so one day, I was teaching my primary 2 pupils classes of food, when I got to Protein, I have this pupils Ahmed by name. who is just something else that every teacher is just tired of him. so that day his class mate were mentioning foods that gives protein to the body.

When I look around, Ahmed hand was up, I was happy that Ahmed will contribute. so I gave him the go ahead, as the whole class was silent to hear what Ahmed will say.

Ahmed stood up and said Grasshopper....

I was like, Ahmed, grasshopper as Protein...

Actually the boy may be right... If cockroach can be protein, why not grasshopper??

I've not taken time to search the internet for more and accurate information.. But from his explanations, he said Cloud Computing is like a data in cloud, you know cloud, where we save our stuffs and they are really safe right there, even if the world ends, it would still be there... So cloud computing is like the engineers of these cloud platforms where we save our things....

The whole thing is not too clear to me yet but just it has to do with saving data in cloud... And the database of the cloud

I've never taught in a school before, the only time I could have, was back then during NYSC, but I wasn't posted to a school, I really wanted to teach but it didn't work out...

But the closest I've come to being a teacher was when I was with an NGO and we go about secondary schools to educate the young girls there about the importance of girl child education..
And on one of those occasion, after the lecture, we asked them if anyone had a question to ask but they all kept silence until we asked them to write it and that we would not mention names...
1. I'm 16 years old, there is a boy in my street that wants to have sex with me, should I let him?

2. My parents don't have money to pay my school fees, and there's one Alhaji that is always coming to them too marry me, he promise to pay my school fees, should I marry him? (I could have sworn that a tear dropped from my eyes when I saw this one)

The questions were all sex related and I couldn't help but wonder the kind of things that go on in the minds of these little ones...
I shook my head later on after the whole thing..
Those young ones, some of them need reorientation, total overhaul of their foul minds!

I sort of began to see myself in a different light, away from the usual low self esteemed fellow waiting for instructions or believing that other people are superior to me...
I used to follow girls around and wished they accepted me proposal until I discovered its not worth it and that these girls are not better than I am, I'm probably even better in the real sense of it but inferiority complex wouldn't let me see that...
I braced myself, got back up, dusted my shoulders and kept my head up high, treated myself the best I could, I go out when I have some money to throw around, have myself a good treat, eat the things I only fantasized about.. I refused to be judgmental and hard on myself and I'm enjoying what it means to put yourself first...

Cloud computing... My cousin lost a 4 million Naira job because he wasn't skilled in Cloud Computing, now he's dead serious to acquire it, learning from an online paid course training platform... It's so revealing that since he divulged the information to me, I'm adding that to the things I intend to learn online.....

But sapa too much for Naija so enrolment fee and data money is the issue for me...
So because of that I put crypto on the side to fetch me money and too the stone age trade of palm oil, it is a blockchain too if given proper attention....

@op, I feel your pain, I'm almost in the same situation as yours, born n brought up in Lagos, i only left when I was offered admission to Unical, i enjoyed my sanity in Calabar, less traffic and serene environment, passed out of service last two months and now, I'm in Abuja, Lagos was never an option, i could no longer cope with the stress and madness, though I'm still looking for a job, but I'm hoping for the best.

I'm quoting you not because I have a job for you yet but because we share almost the same story.. I grew up in Lagos, left to Kogi, my state for school, in the university. After service last November, I moved to Abuja to seek greener pastures but it appears the grasses are withered right now, but I'm keeping my hopes up, great things will come my way soon...
