CultureRe: American Women That Marry Nigerian Men by Leilah(f): 7:44pm On Mar 31, 2009
Redgal, if they are traditionally married, forget it, they will never seperate especially if there is children.  his wife could be fuly all knowing his game and playing along with it. Not sure what the legislation says in the USA, but certianly if he had a child with you and was supporting it that would help his stay and help his freedom of movement. he may not want to marry you as he could have already promised his naija wife he would marry her in the US when he is fully sorted out. undecided

Now in saying that, i could be wrong given that he IS a US citizen, but if he is a US citizen why is he wife in Nigeriahuh?
CultureRe: American Women That Marry Nigerian Men by Leilah(f): 7:34pm On Mar 31, 2009
babyboo 79, I think some rather get married in Nigeria as its quicker. Others don't want to make themselves known to the authorities in the west for various reasons ie visa expiration, there is always a method in their madness!

I dont think you need to be afraid of him keeping you in Nigeria, thats prolly the last thing on earth he would do.

@tiffany, you need to be careful aswell. As much as we are human and how much as love can grow, the shit will hit the fan, Nigerian men need women who they can relate to. Totally different cultures with totally different mentalities. As much as I research this matter I am always willing to compromise, but sorry, I can never change the person who I am nor can I pretend I am something I'm not.
CultureRe: American Women That Marry Nigerian Men by Leilah(f): 7:29pm On Mar 31, 2009
Thats nice Tiffany! at least he wants to take you down to Nigeria! thats something. very best of luck!

CultureRe: How Come Nigerian Ladies Never Have A Drink? by Leilah(op): 6:52pm On Mar 31, 2009
Remeber oyibos can handle drink, they are used to it and it is acceptable in our culture. We still do what we have to do at home etc etc. i would like to know how you define worship b'cos there is one or two ladies I know who dont drink and smoke at all and their husbands go out and cheat around.

Dereloaded, So youre saying any woman, Nigerian or not, if they drink and smoke they can never be respected?
So what exactly is it that makes a woman respected?
How can a nigerian man expect his western/American/carribean wife to be a tee totaler?

So the only way you can be respected is if you are a TThuh

CultureHow Come Nigerian Ladies Never Have A Drink? by Leilah(op): 10:06pm On Mar 30, 2009
I noticed at Nigerian parties none of the women drink at all but all of the men do?

I also noticed that south african women do have a drink alongside their husbands.

How come Nigerian women never drink?

FamilyPlease Help! I Smashed The New Lcd Tv! by Leilah(op): 9:16pm On Mar 16, 2009
ok guys, normally I just have a couple of drinks and I am fine. Saturday night i went overboard,my husband went to bed and I was up watching the TV went to close the window and lost my balance and fell into it and smashed it. My husband is furious he won't talk to me. He went out and bought a new one for 900euros!!. I told him i would get a new one and finance it but he went ahead and got another one that I don't have all the money for. I only have a small PT job but what I did was very wrong. I'm feeling very guilty and embarrassed, he is never gonna take me seriously now,
TravelRe: Leaving For Nigeria In 3 Weeks: What Do I Need To Know? by Leilah(f): 10:37pm On Mar 11, 2009
Wow Udode, you will have a wonderful trip indeed! I was there twice. Abuja is a really cool city we travelled to Enugu also. I would not fly on any of the domestic flights though to be honest even though they may be alright. Don't pay for anything by yourself, always make sure your partner is with you, otherwise you will be charged even more than double. I had massive diarrhorea for the the two weeks I was there. I get it in other hot countries too though. Wish I could go again real soon,  you're so lucky. Your case is quite rare indeed.  wink

Thankfully,I have never been treated as bad as that. My husband doesnt go missing and is in noway as vicious as that. Papers again, sorry bridget. Be a senisble woman and report it to the Home office that you no longer reside together as husband and wife.

This is the same girl that found out, just after she had her son that he impregnated another woman. She is still with him even after him punching the faceoff her. You really are something else. As I have said many a time, leave them to their undecidedown women.
