XketchDesigns: Mechanical.. You can work as any other engineer with this degree. With a little bit of training of course.
You don't have to do masters, if you are good you will get a good job. Money is made in other areas, not just oil and gas. Don't have that myopic view.

Electrical is also very good.
Chemical.

Civil though I wouldn't advice, it's kind of restricted.
Last, petroleum engineering. Is the worse of them all.
Please what makes petroleum engineering the worst.

APC should just allow GEJ complete his second term peacefully grin
Nigerians will never forgive APC if there is another violence after next year's election(after GEJ's victory grin ).As we all know its the poor masses that will suffer.
The opposition should know when to attack with all their might- that should be 2019 by the grace of God.
PDP must go come 2019 but for peace to reign Buhari should park tight and stop wasting the lives of ignorant Nigerians after every election. cool

Rilwayne001: The both are more competent than the clueless man in Aso Rock now.

Nigeria needs cerebral minds at the helm of affairs to achieve accelerated development. The present administration led by Jonathan has failed in critical sectors like power, security, fight against corruption, reduction of poverty and unemployment rates.

The end of PDP is near, and they will all be swept out of office come 2015 general election.

Only a retarded person would vote into office that clueless Jona again after failing us in soo many ways.

I NOMINATE THE PEOPLES GENERAL
I may agree with u if u say this administration failed in the fight against corruption but developmental wise GEJ has done very well.
Even Buhari cannot stop Nigerians from been corrupt u should know that by now.
Nairaland GeneralBoko Haram Insurgents Relocate From Sambisa by leo1234(op): 7:52pm On Aug 27, 2014
Information coming in from Borno State in
northern Nigeria suggest that the Boko Haram
insurgents might be changing their base from
the Sambisa forest moving towards southern
Borno.
According to a report published by Sahara
Reporters today, Wednesday, 27 August, 2014,
residents living near Sambisa forest in Borno
State have reported seeing a large number of
Boko Haram militants leaving the thick forest
Tuesday’s morning and moving towards
southern Borno.
It was gathered that a security source also
confirmed the account of the villagers.
The source informed that Nigeria’s intelligence
agents were aware that members of the
Islamist sect, who had been holed up in
Sambisa forest, seemed to be relocating to the
large territories they have captured in their
recent attacks.
He added that the insurgents’ relocation is
most likely motivated by the sect’s recent
successes in capturing several major towns in
northern Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa States.
According to some villagers, who claimed to
witness the militants’ relocation, the
insurgents had been moving their families and
possibly many of their abductees to safer
grounds in towns captured in recent weeks.
A villager in Kirawa, a town on the
Cameroonian side, also said he had seen some
suspected Boko Haram militants moving
through Cameroonian territory to Nigeria with
large amounts of cargo in tightly secured
convoys.
Many people believe the alleged relocation of
the insurgents may be as a result of about 480
Nigerian soldiers who fled to neighboring
Cameroon some days ago in order to escape
from a fierce contingent of Boko Haram
militants that attacked Gamboru-Ngala, a
major town near the border with Cameroon.
It was reported after the incident that the
militants easily seized the town, and hoisted
their flags at a police station and the home of
a former governor, Ali Modu Sheriff.
It was reported that the fleeing soldiers, who
ran away with civilians, left behind four
armored personnel carriers (APCs) and a huge
cache of arms that the militants have taken.
Only on Tuesday, the absconding soldiers were
repatriated to Nigeria by the Cameroonian
authorities .
Meanwhile, many villagers that were displaced
because of the heavy fighting Gamboru-Ngala
are still trapped in Fotocol, a small town near
Ngala.
At least, 10, 000 people have lost their lives
while tens of thousands of others have been
internally displaced from their communities in
northeastern Nigeria due to Boko Haram
insurgency since 2009.

