Ifemide123: I had to create this account today for this. It's really eating me up and I am tired. I am 24, will be 25 soon. I am this indoor person and so I hardly meet people. My first relationship ended like two years back and I haven't been in a reasonable one since then. I meet people online cos I don't get to meet them offline, most of the guys I meet are based in different state from mine and they don't mind me visiting, but once I tell them I live with my parents and would need their permission to come visit, they just stop getting in touch. I have lost over 5 potential partners because of this, they all feel we should be comfortable with ourselves first before putting parents matter into it. Some don't see it as a big deal living with my parents, they just find it funny that they wouldn't allow me go visit my boyfriend(note that they wouldn't know him bfr I go visit) I can't even think logically anymore that's why I am here to ask Wether the problem is with me or them. The only one I met that has travelled to come visit me is verbally abusive. He met my mum and wants things done the proper way. I am really exhausted. I guess gone are those days where you have to meet your potential wife in her father's house. I told my mum I want to start attending youth church and she object to it saying I can only change church after I get married. My sisters are lucky tho, they got a job outside our state and moved out of the house go and stay with your sisters, get busy while staying with them tho..nobody got to any good place they're today by staying indoors my dear.. we could talk more cos i helped my younger sisters break out, and even my parents are grateful today with what they've become. |

President Buhari on Monday August 19, expressed fear over Nigeria’s population explosion which he described as "frightening".
The President told the 43-ministers-designate who will assume office tomorrow to work hand-in-hand to find a solution to the worrisome trend.
Buhari also stated that his administration's major focus is on securing the country, improving the economy and anti-corruption.
More ==>> https://www.042hits.com/nigerias-population-explosion-is-frightening-buhari/ The population is not a problem, ineptness of our politicians and citizens is the problem. The rising debt coupled with corruption in most sectors is the problem. Nigerian youths(nothing less than 40million of them) can solve this problem. All the students in Nigeria can solve this problem. Do you know what 40million brains /minds can do if they take up solving this country's problems? |

Simplyleo: Absolute nonsense and ingredients.
Obviously for the gullible ones who know next to nothing about energy. Someone up there is already talking about govt turning blind eye, lol. As expected.
The only way water can generate electricity is through dam or any waterfall where it hits a turbine blade thereby turning it and ultimately converting potential energy to electrical energy. Or water being forced to drive a turbine as in gas stations. But in this case, the energy forcing the water must come from somewhere.
But for a portable generator running on water as fuel, 100% impossible.
Pls if you know nothing about physical sciences, just hold your peace, don't bother quoting me.
The first man to make such scientific breakthrough of creating energy out of nothing will be a multibillionair in few weeks. Continue feeling like Einstein because you are good with text books (Common/mainstream knowledge). I won't argue the possibility of energy from water, but I'll leave you with this , "men who make such scientific breakthrough of creating energy out of nothing likely end up dead in weeks ". Go to YouTube and check for "suppressed inventions", then come back and modify your post. |

Elchicolo: The immediate former governor of Osun State Rauf Aregbesola has vowed to pioneer serious taxation for wealthy people in Nigeria, when a becomes a Minister of the Federal Republic.
He said this on Monday when he was being screened by the Senate.
The minister nominee said he was responding to the senator representing Abia central, Theodore Orji who asked for his view on multiple taxation and how it affects businesses.
“The truth is, Nigeria is a federation and I am a federalist. There is a limit to what we can do on taxation in the federation. I wouldn’t have loved to go into this because it is going to be controversial.
“We have left the rich men in Nigeria without discharging their responsibility to the citizens particularly on taxation.
“So, I am going to pioneer privilege taxes for those who have huge resources or wealth from which Nigerians must tap. If I go into this, there might be some ill feelings in some quarters, so I wont go deep into that.
“I will recommend serious taxation for wealthy people in Nigeria.
“If that will now translate to lifting the burden on the state and the local government to reduce the penchant for taxes that make poor people give from their inadequate resources, of course, I will be satisfied.
“I am going to advocate a just taxation system,” he said.
Mr Aregbesola was the fourth ministerial nominee to be screened on Monday. Thirty one ministerial nominees, of the 43 sent by President Muhammadu Buhari, had been screened last week by the lawmakers.
https://www.channelstv.com/2019/07/29/im-going-to-pioneer-serious-taxation-for-wealthy-nigerians-aregbesola/ They will eventually find a way not to be taxed, at the end of the day it will be the middle class and the poor who don't know a legal way to skip tax that will be taxed.... gracegrace668: Hello everyone. Please, I'm not a newbie on NL. I opened this account to protect my identity.
I never thought I'd use this word to ever describe myself. Sadly, I am an alcoholic. It has taken me a great deal of embarrassment and pain to finally come to this conclusion.
I'm a female in my early 20's. One of the first things people comment on when we have a conversation is how intelligent I am. Good enough, I fair well academically and have done so for as long as I can remember. There is this dark side of me however. I am an alcohol addict.
I've read about my condition, especially at times when I swear I would never indulge in excessive drinking anymore. A person like me is called a functioning alcoholic. I started drinking as a way to forget some emotional and troubles but as I see, this in no way helps especially longterm.
I drink everything from wine, spirits to liquor. I go out with friends that drink. I go out to drink alone. I buy some alcohol to drink at home. I go from laying on the bed to walking out to buy alcohol. I just drink, drink and drink. I'm very ashamed of this. Sincerely, I want to stop. I want to make more meaningful decisions and relationships.
Please, how do I go about this? What can I do? Is there someone/a Group that helps with this kind of condition? Please help me.
Please help me move this to the permanent site. I'll be reading for suggestions. Answer these questions dear one... Do you want to die of liver failure sometime in the future? You love alcohol, to what end is this love of yours?? If you loved to do something else like work, you could be addicted to it and it will make you a billionaire. But this love for alcohol, what will it eventually make you?? I can guess dear one, it will make you miserable.... I'm a mind model, I could help you out by remodeling your mind..chat me up if you want . 08092651191. |

