Don't be the one to send her away just apply wisdom, discuss it with your hubby he should be the one to do the talk. Any word you say now, will be twisted behind your back. Just do what your strength can, after she bathe baby, carry her in, lock yourself in the room with enough provisions and water to take when hungry. If she knocks, tell her you are tired and need to catch some sleep cos baby didnt sleep at night . Tell her to feel free and enter the kitchen to cook whatever she wish to eat. You are lucky hubby is not there you don't have to bother about cooking all the time since its just your stomach.

Am sorry this night sound selfish but How do you tell your MIL to go back to her house??

She's being here since my baby was 2wks old and sorry to say she's adding to my exhaustion....

All she does is to bathe baby.....
I mean literally bathe baby.....

I cook n clean n do the vigilante business myself....
I even wash clothes myself

Ohk I was not complaining cos she is elderly like in her 70s but she keeps criticizing my cooking....
This is not the way to do this or that.....
I don't eat this or that.....

You must give baby this or that......

I think it's time I have my house back.....

Hubby doesn't stay with us.... He works in a separate place so even when I try to say am stressed he but keeps saying he's mother is very considerate.....
Now she's blaming me cos D'S has cough and catarrh because I refused her plenty plenty things when he was fine........

I went to get some drugs for him today she didn't say she was sick oh.... Now I just cook finish she now saying she couldn't sleep last night she has malaria I should go get drugs......
Why she nor talk when I go buy medicine for afternoon....

DS had a rash on day 3 cos I used powder on his whole body.....
I didn't use anything though.....
Was using salvon in his water but when that didn't work I just stopped and the rash cleared on its own....
Now we just use ORI and Baby oil nothing else....
Not even powder.. so he's always shinning Lolz...
We bathe with ordinary water nothing added.....

Am not a fan of plenty rubby rubby.....

FTM.

Please my son was circumcised on Friday and a ring placed on his penis. I was told the penis will swell but to press it with spirit and cottonwool. The thing is when I remove his pampers, I see some sort of sticky residue where his penis was.

The penis is still swollen and when I try pressing it, he screams so much, I feel xxxxxx.

I don't know what to do. The matron said if by Friday this week the ring has not fallen off, to bring the baby back to the hospital for them to remove it themselves.

I'm wondering if I should not press it anymore and just wait till Friday so I can take him back for them to remove it themselves.

My grandma said the should have done it another way where you will simply use olive oil after the circumcision has been done.

Good day mamas! I beg make una no waka pass o. My three months baby has been on exclusive breastfeeding from birth but rate she poop has not reduced if she doesn't poop is three to four time daily. We have been to the hospital twice given antibiotic still no changes.
Secondly, I want to know if at 14weeks she is weighing 4.9kg small at her age . should I add formula to her feed to boost her weight. Pls, help a worry mama

Babies on exclusive can poop several times a day....
They can never have diarrhoea so no need for antibiotics.......

As for her weight are u eating well??
Is she sucking well??
If u and DH is small baby will also be small

Pls help my situation with your experiences. I'm still adjusting to motherhood. My lo is one month today and I need your opinions on three pressing matters

1. Baby is doing a lot of carry me. Once you place him down, it's cry. When he sleeps off in your hands and you place him down, he crys. Once carried again, he'd sleep back. Can sleep 4 hours stretch when carried that I have to wake him to eat or place him on the bed to wake up. For 2 weeks now, I've had to carry him overnight for my sanity cos was crying when placed down n I was beginning to feel the stress. Also grandmas around believe babies should not be left to cry. Nothing I say makes them leave him even if for few mins to make those pre-cry sound talk less of crying, so he's carried a lot.
Mummies I need way out o. I can't be carrying baby round the house. Is it too early to start leaving baby to cry small? I'm hoping this would help him know that carrying all the time is not possible. Or what can I do to manage this. We would return home by weekend so don't even have someone to do the carrying. I need suggestion for both day and night time so I can sleep.
People keep saying he would outgrow it, I'm wondering when this time would be o.

2. My upper body is in pain. I don't know if it's breast feeding position (i usually rest my back though) or weight of carrying baby. Even carrying baby in my left hand/shoulder for 5 mins is a problem now. Is there an exercise I'm supposed to do or maybe im not carrying baby correctly? Burping him is becoming work now cos of the pain.