Nairaland GeneralEpidemic Worse Than Ebola Called ‘single Mothers’! by leo1234(op): 8:14pm On Aug 25, 2014
In a piece titled Singleton ,
comedian Alibaba expressed his views on the
challenges single mothers in Nigeria face and how
they can overcome these challenges.
Read the article below:
Every now and then, I meet and get messages,
from ladies, who either lost their jobs, widowed,
pregnant and no job, the guy who impregnated
them absconded, or is around but doesn’t give a
hoot, or working but can’t meet the financial
demands of raising kids on their own, or the guy
agreed to having the babies and to support with
their upkeep… But things happened and he
couldn’t come through with the promised
support.Single mothers are increasing in numbers
consequent on one or two of the reasons
mentioned above. And this always makes me ask,
is it not possible to avoid being caught up in
some of these tough situations? I know its
impossible to know if you will be a widow and left
with 2 or 3 kids to raise by yourself, as a mother.
But when it happens, what is the solution?
Some ladies just want to have kids, because they
attended a birthday party and they saw Kemi with
her 2 lovely kids. They also know Kemi has no
visible source of income. Wake up!!!!! Kemi has
sources of income. Ruff n Tumble DOESNT dash
kids clothes weekly… To be honest, you don’t
want to know what she does to make those kids
look desirable enough to make you want to have
yours. Maybe Kemi has a job. Maybe she has a
rich husband. Or maybe she has a loaded
boyfriend. Saved up wealth. She could be the
“saving grace” of a guy who has been looking for
a child. She may have rich parents. She could be
a surrogate mum. Who bore the kids and is
caring for the kids for the true parents…. Maybe,
just maybe…
But, hey, nobody can stop you from wanting to
have your own child or children. You ought to.
And if they don’t come naturally, adopt. There is
no issue with that. Only problem is, WHAT HAVE
YOU DONE TO PREPARE YOU FOR THE CHILD OR
CHILDREN YOU PLAN TO BRING INTO THE
WORLD? What are your plans towards taking care
of them as they grow… Knowing that it cost more
to bring a child up now than it did when our
parents had us. That is not to say it was any
easy on our parents. But hey, kids’ fees these
days for a single school term, is a total of
alllllllllllllll our primary up to university fees, plus
allowances.
So lets say your bobo agrees to you getting
pregnant. And you got pregnant. And he bails on
you. What will you do? Lets even suppose you
have a job. What will you do when you resume
after your maternity leave… Good Nannies cost a
lot. Bad nannies even cost more. Minimum
subscription for a nanny now is about 25k… That
DOESNT include her upkeep and consumables…
Abi she no go dey chop for the house?
Okay… Before you guys begin to say WHATS ali
baba’s own sef… Let me just say, I get whatsapp,
twitter, Facebook and text messages from single
ladies who are pregnant or have kids, but do not
know what to do to take care of themselves, not
to mention the kid or kids they have… Because of
some of the reasons I mentioned in my first
paragraph. I have helped when I could and
advised when it’s advice they want. But, with the
access and opportunities social media has opened
up, these request for assistance based on the
challenges of raising kids by single mothers, have
become a regular feature in my inbox, DM,
whatsapp and even one on one.
So I ask again, what can single ladies do, that
will prepare them for when the kids come and
there is no bobo, sugar daddy, father, husband or
the equivalent… Or do to support what she earns
even when there is such a person who is a
significant other?
DONT get me wrong o… There are ladies who can
hold their own and even still put the guy who they
are with on a monthly allowance. They are not
“among of” what I am about here. So zip it.
I know someone will think I have nothing to do,
that’s why I am writing this… But trust me. There
is an epidemic out there. It’s not EBOLA but
single ladies are going through this daily. And
it’s how to be a single mum and still hold your
head high in the face of school fees, house rent,
parental demands, sibling responsibilities, looking
good, career pursuit, peace of mind, remain sexy
and responsible,…
You may call me whatever… But soon you will be
wondering why abandoned children are flooding
orphanage homes..

Christianity EtcMuslim Clergymen Begin Miracle Healing Crusades Like Their Christian Colleagues by leo1234(op): 8:45pm On Aug 22, 2014
AFRICAN Muslim clergymen have begun
performing miracle healing crusades like their
Christian counterparts in an new development
that recently saw Sheikh Salawatiya Rashid Imam
hold an open air session near Accra.
Taking a leaf from his Christian brethren, Sheikh
Imam held a healing crusade at the Kawokudi
Park at Mamobi, just outside Accra. During the
event, thousands of sick, infirm and needy people
gathered to be prayed for and blessed by him in
the hope that they would be healed.
Among those who turned up were the blind and
cripple, who queued desperately to be blessed
with holy water and be touched by the sheikh. To
ensure there was enough water for them, Sheikh
Imam hired a water tanker and its contents were
used to wash the faces of the crowd as well as
given to them to drink.
Sheikh Imam said: "Prophet Mohammed said this
is the best way to go. If you eat of this and get
money from this it is one of the best types of
money.
"Our Prophet Mohammed used to use water from
absolutions and give it to sick people to drink. He
also used to recite verses from the Koran and
give it to sick people and they became healed."
Ghana and Nigeria are the two countries with the
fastest growing evangelical movements in the
world as thousands of pentecostal churches have
sprung up in both nations recently. It is mainly
Nigerian pastors who have exported their trade to
Ghana where they have found a lucrative market
as the needy throng to such churches in search of
help.
Given the cultural and linguistical similarity
between both countries, it is easy to adopt
whatever work in one nation to the other. With
Islamic miracle healing crusades haven taken off
in Ghana, it is now only a matter of time before
the practise gets exported to Nigeria.

