1. the lady is being painted.
2. She's slightly sitting on a tree stem( I couldn't call it log, because it seems like the roots are still intact.) with her left leg strecthed, and she's hanging the right leg on the stem, with one hand on the stem and the second one being passed over her head; placing the hand on her head.
3. The lady is facing up.
It's a wonderful artistic drawing.

Paying a foreigner allowance? Why is Nigeria like this? Many graduates are hungry in this country even some that are working are still hungry while some countries have money to pay foreigners allowance for children's up keep.
HealthRe: Doctors Strike......reps Threaten Warrant Of Arrest Against Health Minister. by leo1234(m): 5:09pm On Jul 18, 2014
drered: Stop being ignorant and insecure cuz nobody is trying to take "your patients" from you.. The doctor should always be the first point of call by a patient and nothing is going to change that. You should objectively look at what consultancy by other members of the healthcare team in saner climes entails.
I think u don't really know what is going on in Nigeria.
In Abuja patients who came to the hospital were asked to see the consultant nurse because she can do what the doctors do.
At uch Ibadan a plastic surgeon was prevented from inspecting the wound of his patient because a consultant nurse had done that.
At Nnewi a consultant pharmacist went for a ward round and changed the prescription made by a cardiologist on the ground that the drug have some side effects.
Are these obtainable in saner climes too?

drered: Actually she was smiley So tell me more about ideals..
Thank you very much for the information. But college of medicine is not a hospital. It is a training center for students. Example of a hospital is UNTH(university of Nigeria teaching hospital)
HealthRe: Doctors Strike......reps Threaten Warrant Of Arrest Against Health Minister. by leo1234(m): 3:17pm On Jul 18, 2014
deadie: You said it all. The mentality of the doctors in Nigeria is very different. I work in a hospital in Germany and the hospital director is not a physician. Yet the NMA will rather see patients die than have the position open to all qualified persons? Their ego is out of this world.
The person u quoted said majority of the chief executives are non doctors. But he did not state if the medical directors are usually doctors or not.
So in Germany-
Are the medical directors usually doctors or not?
Do consultant nurses consult in the hospital?(a patient who visits the hospital can see a consultant nurse because he/she knows what the doctors know.)
HealthRe: Doctors Strike......reps Threaten Warrant Of Arrest Against Health Minister. by leo1234(m): 3:02pm On Jul 18, 2014
DanNafada: My little contribution as a doctor who has worked in a teaching hospital in Naija and now working in the NHS:

1. It is an absolute shame for any doctor to go on total strike, for whatever reason. There is just no justification for causing so much suffering and death in a profession that is considered to be as noble as Medicine.
2. The Chief Executive of every major health organization or hospital in most of the West is NOT a doctor. In the NHS for example, there is a Medical Director and others below him who are doctors but the head honcho is the Chief Executive, who is usually not a doctor.
3. There are Nurse Consultants in the NHS but they are mainly based in tertiary academic units and hardly involved in daily clinical care.
4. The first and only time I remember the BMA agreeing to a Doctor's strike in England, emergency and other essential services were not affected. Hardly anybody noticed there was a strike going on and most of this was because doctors voluntarily decided it would have been unethical, even if the reason for considering the strike was justified.

Nigerians have enough on their hands as it is. That a group of very educated and essential professionals cannot see why it is necessary to get back to work simply for the sake of the common man is extremely sad.
I don't really get u.
Please, in the west-
Are the medical directors medical doctors?(not chief executives)
Do the consultant nurses consult in the hospital?(I mean a patient who goes to the hospital can see a consultant nurse because he/she knows what the doctors know.)

drered: . You forgot to add that she was a PHARMACIST and consultant pharmacologist?
Was she a consultant pharmacologist in a hospital? I don't know why JOHESU people find it difficult to understand simple things. NMA is not against anybody been a consultant. But it is not ideal in a hospital setting.

Messi on Golden Ball:
"I just wanted to win
the World Cup. This
award means nothing
to me now"
SportsRe: Did Messi Deserve The World Cup Golden Ball? by leo1234(m):
Oahray: Messi was the best player on the field (man of the match) 4 times out of seven. Muller 2 times. Robben 3 times. James 3 times. Messi also created the most goal-scoring chances (23). With better finishers in his team, he'd have bagged the highest assists by far.

This dude was directly involved in every Argentina goal except the one by Higuain (Di-Maria's assist from a Messi pass).

The golden ball is not for the highest goal scorer, there's a golden boot for that.

The golden ball is not for a player just cos his team wins, there's a gold medal for that.

The golden ball is for the overall most influential player to team success. Messi is that player. Only James' influence is comparable, his team just wasn't successful.

