Eraytee: they should go back and re-marry again at a registry different from the initial marriage, that would give them a new certificate.... its allowed to marry same person as many times as possible (NB: I have two marriage certificates with same spouse). na your money kill am. my opinion. The subsequent marriage does not invalidate the first marriage, does it? So the status remains that they are legally married from the first marriage. else if IRCC get to know he was married before landing and never informed them, his PR status would be revoked. CC @Queenwoman Simple. That's the consequence of the misrepresentation. I do suspect the husband did it out of ignorance. |

I assume that your marriage was held after his first landing in Canada, right?
In response to your question, we got married 4months before his first landing in canada That's misrepresentation. He was meant to inform IRRC of the change in his family composition the moment you guys got married. Thinking of how best to go about your application... In the meantime, if you received ITA yesterday, I would advise you reject it. You need to address this issue before proceeding with your application. Nairaland is a public forum so people on here are wary of how and what they advise you. |

Queenwoman: Hello all,
I would be glad to have your advice regarding my questions below:
My husband got his PR last year before we got married, although he is still working in Nigeria but travelled only once this year to canada. I assume that your marriage was held after his first landing in Canada, right? I applied for express entry and i'm expecting to receive my ITA in the coming draw, 472. I hope it's not an offense for me to have applied for express entry as my husband is obviously not accompanying me since he already has his PR? My worry is that i do not want to be rejected on the basis that he should have filed a spousal sponsorship for me which i think might be impossible since he is not fully based in canada for now. No offense as spousal sponsorship isn't mandatory. Like you rightly mentioned, you will be applying as spouse unaccompanying. Because he's a PR, you need to submit an loe explaining same with his PR card attached. With this, you won't be required to provide medicals and PCC for him. Click here for timelines of people who have done same and got PPR. Secondly, My husband is gifting me about 100% of my proof of fund, which has already been transferred to me. We got a lawyer to have the gift deed notarized. However, my worry is that the lawyer requested that my husband's residential address must be specified in the gift deed document. My question is, should he put his Nigerian address (which is where he currently stays due to work) or indicate his canadian address (A relative's place where he stays whenever he lands in canada)?
Thank you as i look forward to your kind response. The address you put makes little or no difference. You could put his Nigerian address since he resides there currently. Congratulations on your ITA. Godspeed. |

SonsOfLiverpool: Transcripts cost 55,000. Certificates cost about 40k
Carry egunje money if you don’t want to waste your time. No time. Are these for two transcripts and two certificates (ND and HND)? |

Eraytee: contact IQAS about it, you will send in your new diploma transcripts and it would be re-evaluated as 2 or more certificate, i will advice you to go for WES if you have cash, its faster than IQAS. you will send both degrees to them and your evaluation would come out as above, only the timeline in processing your doc is the difference between both organizations. Not necessary. Since he has an ECA from IQAS for his degree, he should evaluate just the diploma with WES. He's able to claim two or more certificates with this. We are allowed to combine ECAs from different bodies provided the ECAs aren't for the same degree. Cc Teecol |

glitchyyy: Dear all ,
Please help my case .
I am post AOR but just got married . I would like to add my spouse as non-accompanying to my application . I understand that it requires my to increase my POF to funds for a family of 2 but i didn't envisage that I would also be required to pay RPRF and processing fees since my husband does not require the PR . He is an American citizen. I have read most of the adding spouse threads but no case seems close to mine. Does anyone have any advice or opinion on how to go from here? Please assist . Raise a CSE to inform IRCC of the change in your marital status. You will get a request letter asking you to complete a set of forms. Your spouse will be subsequently added to your application. You are right that you won't be required to pay RPRF and processing fee since he doesn't intend to obtain PR. However, he will be required to provide medicals and PCC even though he's unaccompanying. Updated POF depends on the visa office; some ask for it, some don't. To avoid any delay, you should provide it upfront when submitting the ADRs in the request letter. Please note that your spouse will undergo same checks (criminality, medical and security) as would any secondary applicant. This may extend the timeline to complete your application (emphasis on may). I have attached screenshots of a request letter received by someone I know. You should expect something similar to the letter. I wish you good luck.

dewale1234: Hello house Is the CIMA obtained with ICAN okay for express entry? Like Subalinga mentioned, it all depends on the outcome of the evaluation. Since it's only WES that evaluates professional certificates, you should evaluate the certificate with WES. |

Are you able to install the app from Playstore? If no, sideload the app from Google (I attached a screenshot, you can download it from APKPure) and run it with a VPN.

cardinal1: Happy sunday pals. I am March 15 aor and is 7months + post AOR. I raise webform with respect to my application and it says " Decision made, the decision will be communicated to you through mail/email". This reply was 21st of October and am still yet to get any email. My question is 2 ways. Does anyone know how long one has to wait before a mail with respect to this and the outcome?; First of all, congratulations. @bold, not sure anyone here can. From what I have read on canadavisa, it could take hours, days or weeks. In my case, decision (approval) to email took 3 days (as per my GCMS note post PPR). File was approved on a Friday while I got the email on a Monday. Raise another cse and narrate that the response to your previous cse indicates that a decision has been made on your application but you are yet to receive an email to that effect. Secondly I wish to call CIC tomorrow but both the text now and google hangouts dialer are not available in Nigeria for download. I need input from someone who has succeeded in calling from Nigeria on how to go about the calling? I use Textnow app without issues. Do you use an android phone? If yes, check the picture attached and search for the app on Playstore. Set it up and you are good to go. Call CIC on +18882422100 using the app. In case the app doesn't work (it happens sometimes), install a VPN from Playstore (VPNhub comes handy and it's free to use) and run Textnow.

Bogini: Anyone here gotten COPR recently? Mind sharing what the current average time to get a confirmation is? If you submitted your passport at VFS Lagos, expect COPR in 3 weeks. Meanwhile, back on the application portal, nothing has changed. Everything still remains as it had been. Maybe these will change after COPR, I'm guessing. That's correct. |

Does it matter where I get biometrics done ? I live in Lagos but I’m presently in Abuja for work. No, it does not. Can I have it done in ABUJA AND ALSO DO I NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT? As I can’t sign in or create an account
Thanks You can do it in Abuja. If you are going for the biometrics before November 2nd, you don't need an appointment. |

DexterousOne: So you have the five year post qualification experience?
I should be calling you aunty o
I also want to go as far as I can in this cima thing tho Let's see how it goes If your first degree is either in Accounting or Finance with at least a CGPA of 3.5, you may qualify to write Strategic case study exam and obtain CIMA. The pathway is called CIMA A-Star Programme (slightly cheaper than the CIMA/ICAN Pathway). Not sure it requires having 5 years work experience (I'll confirm this on Monday). |

joo2018: Hiya,
If someone has not stepped up by 700 pages, I might open another thread, but the Hall of Fame will definitely suffer.
The issue goes back to what has been said before, and I guess will keep being said, the thread does not need to move fast.
Most issues have already been addressed before in one form or another, either in this thread or an earlier one. But few people are willing to read, to do a basic search.
It is alright, anyway. May God continue to bless the selfless contributors. May you find help in your own time of need. I can't imagine an EE thread without Hall of Fame (I know how much I gained from reading people's PPR stories), so yeah, when the time comes, I can update the Hall of Fame for Part 9. |

chibabe25: WES initially updated my profile with accepted and then changed it to verification required and I’m confused That's the norm. OAU now charges for transcript verification. Last time I asked, it's N2500 for undergraduate and N5000 for postgraduate. You can use ETX for your verification or reach out to anyone in the school. |
