Unfortunately, I can only help if you have strong IT knowledge like Cloud Infrastructure Management or Security Architecture

You really carry my matter for head and it is obvious you're in severe pain. I'll give you some hints though. A DevOps eng in US can earn as high as $15,000 monthly and some work 2 to 3 jobs remotely. Won't that amount to $45k monthly? I know some guys that even do up to 5 jobs at the same time. Just like I stated in my post earlier, change your mindset!

Mental patient is fantasising. Nigeria don finish am, e think say im don japa while being tied up in Aro and forfe-fed drugs.
That's y you're poor-because of your mentality. You believe no one can make that much monthly. Sometimes, I consider myself lazy because my younger bro makes more money than me, even though I work very hard. I never settle for less, I consistently try to make more by improving myself. You should embibe such philosophy if you want to make it in life.CHANGE YOUR MINDSET SO AS NOT TO GET STUCK IN POVERTY!

It's not your fault at all, na Nairaland and insomnia give you the opportunity to talk thrash to me. You won't be able to utter a word if you see me in person and that's if you can even come close. That piggy bank image was spare change I put together within 2 wks after I bought a $110,000 car, paid cash and was temporarily broke. So when you throw insults here, look well cos I'm not on your level. I pay one of my workers about N4m monthly, he'll feed your generation.

TravelRe: Advice: Learning A Skilled Work Before Moving To US For Msc. by Leebeedo(m): 12:54pm On Jan 10, 2024
Nairalandforme:
Please,I dont know if this is the right section to post this; your advice is really needed from our guys who stays in the US.

I am considering learning a skill before going for an MSc in the US in 6-months time. I would like to go for Truck driving because my dad drives one and I know he will expose and teach me well, faster and with all his heart. He has been on it right since my birth (over 30 years) here in Naija, He has drove for many companies including don.gote, tetr.alog, and the likes. I learnt it is not easy to get a job that can sponsor a work visa to remain in the US after ones study, so if I learn this from him, maybe I could and get certified, I can get a company that can sponsor a work visa easily why eyeing my dream job. I need an advice on this if it will worth it huh.

Pls, I need a sincere advice from our brothers over there.
Mod pls help me move this to front page Abeggg!!!
I don't think you can get work visa sponsorship with truck driving. What area is your MSc?

Nigerians rarely depend on their monthly pay alone. That is the point you guys fail to understand.
You will be surprised how well your contemporaries back home are faring.
Again, stop thinking in Naira.
Na me dey feed some of them, infact most of that N1m goes to them. Imagine a senior lecturer asking you money to buy indomie for his kids. I'm not saying everyone should japa, but if you have the opportunity to and have a feasible plan, please JAPA!
PoliticsRe: Spending millions on UK students visa is it worth it by Leebeedo(m): 3:18pm On Jan 09, 2024
Donaldoni:
You are in America. Stop thinking in Naira to excite yourself. Based on US standard, NGN1m is chicken change

You have your own life to live. Your children will live theirs. That excuse is for leaving for abroad is BS.

Had you stayed back in Nigeria, you may have been doing better.
True, N1m is nothing in US but the difference is obviously clear. The highest I would have been if I stayed back in nigeria would have been a Senior Lecturer and their current pay is N200k-N250k. I decided to cap my naija spending to N1m monthly, I can do N20m if I choose to.

Offpoint!!!

A dishwasher is a dishwasher

How can a graduate be a dishwasherhuh
He won't be a dishwasher for life. When I moved to the US, I started as a warehouse cleaner, withing 6 months, I enlisted in the army and now, I work from home (IT).
I was fairly comfortable in nigeria before leaving but decided to leave just to give my children better opportunity in life. If I had stayed back in nigeria, my pay would have been around 200k/month now. But trust me, I spend over N1m on giveaways monthly which wouldn't have been possible if I had decided to stay in nigeria.
Foreign AffairsRe: Argentina's President Flies Commercial To Cut Government Spending (Video) by Leebeedo(m):
Ikaeniyan0:
Nigeria economy is far better than that of Argentina. So Tinubu and Shettima should keep on flying in private jets.
Argentina: GDP 500b USD, Population: 50m
Nigeria: GDP 440b USD, Population: 250m

The fact that Argentines reacts to bad governance than the timid and tribalistic Nigerian populace does not imply the Nigerian economy is better than Argentines'.
