locodemy: I did last two weeks with Afriprud. They replied me last week my Transcorp shares is mandated to my account. Just fill your e-dividend mandate form on their website now. Since the registrars has close the book on the qualification date 15th April, you will need to fill a transfer form from your broker in order to get your dividend to your bank acct. I usually receive UBA dividend from Afriprud. Do I still need to fill another form? |

EMMAACHILE: Ideally 37*20/3= 250 broilers to 300 broilers max I thought it is a bird per square feet? That should be about 740 birds. |

Izzymore: Starter feed from day one to 6weeks then Switch grower feed from 6 to 9 That means 100 birds will consume 100kg(4 bags of feed) for the first 6wks. Is it possible to achieve 2kg body weight with that quantity of feed? |

Izzymore: A broiler chicken will eat about 1 kg of starter, 1.5 kg of grower and 1.5 kg of finisher to reach market weight... Multiply by amount of birds Thanks. What's the interval between the different feeds? |

Izzymore: Feed consumption for 1 birds ( pullet)
Week 1... 98grm Week 2.... 140grm Week 3.... 175grm Week 4.... 203grm Wwwk 5... 250grm Week 6.... 273grm Week 7.... 300grm Week 8...... 330grm Week 9...... 364grm Week 10.... 390grm Week 11.....427grm Week 12..... 456grm Week 13......490grm Week 14....511grm Week 15... 530grm Week 16.....555grm Week 17.... 565grm Week 18... 616grm Week 19..... 639grm
Chick mash for Week 1 to 6.
Growers mash from week 7 to 30% in laying.
1000grm is equal 1kg
Calculation for 100 birds in week 1 = 98grm x100 birds = 9800 divided by 1000= 9.8kg
Calculations for chick starter from week 1 to week 6 =
98+140+175+203+250+273= 1139grm for 1 birds
For 100 birds = 1139grm x 100 birds =113900
113900 divided by 1000 = 113.9, that's 4 bags and half.
Grower mash from week 7 to 19 weeks
300+330+364+390+427+456+490+511+530+555+565+616+639= 6173grm for 1 birds
Lets do 100 birds
6173grmx100 = 617300
617300 divided by 1000 = 617kg, that's 24 bags and half.
Chick mash is 4 bags and half
Grower mash is 24 bags and half
Thats 29 bags from week 1 to week 19.
Note: free access to feed (ad li bitum) is advisable from week 1 to 5. What of feeding consumption for broilers? |

Youngext: My brother, if you value your investment and if you know you want peace of mind, I advice you stay away from obj marshals and chikun birds for now, you might not have the stomach to bear the brunt of what the chicks might do to you.
We were able to salvage what we could, because we were armed and ready for what ever challenge brought to us, but for a first timer or an amateur in the game, I will advice against it.
IF you want to stock, go for Chi Abor Acre plus birds, or Agrited Ross308 for your desired peace of mind. But your experience with OBJ marshal was good. What were your encounter with the OBJ marshal breed? |

Mysticwebb: Typical Nigerians, before they accepted the job, they were told it is temporary. It will last for 2yrs. They accepted, 4yrs down the line, government that brought them in, now said, okay, it is enough. The beneficiaries then forgot the initial agreement and start abusing the government. I thought they were promised to be integrated into other jobs after their training? I am sure more than 80% of the beneficiaries were just collecting free money without reporting to their place of assignment. The best thing the ministry should have done is to disengage those that abandoned their duty and reward the diligent ones. |

We are one family of investors. The truth is that as one advance in age he drop some certain things as maturity set in. Most of things we said is what we feel based on what around us, which will guide our investment decision, some might come to pass while some might fail. Am seeing everyone here as partner in progress that's why I have chose in life not to pick fight with anyone, but always to pursue peace with all people as Bible tells us to do. We are here to help one another, this days I have reduces the number of my post, only to show face when I feel I can help. I have been in stock investment for more than a decade, has experience both the ugly and good side of it. With wealth of experience through practical participation, has bring a lot of people into investing in NSE, because through my experience, I perfectly understand, that NSE is one of the most safest place to invest in Nigeria, if not number one. So friends, let no one see my post as a challenge or competition, but to see it just as a personal view, through my research/observation which might come true or might not come true. But never intended to monkey Hunt or mislead. One more things, I will appreciate if unguided comments/ abusive language can be set aside. We can always correct without insult, because no one is perfect, we all make mistakes at one point or the other, and we all learn every day. Thanks for your understand, one love. Thanks. |
