Mariangeles:Tofu, what tribe?? |
AgbenuAnna:You're welcome |
sunbestie:Awara. The English name should be soya beans cake (I don't know o. My own name). |
DIYlady01:Thanks dear |
AgbenuAnna:Awara dipped in egg is bae Ingredients: Soya beans Oil Pepper Onion Maggi Salt Tomatoes (optional). Preparation.,..... Soak your soya beans in water (till it's soft), wash dirt's away and grind. After grinding, filter it using chiffon like sieve(pap making type) and remove the chaff. Once chaff is out, pour the soya water into a pot and boil. As it boils, you'll see white foam like substance coming up, use a cup to take it out and put inside the sieve (use the chiffon like sieve that is used for pap making). Keep removing the foam like substance into the sieve till nothing is left except the boiling water(soya) inside the pot. Tie the sieve very tight to remove any water remaining inside it. Once water is drained, remove the cake like soya bean and cut into shapes, then fry it. For the egg like Awara, after cutting, dip the one that has been cut into raw egg and fry. After frying, prepare your pepper sauce and your Awara is ready to go down. NB: it can be taken with yaji (spiced dry pepper) also... |
Mariangeles:I don't know what tofu is. This tastes nice though. Made from soya beans |

Ama80:I think everything depends on where you are buying it. Where I stay, there's a suya, kilishi and danbunama spot and they are neat. If you see how They prepare it, you'd love to eat kilishi again. Besides when you are buying from road side Aboki who knows nothing about hygiene, what do you expect ? Most of them care less about what they sell because people still patronize them. Suya is even better sef because the heat from the fire can kill germs. My love for fura de Nunu died when I saw the process. The boy was using his mouth to draw milk from the cow's breast and then pour into the selling bowl. Since then I preferred Habib fura de Nunu. I am taking Habib because I haven't seen the process too and I just hope it's not like the way I saw the other boy processing it... Like someone said, Na God dey save us o. |
Those pictures are too graphic and gross. My heart and skin ooo |