Muller who?
Please educate those Ronaldo boys. Haters.
SportsRe: Did Messi Deserve The World Cup Golden Ball? by leo1234(m): 1:03am On Jul 14, 2014
Why not huh
Messi is the best.
Do you know how many players it takes to hold messi?
Look at what happened to Brazil when Neymer was out
If it is possible I will take this world cup from Germany and give it to messi.
Hope he wins world best this year.
Forum GamesRe: Believe Me, This Is Going To Make You Sweat!.the Best Of Puzzles. by leo1234(m): 9:57pm On Jul 12, 2014
adekayo1234: Solving this problem again involves reading it very
carefully and knowing that it means just what it
says. We are told exactly what is in each box and
also that all three labels are wrong (not just possibly
wrong). That is a lot of information, so let's draw a
grid as in problem 1, crossing off the possibilities
that any box is label correctly:
Labeled B-
B
Labeled B-
W
Labeled W-
W
Contains B-
B X
Contains B-
W X
Contains W-
W X
This problem now differs from the first in that we
must choose judiciously to fill in the rest of the
table in the fewest number of looks inside the
boxes. The best way I know to discover the answer
is to look for a choice where you are guaranteed to
learn something new. If you look first in the box
labeled B-B and you pull out a white marble, you
still haven't learned what that box contains because
it might be B-W or W-W. Similarly if you look in
the W-W box, a choice of B does not allow you even
to fill in one more cell of the table. But if you
choose the B-W box, then you are guaranteed to be
able to fill in one more cell, because if you draw out
a white marble, then that box must be the W-W. If
you draw out a black, then it must be the B-B. Let's
suppose it is white, and fill in the table:
Labeled B-
B
Labeled B-
W
Labeled W-
W
Contains B-
B X
Contains B-
W X
Contains W-
W O X
Now we can fill in the rest of column two and row
three because only one cell is left:
Labeled B-
B
Labeled B-
W
Labeled W-
W
Contains B-
B X X
Contains B-
W X
Contains W-
W X O X
And now, wonder of wonders, the first column only
has one empty cell, as does the first row, so we can
fill them in too:
Labeled B-
B
Labeled B-
W
Labeled W-
W
Contains B-
B X X O
Contains B-
W O X
Contains W-
W X O X
So the amazing thing is that by drawing only one
marble out of the box labeled B-W, we can deduce
what is in all three boxes!
If we had been bright enough to solve it without
the table we could have said that the B-W box must
be the W-W because we drew a white marble out of
it. That would mean the box labeled B-B must
contain the B-W because it is mislabeled and
cannot contain two black marbles. That leaves the
box labeled W-W to contain two black marbles.
Thus, the puzzle can be solved without using a grid,
but to me the grid method is more convincing
because the logic is so clear at each step.

The summary of my epistle is that by drawing out a single marble from the box labelled B-W, u can deduce the content of the other boxes

This was how a nurse operated on my family member and damaged one of her eyes. They keep claiming they are doctors, tarnishing the image of Nigerian doctors.
NMA really need to look into this. How can a nurse have the guts to operate on somebody's eye.
Or is it the one that happened in Bauchi where a nurse removed someone's kidney. At least that one was broadcasted on NTA.

sarutobie: ..or is it the incident that happened five days ago, where a boy just blanked out in a keke, he was taken to a nearby clinic for first aid treatment. The doctor was not around, the nurse refused to help the boy saying "I can't administer any treatment to him naa, I will have to pay with my money..let someone pay for a patient card first"...can you imagine such callousness?? Tell me why I should lend an ear to the agitation of these medical "professionals"huh
U have a point.
This had been my worry for sometime.
The truth is that many Nigerians (not all) don't have the sense of appreciation. Some even run away after treatment or tell u the money is too much.

brownlord: @bolded what do you mean? Look can you show me a doctor that is jobless after graduating from school? Even though you guys don't earn much but you are okay, why we have engineers, educationist, business administrators roaming the street with no job, look this is the problem I have with Nigeria, why do you want to compare yourself with doctors abroad when we are in Nigeria, when ASUU was coming up with their demand last year and the govt. Told them is not achievable most of Nigerians said the govt. Is heartless ASUU had their way and the result is now increment of school fees passed on to the masses and the same masses blame the govt. What happen to sowing coat according to our size.

What do you mean increasing funding for health care and we leave other sector, you think doctors are the most important, are our military men not lacking in equipment do you think it's easy to fight a terror group as boko haram with expired AK47? Will you be happy if the soldiers return to barracks because they are ill equipped? Evn though they are saying they lack equipment you still see them putting their best to crush BH then what happen to doctors demaning plate numbers, and fighting over a title, professionals, even tout won't so that.

We are our problem, everybody talk about govt, mean while who are the govt. You as a doctor, you are the president and governor to your patient in your hospital, as a lecturer you the goodluck and fashola to the student in the school, we fail in our duties and expect the politicians to do magic
True talk.
But what do u expect when the reward system in our country is very bad. The law can't protect the common man. Nigerians have decided to start rewarding themselves. Just look at those old pensioners, people are diverting their billions every month and nobody is doing anything about it. Even the ones that were caught were bailed with coins.
When super eagles were agitating for match bonus people said they were greedy but the truth is that if they had kept quiet that money might be diverted. Look at what happened to the supporters club.
Sometimes I wish Nigeria was still under colonial rule.
