steamzy: U aint tell us d O.S on ur system?? dats need 4 precise diagnose & has d modem bn wrkn b4 & suddenly stopd??Thanks for ur reply. The O.S is Window 7 starter. It's a new modem and it has never worked before though I tried Etisalat ZTE modem on it and it worked. Window update couldn't install the driver either. |
Evening, good people of Nairaland. @Femi4, I've a problem using an mtn fastlink modem I just bought on my HP mini 2102. The modem interface opens but the modem won't recognize any sim card, not even the primary sim card (this isn't an unlocking issue as I am not after that yet) I found out that there are some drivers missing from my system, and all my efforts to install these drivers proved abortive. I downloaded Driver.4.25.10.00 but I couldn't extract it to its appropriate folder... perhaps I didn't do some things right. I'll appreciate your sincere response(s) to get this problem resolved. It is a Huawei modem E303s-1. Btw, the modem works properly when I installed it on a friend's laptop. |

ciphoenix: must be your locationIs the same location someone else is pulling data at moderate bandwidth anywayz, I'll consider change of location. |
ciphoenix: for some reason i was cut off after about 80GB or soWell, mine has never stopped for once even after I had pulled over 40gb on my subscription that expired this evening... but surprisingly, MTN has been able to reduce my bandwidth from a manageable 200kb/s to an alarming 15kb/s. Even with my new subscription, their connection is still as slow as snail... which makes me wonder how u guys are still able to pull heavy data. My settings remain intact though. |
dljbd: At the moment, 49GB and counting ciphoenix: i can say there's no fair usage. i've used 38GB from may 5th till date. no 2h subscription done.If u guys still pull data as u claim, I wonder what has happened to my own connection... poor doesn't describe it. Well, I hope when my bis expires tomorrow and I re-subscribe, I get a better and faster connection. |
Alexanda07: So far, as far as the MTN BIS is concerned, whether Unlimited or Not, that's not the question. Let us share how many GB's we have used so far.I must av exhausted nothing less than 40Gb since I activated it a month ago. But Mtn network has held me back from pulling my usual torrents... with their crappy network of late. @ the bold, how is this possible? If this was a week ago, I wouldn't av doubted you. My settings remain intact, yet MTN 3G won't even connect as it used to. |
@Blackberry just released the big news. What are your views?
|
Now, this I called a misplaced priority. ![]() |
Mtn has been horrible since last nyt,nt even connecting, with or without credit,is anyone having d same problem..?
Their 3G has been unstable for some days now. EDGE seems pretty fine though. |
With all the billions he spent, good riddance! |
In the days of old, engagement list items were fairly static, but perhaps differing in quantity and maybe quality. You would see the usual tubers of yam, palm oil, bible and suitcases full of fabric. Well, the modern Nigerian bride is not being bound by tradition. You can peruse the engagement list of a yuppy bride of 2013 and not surprisingly find the tubers of yam and the bible. But you may just do a double take when you come across “a white iPad mini” Here are some of the items I have either seen on a list or heard about:- Samsung S3 Phone Louis Vuitton Bag Louboutin Pigalle Shoes Guiseppe Zanotti Sandals It may seem somewhat mercenary or a shift away from tradition but I completely understand what these savvy young ladies are thinking. If, her husband to be and his family must buy gifts for her, it may as well be something she wants and/or will actually use. What will she actually do with suitcases upon suitcase filled with lace or Ankara (which probably won’t be to her taste)? Why not get that gadget or handbag she’s been lusting after for months. I believe this is the thought process of the modern Nigerian bride when it comes to her engagement gift list. I know I’ll certainly be doing the same when the time comes.
Not workn!!!

nope.
Copy d link of the video and then replace "www." with "ss" ... say the video link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFDu6ACKLKo, remove d "www." and replace with "ss" ... so it appears thus http://ssyoutube.com/watch?v=kFDu6ACKLKo and send. Select d video format and quality of ur choice and save. NB: FLV file formats wont display on ur BBs, so ur best bet is MP4 (360p), preferably. Just a lil modification from what d OP posted. Enjoy. |
I tried it and it worked just fine. Thanks for sharing. I still won't mind if u send me d full version. Thanks nonetheless. |
.. |
aadetoyin: Ur technique works well because I just tried it but it seems it doesn't work on large youtube files and it doesn't work on other websites like ibakatv.comI don't know about Ibakatv... but for d heavy files, sure u can download them with PC. Not sure though, but you should be able to download files of 100mb and below with your blackberry. |
So how did you finally did the subscription, i have used the two methods i know. I need internet badly in order to update my blog
Dial *141*1# and follow prompts. |
LecturerIFE: I prefer "ss" method, it works just fine. This is how it works: search for d video of ur choice from Youtube. Click on d video from d searched results. Replace "www." or "m." (If u r on mobile) that precede d video link with "ss" and send. Select d video format and quality and save. Example: if the video link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=US&hl=en-GB&client=mv-google&v=m-R-WxRNQQ8, remove d "www." and replace with "ss." so it looks thus http://ssyoutube.com/watch?gl=US&hl=en-GB&client=mv-google&v=m-R-WxRNQQ8 and send. |
gregg2: President of the Oodua People’s Congress, Dr. Frederick Fasehun, has alleged moves by the Action Congress of Nigeria leaders to heat up the South-West.Lies!

NB: MP4 360p displays well on all blackberry OS, MP4 720p displays on blackberry 7.0 and higher. FLV formats only display on PC. You can either use your default browser or Opera, but the Opera must be set to desktop view for it to work. It works perfectly well on PC too. |
Ministry is booming. |
Airtel is more than reliable where I am. The so called MTN ministry isn't stable, ministry keeps changing every time.
oh so ur part of the guyz using airtel stuff,i been get sha oh! Bt the performace of airtel is as low as 10% in my area even if u dey untop pole sef..thats why i wan join d mtn ministry so dat we can move it to a permanent site!
|
Guy, never been a fan of MTN o... what Airtel offers is what I'm after.
boss u no wan teach us the parables.atleast jesus teach his disciples for free!
|
When there is unlimited data, one can choose to download a movie of 5gb o... all na choice. Btw, those frendz4m movies can be so blurry that one might not really enjoy d movie. I peg my torrent movies at 1.7gb, anything above that is a no-no.
see dis one! U downloaded a torrent file of 5gb just a movie,d same movie u can get on mp4 for just 400mb, its even on d fone sef,i wont be suprised if mtn detects dis loophole and block, becos ppl waste un-neccesary data just for crappy reasons, what do u want to see in 1gb+ movie..shey na the actor pimples or make-up malfunction:smh
|
Guys been talking in parables... lol |
anywayz, I'll consider change of location.