FamilyRe: A Nigerian Baby Started Feeding Herself 72hrs After Her Birth! by leo1234(op): 6:32pm On Aug 22, 2014
Royver: I read this article earlier this morning.
You guys should know this baby was STARVING!
It's very possible the mother gave birth to the baby and then refused to breastfeed her, opting instead for bottle feeding

Shaking is a sign of hypoglycemia or in layman's terms "severe hunger"! This baby must have been hypoglycemic from the mother's womb.

Low birth weight is another indication of possible poor malnutrition in the womb, maybe mommy wasnt feeding well or was sick.

So this child's response to grabbing that feeding bottle when they put it to her lips was a do-or-die affair cheesy
Pure survival instinct!
The Pikin be like "Meeen, av come to this world two times, na naija I land, and this third time wey I come land for UK na hin una wan kill me with hunger? Na lie una talk! cheesy cheesy cheesy
U may have a point but for a baby at that age to be able to direct the bottle to her mouth is amazing.

FamilyA Nigerian Baby Started Feeding Herself 72hrs After Her Birth! by leo1234(op): 2:17pm On Aug 22, 2014
A Nigerian baby, Amara Chiedozie, has
surprised doctors and nurses in the UK after
she started feeding herself with her bottle
after 72 hours of her birth.
20-year-old single mother, Onyi Chiedozie who
said she is amazed at how her daughter is
capable of holding the feeding bottle on her
own said she ‘grabbed’ her bottle during a
feed and held it to her mouth.
Amara at threee days old actually started
feeding herself, now at three weeks old she
regularly holds her bottle all by herself and
pushes it aside when she is full up.
Meanwhile the new mother, Onyi, who said she
is using a combination of breast and bottle
feeding, said everyone is amazed by the feat.
See photos below
Nigerian Baby, Amara Chiedozie, who learned to
feed herself when she was only 72 hours old
The 20-year-old mother said: ‘She was crying
as she was hungry and when we were feeding,
she started shaking, then she just grabbed the
bottle and she was holding it by herself. We
couldn’t believe it because babies don’t
normally do it that young, I’m so shocked that
I have been documenting it every day”.
Nigerian Baby, Amara Chiedozie and her mom,
Onyi Chiedozie
“It’s unbelievable, even nurses are really
surprised – when my health support nurse
came she was shocked as well., she couldn’t
believe that this could happen. Whenever we
go to appointments, we take pictures of her
doing it. The midwife and even the doctor we
had an appointment with on Saturday was
actually amazed – they all couldn’t believe it” .
Nigerian Baby, Amara Chiedozie, who learned to
feed herself when she was only 72 hours old
“I just think she has a lot of strength, I’m not
sure why though as she wasn’t particularly
heavy when she was born. ‘When she doesn’t
want it she will push it away. She isn’t strong
enough to throw it away, but she does push it
away, like she does with her dummy. If she is
really hungry, she starts shaking, then she will
just grab the bottle as you give it to her.’
Nigerian Baby, Amara Chiedozie, who learned to
feed herself when she was only 72 hours old and
her mom, Onyi Chiedozie
Amara was born at Queen’s Hospital in
Romford, Essex, on August 3 weighing 6lbs
3oz.
Her mother Miss Chiedozie Onyi, a student,
however, said she makes sure she is always
watching her daughter when she is feeding
herself.
She said: ‘Sometimes I hold her or sometimes
you can prop her up with a pillow and give her
the bottle. I’m always watching her – I don’t
let her out of my sight.’
