Try your possible best to raise up capital for any kind of business you can that would be compatible with your academics. Try snack making and confectioneries like peanuts, zobo drinks, meat pies, etc, these are things i have seen students do and do sell quietly in class even when lectures are going on.

Or you can buy pure bliss biscuits in cartons and , students love a tasty thing and you must make sales daily.

Your mum was not jazzed, don't underestimate the actions of a desperate woman in love, but my point here is if you believe in something like that, i suggest you drop it and believe more in positive things. Join a good church, be a student and worship God.

That above is the best advice i can give you now, at least from my own experience. You don't wanna hear my own story.

Aside from buying and selling, if you have other skills, engage it.

I think the most important mistake to avoid when raising a child is over emphasizing on academics.

Allow ur kids to excel in sports, arts, social media, hand skills....etc

Thats where the real money and life is now. Not in stuying engineering and looking for wrk as marketer in bank

I can't say for sure but their diploma students though, i know some in the diploma program or the CEP that succeeded, but honestly departments like Sociology, biochemistry, political sciences are really horrible to say the least, your friend can confide in any lecturer that isn't part of the band of ''dragons'' if you know what i mean...

Lemme cut it short for you too. There is a staff (academic or non-academic) on her case. She should just follow it up bumper to bumper. Let her go to the Dean of her Faculty ot Head of her department and make the complaint or even the Senate for help.

she has met with the HOD tho and it was fruitless, told her to go and resit!

Op your friend should either pray hard, visit the lecturer, take it up with higher authorities or probably get someone close to those lecturers to help her..

Am a victim as well from FUTA spent 8years for a 5year course because of just one 300L course from anoda school till date no certificate I left wen d frustration was too much.
