try to outline why Flutterwave stands apart from all the several online payment platforms for Nigerian or African businesses and why you should be using Flutterwave.

What exactly is Flutterwave?

Flutterwave is an online payment solution company that seeks to make it easier for e-businesses to process payments across the internet. Flutterwave has integrated banking solutions and payment providers onto their platforms, making it easy for your international and local customers to receive and send payment for a service or product directly from their banks, credit and debit cards in their preferred currency.
Flutterwave is revolutionalizing the narrative of online payments in Africa by making payment processing available and easily accessible for Africa and all merchants regardless of location. By integrating with Flutterwave's API, users integrate with all the different payment systems and platforms, making them available for use by their customers.

Why Flutterwave?

The major problem most African e-businesses have is the tediousness of receiving payments for their services or products from customers outside of their country. Most of the payment gateways made available on e-commerce websites are not Africa or Nigeria friendly. While Flutterwave is not exactly breaking new grounds in their quest to provide payment solutions for businesses online, they aim to make the integration of their solution into an e-business accessible to all businesses online and as simple and hassle-free as can be.

Before Flutterwave, several online payment platforms charged business owners huge sums of money to set up a payment solution for their business and required a monthly installment fee to keep their solution running. In their quest to make payment processing as easy and affordable as possible for business owners, Flutterwave has made setting up on their online payment platform and integrating their payment gateway into your business free, with no additional monthly operational costs or charges. With Flutterwave, you're only charged a small fee per transaction you accept.

African businesses have been relatively slow in adopting online payment solutions because of a predominant mistrust culture when it comes to finances, this is why many businesses still prefer bank transfers and onsite depositing of cash. Flutterwave understands that that mistrust is not going to disappear overnight but they have also put several security measures to ensure and reassure users of the safety of their finances. One of which is a fraud detection system which Flutterwave has put in place to check every transaction you conduct to ensure you're covered and protected from fraudulent activities.

Who is trusting Flutterwave with their finances?

It's important to note that Flutterwave is not just asking you to trust them without any track record of doing business with other brands. There are a couple of Top Brands who are making use of the Flutterwave Integration software to receive payments for their businesses. Some of these brands include:
Uber, Flywire, Arik, Jumia, Booking.com
These are top brands making millions of dollars yearly trusting Flutterwave to handle their financial transactions on their behalf.

What Flutterwave offers

Flutterwave recently announced a partnership between Chinese e-commerce giant: Alibaba and Rave, one of Flutterwave's product. The partnership was to integrate Alipay, the payment gateway for Alibaba on Rave, giving them access to the 30,000 plus Africans already using Rave by Flutterwave.
Flutterwave is known for two similar but operationally different products:

Rave

This article has mostly been about the capabilities of Rave by Flutterwave. Rave by Flutterwave is an Integrated global payments platform that assists users in making and receiving payments across the internet regardless of customer location. All business owners regardless of the kind of business can make use of Rave. From a shoe selling merchant on a global e-commerce website like Shopify to an app developer in Lagos looking to monetize operations. Rave makes it possible to receive payments straight into your bank account or credit card at little cost and no stress. Find out more about Rave by Flutterwave http://rave.flutterwave.com

You can sign up for Rave and have fun integrating it into your business

Barter

Barter is an online payments platform that also helps with management of finances including scheduling and making payments but that is not all.
For a typical human, in Nigeria, or Africa or anywhere in the world, monthly bills are a recurring necessity of a new month. Bills ranging from your cable subscriptions to house rent to fuel for the generator to even the littlest things such as buying airtime. With Barter, you can schedule such payments to be paid monthly without having to regularly bother about paying them or forgetting to pay them.

Barter is a one-stop destination for all financial transactions. With Barter, you can make inter financial institution transfer of funds to any bank or financial institution of your choosing.
Barter's peer to peer payment means you can quickly make payments to friends using Barter who are close by. As if that is not enough, Barter users have access to an easily repayable short loan, right from the Barter app.

The Barter mobile app can be found on Google Play Store for Android devices and IOS App Store for Apple devices.

So what now?

In conclusion, there are many online payment platforms out there and even more payment integration solutions but Flutterwave is focused on making usage and setup simple, affordable and easily accessible by even the least literate trader or business merchant while providing payment solutions to bridge the payment gap existing across Africa and subsequently the world and this is what makes them stand out from the rest. They have made significant strides in their objectives as Flutterwave is now in use in over 40 African countries including the US. With the adoption of Rave by Alibaba, one can say full usage in China is not very far away.

Niseed, you've spoken very well.