3. My nipples seem like they are on fire. They are so tender (and pink now) that it hurts when anything touches them. Baby sucks well. There is no pain when baby sucks, there is only pain when he latches before sucking. Pls what can i do. I heard of nipple shield, don't know how effective but I haven't seen it to buy. Also advised to put Vaseline regularly but I was thinking, won't baby end up sucking it ? Is it safe for him? I'm on exclusive for now, so he is on breast most times.

I didn't carry my baby often.... Thank God my mother would say sometimes a baby needs to cry a little....
So I left him to cry sometimes n now he doesn't cry when i drop him

As for the nipple pain I always massage with hot.water when bathing them take pcm occasionally.....
It has helped.....

U need rest....
Hence the body pain....

It's not easy hence God is ur strength.....

Mamas in the house abeg help me o, I am scared I won't know when true labour hooks me o. I have been feeling menstral cramps and back ache everyday since this week and saw a bit of old brown blood twice now after peeing. The Dr asked that I do a pelvimetry xray to check the size of the pelvis and I refused cos of what I read online of the effect of the xray on the baby. He said since am not willing to do the pelvic xray that its better lo arrives as soon as possible to avoid getting bigger since he's not sure of my pelvic size

Ask for a second opinion.....
See a consultant..... won't hurt.....
Also by the time he is suggesting induction u would be 40wks already.......
Am sure he's concerned about your baby size in relation to your pelvis......

Also u can try other ways to induce labour.....
Take long walks....
Dance......
Climb stairs.....
Zobo.......
Pineapple......
Doing the do with hubby and lying for a while on ur back so his sp××m can work.......

Finally pray n ask God for guidance.......
Induction of labour is not a bad thing.......
Follow your doctors advise, he can see you.... we can't....

Wow. Just 9 days? Baby isn't latching well, that's the cause. I felt pain too, which lasted for like d first 30secs of feeding but never had sores. I once asked here and lansinoh nipple cream was suggested, so I suggest same too. Meanwhile try to ensure baby latches well, part of the areola needs to be in baby's mouth. Although with time, baby will learn to latch properly.

On Wed May 30th 2018 I went to work as usual. I was having slight abdominal pains but thought they were braxton hicks as usual and they would stop.....
In fact after work I went to the market cos I seriously wanted to eat banga rice......
By 5pm I tried to sleep since the pain was still there but it didn't allow..... decided to count it maybe they were contractions but they were so irregular I just forget.....
By 10pm the pain was still there so called DH cos he travelled and we decided to just watch at least till 11pm.....
By then pain still remained and I decided to go to the hospital cos I didn't want to remain in the house alone. At least there I would be checked . Better safe than sorry....... I decided to carry my bags cos we had to call DH friend to carry me.
Only for me to get there doctor said I was 4cm.....

Chia..... 4cm
Pain that was bearable suddenly I started crying I don't know why oh.....
But I prayed for strength esp since I was alone without DH. I calmed down oh and even fell asleep sef.... The doctor came to meet me to check for contractions since I dey sleep .....

Anyway by 1am he decided to burst my water to hasten labour... and my dear sisters that was when I saw heaven and came back.....
The pain was horrible....
Jehovah stood by me and answered my prayers cos by 3am I was already shouting "pupu" oh
I was given a cut and my Prince came out screaming.....
The doctor was surprised about how fast I progressed cos it's supposed to be slow esp for a ftm.......

I pray for safe delivery to us all......

Please I really need an advice on what to as medications given to me by the Dr have not been able to reduce/stop the pains.

Sorry..... you really can't diagnose ulcer thru a scan
Plus abdominal pain in pregnancy is actually a No No.....
Please see a gynaecologist as soon as possible......
Plus your pregnancy is really early so whatever drug u take can affect your baby........

About asking if it's normal not to be showing by 22wks don't worry you will show......

Need advise on for a moma to be.

Did Scan yesterday and Baby's weight is 3.8kg
Today DR said Pelvic not big enough for VG delivery.

DR further said even if induced, Baby's head not down enough for push

DR now said come back Saturday for procedure, whereas EDD is still 31st and now week 38 based on Scan and LMP calculation.
Fear is that Baby would grow up to 4kg by 31st

What do you advise? Would like to learn from experience

There are other factors that determine the adequacy of the pelvis for Labour though the real test is Labour itself....
She should listen to her doctor and Yes baby would grow bigger as time goes further.....

She should see another doctor for confirmation of she's not satisfied but pls ....... she should listen to her doctor...........

I guess the procedure is a CS which is fine..... Goal is mother alive baby alive.... father with plenty money