Christianity Etc › Re: How We Got Here And How We Can Get There by leonard509(m): 8:42am On Jul 07, 2019 |
EternalBeing: Nigeria is currently in a precarious situation. Most people are hoping for the best, but also preparing for the worst.
I'm a realist to the core, it is time to tell ourselves some bitter truths and to stop deceiving ourselves. The Law of God is for our own good, it is the only true Way to freedom. Obeying it passionately will give us the best and sweetest life while we are here on Earth and also helps us get our awaiting reward of Eternal Life. Unfortunately, satan has deceived many to see the Law of GOD ALMIGHTY as bondage. YAHWEH ALMIGHTY created us, knows the best and always want the beats for us. For example, God said don't fornicate, satan said that is bondage, fornicate and be free (deception/bondage/false freedom). You fornicated and lost your glorious Destiny, or got HIV, impregnated, become a murderer by killing her unborn baby, lost your womb, etc. JESUS commanded all to preach HIS good News and relentlessly massively win lost Souls into HIS Kingdom. satan said why should a big boy, big girl like you carry Bible and preach?! You refuse to preach, and same satan hardened the ones you didn't preach to to become ritualists, assassins, religious murderers that still come back to kill your people. So, can you see why disobeying the Word of God is the most senseless self-destructive thing that most of us are doing. No mater the inner lies we tell ourselves, the truth is that not obeying means disobeying!
"When a child falls down, he straightens up and look ahead at the front to be sure that there's no more stumbling blocks that will make him to fall again. But when a wise elder falls down, he turns to look at the back to observe what made him to fall in the past so that he can recognize and avoid such mistake in the future."- African Proverb
How and Why Did We Get Here? 1. Lack of Christian to Christian Genuine Love: We got into this quagmire because Christians in Nigeria don't truly love and uplift one another. We individually aimed for success so that as soon as we succeed, we turn to "pepper them gang" flaunting our wealth and achievements to raise envy from our fellow Christians, instead of relentlessly channeling and focusing our achievement into elevating and empowering other Christians. We seem not to take cognizance of the fact that the more Christians we help to succeed, the more peaceful our world becomes and the more our children would peacefully enjoy a generational success. Satan also use this same self-destructive ego to divide Christians along tribal lines. Christians from different tribes egoistically manifest so much pride against fellow Christians as if the sole purpose of aiming for success in Life is to kill fellow Christians from other tribes with envy. Pride may still prevent some from relentlessly striving to change for the better after reading this. Falling does not destroy, falling is not what destroyed satan, Pride did. "Pride goeth before destruction." Proverbs 16:18. Just as satan was destroyed by pride, the prideful refusal of Nigerian Christians to see themselves as Blood brothers (yes, we are all related by blood because the Blood of JESUS flows in us and bound us together) is brings a situation that could still be avoided if they unite before it's too late.
2. Refusal to Obey Jesus' Most Important Command: Matthew 6:33 is the most important Command given to every Christian. HE did say "stay in your Church or among your people" HE said "GO YE INTO THE WORLD (to the non-Christians) and Preach the Gospel" Every Christian is guilty, all of us without exemption and we are supposed to ask God to forgive us for abandoning HIS greatest command and selfishly focusing on enjoying this temporary life instead. We ought to daily strive to win truly lost Souls for HIM. We became complacent and basked in the euphoria of recycled Southern Christians, recycled glory, instead of taking evangelism as serious most important Command from the LORD, to relentlessly, strategically and massively launch into core North to massively covert new Souls for Christ. Most of us cramped ourselves in the South for fear of being killed in the North. We thought we have wisely saved our lives forgetting Matthew 16:25 "For whoever wishes to save his life will [eventually] lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. This is not to blame but to learn from our past mistakes. If our Churches gave N1Million to every volunteer Evangelist that went to the strongholds in the North, many more Southern Missionaries would have massively stormed the core North and the result we see now would have been different.
3. Past Lack of Involvement in Politics: Nobody is perfect, not even our Pastors. In the 1970s and 1980s, our Pastors made us all to think that Christians should not involved in World Leadership. It's a tragic error that this current generation have been trying to undo. Some anti-Christian persons masquerades as Christians and quote verses to ensure Christians remain weak for destruction, but knowledgeable Christians know that JESUS Christ has died for us all and we don't need to be deceived to still pay a Price that HE paid already. Hosea 4:6 "My people perish from a of lack of knowledge". In the Bible, Christian Politicians like Joseph, Daniel, David, Esther, etc. effectively and courageously got involved in how their World was ruled and they ensured the preservation of their next generation. The Biblical Jews would have been wiped out of existence if not that Mordecai decided to get involved in the Politics of the era and saved the situation. Christian Politician like Reverend Desmond Tutu played a great Key role in the liberation of South Africa from colonialism. Martin Luther (1483-1546) of Europe, other European Christian Political reformers and American Christian Politicians like Reverend Jesse Jackson, Abraham Lincoln who abolish the wickedness against blacks and women, etc. impacted the World for good and Heaven is forever celebrating them. Christians that know the Truth are not blinding themselves to the Bible verses that says: As the Children of the CREATOR of all, HE has given us the legitimate dominion over all. So, we are to dominate and not to be dominated and enslaved. "You shall be the Head and not the tail" i.e. You shall be leaders in all ramifications of live, not slaves. "Ye shall know the Truth and it shall SET YOU FREE (not made you killed like slaves)"
How Can We Leave Here and Get There? James 2:26 "Faith without works is dead" God gave us brain so that we would not be disturbing HIM for everything. Prayer is good, but we have to show that we have faith that the prayer has been answered by taking the necessary steps get us there.
Why should we be selfishly silent, we all know the reality that is currently facing us. We should not blame God later if we refused to talk while we still can. Let's dedicate full time here to discuss solutions and contribute ideas on how Nigerian Christianity could become better.