However, Siena should have thought of his children BEFORE getting carried away with me. And who says he's a hero to them? With the way he has maltreated their mother? Someone who will lose custody of the kids, seeing as they spend more time with his wife. Someone who spent most of his time chatting with me, while he ignored his crying kids. I had to tell him to call me back so he could attend to them. This is someone who told me his wife tied her tubes after giving birth to their last child. That is a hero? undecided

When it comes to cars, he knows his onions. He's good at what he does, though he exaggerates sometimes. He claimed he's the only one that does engine modifications, and Audi doesn't because, in Siena Gbudje's words, They don't know how. Audi can't do engine modifications, yet they make cars?? undecided Make Siena fear God small na. cheesy cheesy

However, he renders help to people when needed. That's awesome. But having known him, that is the ONLY good trait he has. This is someone whose blood brothers are treating him like a pariah. They've kept him at arm's length. Even after he had his 3 kids, none of them bothered to call him. My brother, leave matter.

I understand where you're coming from. I've let the issue go. Let him sort himself out with his family. I wish him good luck. He's gonna need it.

I think you should let this ish go...you done damaged the man's reputation enough undecided

Lol, I'm not a guy jor! I just love cars, and sports.

Talking about Nico's retirement... I wouldn't call it cowardice. Let's take a look at this season. Nico worked extra hard. Lewis picked up a bit late. But I think we (Nico inclusive) all know that Lewis wouldn't sit back next year, and let Nico take the Cup for a second time in a row. If he hadn't retired, this would've still been his LAST victory.

For years now, it's been Lewis Hamilton, 1st, Nico Rosberg 2nd. I think he got tired of it all. Wouldn't you?

Plus, Nico just had a baby. It's best he focuses on his family. At least, in his lifetime, he can say he's a Formula One champion.

My opinion though.

Well yu got a point! Kinda reminds me of James Hunt...Lol but we all know Nico ran away while the ovation's loudest! Lewis should have won anyway...had a couple crashes. And i really like wat he did in UAE lol...frustrated Nico...Man's a living legend lol

We should hookup wen the next season starts...so we can bant F1. Follow back?

Kendrick is a genius.
He doesn't just rap, he does conscious hip hop.
Listen to his lyrical content and you will know he his way above board.
He is an activist, its solely not about the beats, billboards and platinums
He belongs to skool of tots of the likes of Pac, Nas, Common, Public Enemies, Tallib, L Boogie (Lauryn Hill) and so on.
But Jcole doesn't...i'm getting yu bruh

Lols if I didn't know all u typed then I ain't a hip-hop head na.

Like I said he wasn't original on this record, hence it fell short once again of being a classic.

I'd bump sing about me/ dying of thirst anyday anytime

The art of peer pressure? Keisha's song?? Et al

Also cole's stories are cool sha, but this 'very conscious' album wasn't deep enough (imo)

Deja vu, got me excited with the intro, but as his verses started rolling in, began to bore a little.

That's always been the general problem with cole, his style of rap gets boring, not the type u "auto-repeat" a full day.

But like I said this album was disappointing...but hey its the direction he decided to take, that's why art is personal.

I think he was most original on this album tho. I guess yu just wanted more bars and bass.

Huh? Yet kendrick was fùcking happy to win dem grammy's?

Ya'll say whatever makes u happy, but err1 knows grammy's is the highest award a rapper can aspire to.

And yea, it's hip hop tradition for rappers to feature eachother, especially when you tight friends.

So someone explain why that's not happened yet? Props to Big Sean he jumped in the booth with kendrick n drake so far (tho it exposed his flaws, but that's rap)

Cole scared to be 'compared' bar-4-bar on a song.

2014's theme wasn't bad, but this 4euo? It's a lazy album!

If you're gonna drop just 10tracks in a full LP each of em gotta Carry weight.

Fold clothes was basically cole tryna use jazz/funk beats...another aim to copy the direction went with TPAB

I'm venting cos that piece of shit was 98mb

Lol. I shall now take it upon myself to make yu see the light
Cole's a storyteller and the whole album's a short story.
Tells the story of a black american man that pushes drugs, gangbangs, goes to jail and is mostlikely gonna die before he's 30 just like the usual Black American(For whom the bell tolls, immortal, ville mentality) then he goes on and meets a gir(Deja vu) and falls in love(she's mine1). Now he's willing to change(Change) and do 'non manly' things for her, like fold clothes, drink almond milk and just generally be the better man for her(Foldin clothes). Then he gives birth to a daughter(She's mine2) and he's absolutely overwhelmed that he's a father, he just can't blive it...he falls in love with his daughter. But he dies. The last track is sorta a post humous track, cos he already dead, so he's tryna explain the change in mentallity he had before he died to his now grown daughter and basically how life was in the hood. Like explaining how he wasn't a real nigga because he gangbangd or move drugs, but because he loved her!

Album is fooking Genius bruh. I am impressed!. Don't shuffle! Listen Objectively
