Good day nairalanders,been thinking for a while now about how useful dogs are in our homes in terms of been pets,making the home lively and most importantly,serving as security awareness.
Dogs are wonderful animals,sometimes called man's best friend due to its sensitivity to human needs and so on.
Many of us are really proud owners of different breeds of dogs and one time or the the other, these dogs has really kept us at alert at the slightest change(movement) in our immediate environment,mostly at the odd hours of the night and we are really grateful for this wonderful creature, for this reason some of us do have 1,2,3 or more dogs in our homes to make us feel safe in terms of security.
But no matter how intelligent we label this animal,it will always be a lover of food either from its owner or a stranger and sometimes food from the later might end up being a poison,in some cases,home invaders do come along with poisonous coated meat to feed to dogs at the potential targeted homes,in which many cases,the dogs do end up eating such harmful substances then eventually leading to its death thereby leaving the home unprotected.
To my question,is there any measure that can be taken to stop our dogs from eating from strangers or at least only from their recognised plates?

What u just explained exist virtually in all women, forget whether u are in a relationship now or married. Women are like Television, they may have different manufacturers but they are wired the same way. I think a large quota of u ladies here don't understand what d op said,first and foremost, a lady is not meant to carter for a mans family but a man is to do that at least to an extent to a lady's family,a man is expected to marry a woman an her family including responsibilities but that can't be said for d woman, its even a taboo,over the years men have always seen nothing wrong in doing so but with d latest development in our dear society,were ladies make it a do or die affair to get married to a rich guy even without knowing how he suffered to acquire such,might have been even turned down by same ladies who now admire him

another point I want to raise is still on this same topic, from page to this very one,I can say that the reason why a Nigerian girl is submissive is because she is broke or at least u are more financially OK than her,which means the so called ones we are calling angels might be a devil just because they are still broke,why on earth should u tag along a wife being submissive to her man with her financial status,do u loose respect for your dad,mum,uncles and aunts because you think u have made it in life with your change.
if i am to work so hard to up my game financially so as my wife to remain submissive,then such wife is not worth getting married to

that is the pros and cons of agro biz,you must have practical knowledge before venturing into any, that is why it's always good to step into any biz with a single foot before diving into it
for a successful poultry farming,right medication count for almost 50% success already, others might be biosecurity, feeding ratio and so on
when I started my broiler biz,I went in with 14 broilers,lost all due to lack of practical knowledge,after a while,I did 6 birds,this time with enough knowledge, 5 got matured successfully,same with all other aspect of bizness,practical knowledge is Paramount
About the profit,with the right know how,100 layers birds should give you average of a crate per day but mind you,you feed them for about 18 weeks before they start laying
So u need intense capital when you want to venture into layers,that ll be my point on that gift.

Is quite profitable if you know how to cross your t's and dot your i's well it's a biz u can double ur input within 2 months,dat is for broiler birds tho still perfecting my skills in layers,not into that just yet

Had same hard core story too
Been doing d fish biz on a small scale for a while now which has been owk on d average in terms of turn over,early this year,wanted expanding my coast in the cat fish biz which made me to rent an earthen pond for about 3000 juveniles...
to cut d story short,I lost those numbers to about just 37 pieces due to biosecurity.
to make things worst,all these happened a month to harvest.
that is my own story,I actually lost a lot
still on my poultry biz at the moment.