1. How to stop legit herders from roaming about with their livestock and be clashing with farmers whose farms are destroyed by these cattle. The ranches will fix that. This is 21st century, not the days of Abraham. 2. The criminal elements, who go about killing, invading and burning villages. Security agents will deal with this, with support from local policing.
To deal with number 2 effectively and stop the killings of innocent Nigerians, you need to fix number one.
Already we have a problem, what is important is implementing a good solution. Yes, ranches should only be establish in communities and states who want it.
That Sambisa Forest argument is ridiculous at best. At some point in the future there will be need for expansion of both the indigenous farmers and the Ranch settlers due to population increase and need to increase food production, what will you propose then when the fight starts again Brother! |

Why not build the ranches in the north and empower the northern youths. Agree the decision made in the past to build refineries in the north instead of the South where the oil is was to hold the South hostage or spread wealth (lame decision and economically stupid cos in the long run it wouldn't/didn't work). if you love your people, build ranches in the north so the youths over there will have something to do and thank you for because the North has the land mass to accommodate as many ranches as they want compared to the South and West combined. Use the #2.2 billionss you are promising to build as many ranches as you want in the north, it will empower people for life.
Reject it in the South and West with Good reasons as those states above so it'll be in the North. Don't accept no Mandy in exchange for lands you don't have, your children will grow to meet the growing Fulani settlements/ranches and start fighting over space again.

