freeshipping only. I no dey in hurry for anything to arrive it is not that i need the money urgently, it is just to store value over longer time. Commodities are the best store of value. You always sell at your own price. Just learned this recently, even usd is not safe. Last year i bought usd at 880 next week it dropped to 630 and i sold at a loss. Lol

Same thing almost happened to me when USD stood at N850 but later dropped to N710

even with shiping it is not expensive. Chrisvic mall charges $2 per kg for sea freight. Go on aliexpress and see how much margin there for items that are highly sort for here in nigeria.

You are really giving me hints and headway, interesting.. Let me see

many things you can buy from aliexpress and co sell for like times 2 the price in nigeria. Makes sense if you have usd you just buy from china and sell those things. My plan is to set aside about 40% of my earnings to doing this. Too much loses exchanging money to naira

That's a good idea.. You factor in shipping charges too I guess

i keep my money in USD too, but i am switching to diversifying. Would buy fast moving commodities instead so i can always set the price i want to sell at, you cannot reallybset your price with fiat currency.

Hard truth.. I'm looking to do the same

Rise is a savings and investment platform that helps save and invest your money in USD, think of it as an alternative to hoarding USDT in your Binance. Certain percentage is added to your money, depending on which investment category you opt for. The interest varies by categories and you can get your money anytime you want... If you don't want to invest sef, you can just move your money from your local bank account such as Access Bank or First Bank or any bank into your Rise account and leave it there... 8% interest in dollars will be agreed to that money in 10 months. And when Naira falls, the value of your money automatically increases without you doing anything...

Bottom line? Just a cool trusted financial platform to safeguard your finances. DYOR by the why... Search for Rise on Google

It scares you only because you been scared already that Mr Gold hates divorce. If you know that you can exit a bad marriage at will, it won't scare you. And couples will realise that both need to put efforts to make it work otherwise the other partner might exit
I agree with you 100%

Too bad many people are in a marriage they can't exit anymore no matter how abusive or mentally depraving it is...

I think the society caused it. They place a very high value on marriage that makes everyone aspire to it (especially ladies) and they tell you God hates divorce. While that may be true, how do I contend with a woman whose behaviour I can't tame and or tolerate? And vice versa....

Truth is, marriage scares me

Get a skill…

I have never personally submitted my CV…

It’s a mindset I had from 100L and it’s over 10 years after school; I am wealthier than most of my lecturers and classmates who had better grades.

At times , Failure brings out the beast in you.

That you had a 3rd class means you are not good in that area, in other areas of life , you will be amazed at your potentials. Even a first class will be an understatement.

I can’t imagine living on 250k a month salary with no freedom.

I have been at home enjoying my life since Dec 23, with zero financial pressure.. Till I get back to work in 2 weeks time.

You should get angry..

Life is funny , I look back at times and I wonder if I was that same guy that wanted to commit suicide because of poor grades ? cheesy
I particularly like your post. If it doesn't spur the op into action, then I wonder what will.

By the way, can I send you a mail so we could have a conversation? Thanks

Religion / Re: What Are You Thanking For As 2022 Is Coming To An End? by Lemmy123(m): 8:48am On Dec 30, 2022
I'm thanking God for giving me the strength to overcome depression... That thing can be mind crippling, I almost lost it...

I've learned that things in life are meant to be taken slowly and steadily. You put pressure on yourself and mental health when you compare someone else's progress with yours.

The more you remove the pressure, stay positive but expect negative, the more good things come your way... But the more hell bent you are on getting something, the more it sails farther from you.

Easy does it my dear friend-they won't teach you this one in school

Cost of living isn’t really expensive, you get what you pay for, Though I live in the capital but I can still say it’s affordable if one is ready to cut her cloth according to her size, I have visited Abuja times without numbers and I feel Abuja too is affordable, the only thing I realize is a bit expensive is their apartments, their rent is more like Lagos... Houses in Abuja are expensive but considering the road, the road networks and electricity, I can tell it’s better than Lagos. But when it comes to food damn Abuja is cheap.

About the food part, you sound so sure... Lol

Maybe you were referring to some years ago

Hey, can I send you an email? Perhaps we can be friends wink

Lol the way I hate Lagos ehn I don’t really get serious with men who base in Lagos... I fear for my unborn children.. No way I’m gon marry a Lagos base and start nurturing children there.... Forget the hype Lagos is a ghetto and a slum where mentally challenged people live

Sounds very much like it.. Lol

So where you based now, by the way?

Hahaha. Now if I visit Lagos, everything use to be so strange to me like I never lived there for once.. The noise, the crowd, the littered environment, the agbero and conductor drama lol it’s madness. My psyche can’t handle Lagos anymore grin

Oh my, why do we have a number of things in common?

I visited Lagos last year to attend a job interview I was skeptical about getting. The odds were against me... I was surprised to see that people still behaved anyhow after a very long time I left the place. Conductors still hurl insults at people, people still fight for change, roadside traders are still ready to pour dirty water on you if they perceive you as troublesome... So many things hasn't change, no decorum. It's like the civilisation I experienced in Abuja did not reach this place.. Lol

I felt lonely and inward in a very crowded Lagos. I didn't miss anything all along. I don't like Lagos anymore... Sad truth.

Hahaha I keep telling my Lagos friends that no sane person can live in Lagos.. They can interpret my say anyhow they want to but that’s the bitter truth

Lol... That's a bit on the extreme though... You can still live there and get your peace of mind but cannot compare that of other states...

Too, the infrastructures are stressed, that explains why it can't serve everyone...

I like my pace but I couldn't get it in Lagos, unfortunately

You can’t sleep in peace in Lagos.. Na so so car horn you go Dey hear... the traffic is one hell... the way people board buses are insane...small rain go fall like this, lagos go Dey flood..Them no born you well to wear white for Lagos, before you reach destination your white don brown finish. I don’t know why they like that Lagos because I Iived there for the early 17 years of my life but I can tell you relocating out of Lagos is one of the best things my family did.

Just exactly the number of years I lived there too... It's my place of birth so I think I know Lagos that much even though I was still very young and did not go out much (no thanks to my dad always grounding me and older sis). Okokomaiko was an eyesore but that's where we lived..

When I moved out, it was initially boring at my new place but I adapted later on..

It was in Abuja that I realised that people can be sane and still live in Nigeria, people can be peaceful fun and all that. You can forget your change and they'll call you back to give you..

I work from home so I love the silence that begins from 10am when outdoor employees and kids may have gone to work/school (I can almost hear myself think)

The standard of living may not be that friendly but the peace of mind is heavenly. I loved myself and Nigeria more when I moved out of Lagos.

My thoughts were aligning properly and my inner self found peace.. Lol