If you don't have anything serious and reasonable to say, please, just read comments (I know as e dey be for here, sometimes).
Its quite a long read. Apologies for any grammatical or typographical error encountered.
Here is my story.
My younger sister who is staying with me disrespects me alot, and she doesn't take my advice. My parents stay very far away and I feel responsible for her. It frustrates me whenever I tell her something and she will wait to do it at her own time or not do it at all. She even sometimes abuses me indirectly.
She is 19, came to stay with me last year November, for a Predegree program, after staying at home for two years without admission. After the first semester of her program, her result was released and it was very disappointing. She made 51% in only one course of four courses, while others are below that. To be honest, I felt I failed in my responsibilities of giving her the right counsel, motivating her, and all that. All she does is press her phone all night long, that's if she isn't watching a movie with her phone. She'll sleep and wake up the next morning by 8 or 9am.
Recently, there's this guy who happens to be my late landlord's first son in the compound where we stay that she has been spending too much time with in dark corners and I can tell in my gut that he's up to no good. He doesn't go to work, school, church, nowhere. He just seats at home all day, smoking weed and any other smokable substance he can lay his hands on. Sometimes, his friends come around and they smoke and play PES 2011 on a laptop. Lest I forget, he's also a cultist. He has tried on several occasions to make me a yahoo boy, but I had to consciously refuse.
My apologies for the long read.
About a week ago, this guy asked her to cook indomie for him, and she did, using our gas, without telling me. This got me really up set. I had to take several deep breaths. I calmed down and allowed her finish. After she was done, I asked her to seat down and we started talking. While we were talking, she started responding rudely to me.
This made me hit her for the first time in 19 years (I hate hitting them). To my utmost surprise, she hit me back. That singular act made her receive a very hard beating that she sustained lots of injuries. She immediately called home and my parents where now shouting at me on phone. My dad came the next day and said lots of things. My mom said lots of things on phone which just piss me off the more, called me all sought of names. Said I shouldn't allow the devil that is controlling take me close to my sister.
Right now, I hate all of them. My dad, mum, and sister. If I was financially buoyant enough, I would have moved out of this house. I feel really depressed, being having nightmares and I so much hate the fact that am still living here.
By the way, am male, 24, studying Biochemistry, should have finished my first degree last year but I'm having an extra year (3 spill over courses).
How do I move from here? Advice me. tell her it's her life, and whatever counsel you give her is for her own good, and you won't suffer the consequences of her wrong doings with her.. that if she means well for her self, she should go on living the way she living.. |

Politics › Re: DNA Results (is There Political Manipulation?) by leonard509(m): 4:59pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Litmus: I`ve recently been following African Americans and Caribbeans checking out their DNA in order to pinpoint what part of Africa the majority of thire ancestors originated. To cut to the chase, a pattern is emerging, which is drawing increasing curiosity if not concern. The pattern is that in almost every DNA result Update, all those that had majority Nigeria ethnicity has seen this diminished in favour of Cameroon,Togo and Benin. Many African Americans on these YouTube channels often seem bemused and questioning. One couple Called Bronson and Jazz where particularly questioning. The girl`s Nigerian DNA was redused from something like 27% to nothing and the percentage of Cameroon increased by I think the same percentage. The girl wanted to know what was going on!!! Actually so do I.
Anyway, having in the past discovered the sneaky nature of many of the people that live in the nation's of Africa outside Nigeria, a suspicions took root in me and after some thoughts I began to form an idea what may be happening. This is it: I believe that the DNA of Igbos and the people's of South South are being given to Cameroon. This was the first cheat and now I believe a second cheating is being perpetrated and that is Youroba DNA is being gradually attributed to Benin Republic and,to some extent,Togo.
Firstly, the reason I drew reference to the sneaky nature of our African neighbors is because I suspect that when DNA companies hand over testing kits to community leaders or whomever in some of these African nations to go test people in their areas , if Nigerians happened to be living among them ( after all you Niaralanders keep stating that there are millions of Nigerians in Ghana, South Africa, Guinea, Cameroon, Kenya and everywhere), these testers would not record that the Nigerians in their Nation are Nigerians instead they would record them as ethnic Ghanaian ,Togolese, Benineonese, Cameroonian or whatever.
The above is one thought. Another thought is that the DNA companies are being influenced unethically by political forces that know the power and potential of these test and are being manipulative for reasons best known to them. I have my idea what this could be but it's best I keep it to myself for now. . i like the way you reason... please i'd like us to be friends, atleast online via whatsapp, i'd like to discuss world issues with you.. just quote me if you are okay with it. |
Health › Re: Nigeria Spends $700m On Alternative Water Providers, Says World Bank by leonard509(m): 4:53pm On Mar 06, 2019 |
Litmus: Nigeria is listening and taking advice too readily from these world Agencies. This sort of naivety is part of the reasons for the rise of the miscellaneous banditry ravaging the North East, North West and soon the rest of the nation, which you will all then worsen by not identifying the right causes. Nigerians complain incessantly about Lord Lugard creating Nigeria out of disparate Tribal Nations and yet do not realise that these World Agencies are indirectly replicating the act under your noses. For instance by continually advising, cajoling and emotionally blackmailing Nigeria about the need for Nations around Lake Chad basin to pool-resources in order to combat the 4 horsemen of Climate change: namely, desertification, hunger, water and terrorism, Nigeria has been deceived into becoming all but a State in UN’s (World Organisations) new Federal Republic of the Sahel. The federal Republic of the Sahel is made up of 4 states, Chad, Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon. Nigeria as the plumiest State in the new republic is merely attracting the bandits from the other States.
Nigerians need to take Nationhood seriously. You need to scrutinise and work out the hidden implications of advice given you by the West, get to grips with recording Births and Deaths, keeping records, guarding your borders, investing in security as part of any major infrastructural and super-structural overhauls and so on. You've said it all bro.. I wonder why these WORLD BANK BANDITS are taken seriously especially by countries they have Ravaged with their ponzi scheme-like analysis.. They always have something bad up their sleeves... They say we spend $700million dollars on alternative water providers, do they mean our good indiginous mai-ruwas and pure water companies or the crippled urban water supply systems the people no longer depend on. The next move now by them will be to come and equip our country with top-notch water distribution system that to the blind is cheaper but to the knowledgeable is waaaaayyyyy more expensive than what we previously had. |

Mokenano: I started masturbating July 2017, tho I enjoyed it the first time but it keeps going on and on to the extent that I can't do without masturbating at least 4 times a day. I started doing things I don't do before, anytime I see a girl, the first thing that comes to my mind is her unclothedness and how she's gonna look down there.
Then I started masturbating with naked pictures in my mind, later with nude pictures, later Nude Gif images and now I watch porn . I'm not happy with this and I don't know how to stop it.
I'm thinking of telling this friend of mine Vivian, she preaches the word of God to me and pray with me as well maybe she can pray for me but I'm scared she might see me as a bad guy and start avoiding me.
Nairalanders please help me, I'm just 20yrs old. Get Busy My Brother... Start Reading Books, Start Learning Skills, Start Working, Start Working on your self and the future you want to see yourself in..Try to keep yourself from being idle.. Pray To GOD Everyday to Help make you so Busy that you won't have time to Excite your self, watch porn etc |

I regret till today I had no one to inform me. I ran after books like crazy thinking it will make my bata sound ‘ko-ko-ka’...I was wrong!
Except for the sole purpose of scholarship abroad, high scores in Nigeria is tantamount to penury. It thwarts your creative and business abilities. You’d think of nothing but to compete with your mates while the average students harness their energy into creative thinking and business ideas while in school. These average students make fortune before anyone after graduation. Quote me anywhere, in Nigeria, your certification is bullshyte.
My take: give your best while you think of creative ideas to maintain you during and after school. Beyond school, what will matter is your social influence and that of your family OR whatever you might have built for yourself as an undergraduate!
Peace!

Education › Re: First Year Semester GPA Of 0.2, I Need A First Class. Am on Verge Of Giving Up. by leonard509(m): 8:43am On Jun 25, 2018 |
"Bro you messed up" atleast you and i know this.. to be frank with you.. say bye bye to first class and even 2-1.. cos you have canca worms in your result.. those Fs will hunt your cgpa until you clear them.. i.e if you don't end up having more whille trying to clean these ones up.. i'm a 400lvl student from your faculty in futmx so please believe me and start working on how you'll solve your problem.. if you really want first class just write anoda jamb.... btw first year takes roughly 25-30% of your total cgpa... please if you have money just write anoda jamb . cos i'v seen what Fs can do to your overall perfomance. to show you i'll need those double whiteboard in Engine complex classes Amakababe: My name is Amaka afuzor, and i am a student of Federal university of technology minna. Mechanical engineering. 100 level
Before you accuse me of being dull, I had a 204 in JAMB. I always wanted a first class, but I decided to check my result yesterday only to see F parallel and some good grades out of 10 courses. Pls am 22 and I need to pass so I can get a good job after graduation. I know I didn't give my books much attention this semester.
I am confused because I will be asked to withdraw if I get a cgpa less than 2.0 on a scale of 5 after second semester and don't meet the 10-8-8 requirement which I am very far from.
CAN I GRADUATE WITH A FIRST CLASS STILL? Tell me the honest truth, I can handle it.
Pls who knows how many percentage of final cgpa the first year performance takes In futminna |
