A Nigerian man identified as @Kenniezoid, has apologized after he was called out on social media for trying to blackmail a lady with her nudes. 

According to @adakunonso who called the man out, the nudes threatening Nigerian man was not in a relationship with the lady, but had consented sex with her. Her tweets read; 

This guy is threatening to blackmail a girl by posting her nudes on blog pages....I don’t know what stupid trend you guys have started but revenge porn is a serious crime....I won’t let this go

I’m going to protect the girl’s identity and expose his instead since he’s looking to be famous so badly

They were not dating...just started off as a consented thingy between them and this guy started demanding and demanding and she didn’t want to send anymore and he decided to threaten her to post the nudes if she didn’t send more nudes and sext him or phone Bleep him.

I am told this is not the first time or first girl.....Pls report all his accounts on twitter instagram and have him suspended so that he can go and carry cement at building site...when he goes home he would be too tired to be harassing girls for nudes...foolish fat goat

Look at the flimsy apology he sent to her...these are the kind of people that are very capable of rape if they get the opportunity...this apology won’t be accepted. He must give a well written apology and stating he won’t harass her for nudes or sec again

Big Brother Naija star, Bisola’s baby daddy, Olanrewaju Malcolm is reportedly dead. Bisola’s baby daddy who was a veteran artiste manager and promoter, passed away in the early hours of today, at Model Specialist Hospital, Surulere, Lagos, after a prolonged battle with a yet to be disclosed ailment.

Olanrewaju who died largely due to the paucity of funds for his medical bills, had initially shared a vague post about his health condition and how some friend were elated to see him improving. He wrote on Instagram before his death;

Big Brother Naija star, Tobi Bakre, in a new interview insisted that he didn't unfollow his fellow housemate Alex; but that he was blocked.


“I didn’t unfollow anybody; I was blocked and then she followed me back. I have never unfollowed anybody on my social media accounts before, I was blocked and then she followed me back,” he insisted.

The reality show star who also addressed rumours of buying Instagram followers, also disclosed his plans of becoming an actor.  According to Tobi, he was already into acting but chose not to talk much about the project.

“I am already into acting, but I cannot talk about my projects yet,” he simply told Saturday Beats

“No, I don’t buy Instagram likes and followers and I will never do that. I don’t want to comment much on that. I had about 25,000 before the Big Brother show and after BBA, I currently have about 867,000,” he said.

Recall that Alex have also reacted to reports of ending her friendship with Tobi. Just before she followed Tobi back on the social media platform, Alex posted a cryptic message on her story where she talked about people that matter in your life.

A Ghanaian pastor, Nicholas Obeng Nyame, who reportedly impregnated a traditional priestess and denied responsibility, has found himself in a big mess. 

Nyame who reportedly sneaks into the traditional priestess’ house to get intimate with her, began dating her after he offered her a lift some months back. Adomonline gathered that when their intimacy resulted in a pregnancy, the pastor denied being responsible and further the priestess to abort the baby.

The Traditional Priestess who refused having an abortion, went on to place a curse on the pastor for denying responsibility for the pregnancy. However an amicable resolution was reached, after Pastor Nyame informed the leadership of his church who later accompanied him for the settlement. 

The Priestess who stated that Nyame must accept the pregnancy and promise to marry her after she had delivered her baby, reversed the curse after the  pastor accepted the conditions. 

This is coming after a Ghanaian man of God, Prophet Nana Poku, sparked controversy on the internet after videos emerged where he engaged a woman in a long French kiss, and later claimed he had healed her of an ailment.

Prophet Poku who is based in South Africa and is the General Overseer of Kingdom Prayer Ministry International, made the headlines during a deliverance service where he locked lips with the woman as part of the deliverance he was conducting on her.

While other church members looked on, Prophet Poku is seen in the 28 seconds video footage kissing the woman deeply while one of the church elders kept shouting: "Yes Lord, Yes Lord." After kissing the woman, Prophet Poku is heard asking her:

"How are you feeling now?"

The incident has been causing a lot of debate with many saying that God can deliver a sick person using any unorthodox manner while some believe the Prophet is fake and using demonic powers for his healing.

A drunk policeman identified simply as Ola SARS, who turned up for a party organised on Thursday to mark Sallah celebration at Transformer Bus Stop, Adiyan, in Ogun State, reportedly shot his friend to death.

The deceased,  36-year-old Ayinde aka Aye, and the drunk policeman were invited to the party organized by the father of the youth leader of the community popularly known as Azeez Terror. It was gathered that by 7pm, Ola SARS who serves in Abuja began misbehaving under the influence of alcohol. He reportedly shot into the air intermittently and refused to yield to cautions by other guests. He wanted to pull the stunt again when a bullet struck Ayinde in the chest.

While Azeez Terror, his father and the policeman fled the scene, Punch's correspondent gathered that the father of two was rushed to a hospital, where he died. Youths of the community reportedly staged a protest which caused pandemonium in the neighbourhood, and it took the intervention of the police to restore normalcy.

Speaking on the incident, a resident of the area, Bidemi said;

 “It was Azeez Terror’s father that organised the party for Sallah celebration. It is a yearly event. The youth leader invited his friends including Ola SARS and Ayinde. I learnt Ola SARS works in Abuja. The party commenced in the afternoon and there was no issue until around 7pm.

“He started shooting into the air after he became drunk. Nobody provoked him. As he wanted to fire another shot into the air, he misfired and shot Ayinde in the chest. He bled profusely and was rushed to the hospital. He died shortly afterwards.

“As I speak with you, Azeez Terror, his father and the killer policeman are still at large. It was very sad. The deceased was an estate agent and had two kids. His wife has been inconsolable since yesterday (Thursday).”

A Nigerian lady who turned up with others to get her PVC, however deceived everyone present as she turned up with a fake pregnancy to get attended to before others. 

According to her, for over 4 days she struggled to get attended to but to no avail. However the fake pregnancy gave her an easy pass. Here is what she wrote below;

A 16-year-old housemaid has been left badly injured by her boss, Mrs. Darasimi Martins, who reportedly poured hot water on her for stealing eggs. 

The lady who was apprehended by police operatives attached to Olosan Division in Mushin, after the Child Protection Network (CPN) reported the case there, was arrested for one of several assaults the young girl had suffered from the Martins. 

The housemaid who was sent to buy six eggs but hid two on her return, was poured hot water on her face by her boss who assaulted her after she found out.

Arewa Youths in a new statement, alleged that the country was being pushed back to the political scenario of 2015, in which the South-West region dominated decision-making efforts on who should be Nigeria’s president.

According to Arewa Youths, the North was purportedly turned into a mere observer  by the South-West in who represents the region in the 2015 presidential election. The group said that the “historic” imposition made the northern region’s first four years, wasted years of poverty, hunger, unemployment, general underdevelopment and disturbing levels of stagnation.

The statement released by Arewa Youths National President, Alhaji Yerima Shettima on the South-West imposition reads;

“As a group of citizens from the North, who mince no words in speaking the truth every time, we are once again sounding a note of warning as follows:

“We will no longer tolerate the kind of imposition that brought the nation’s economy to knees and all we now get is empty propaganda instead of performance. This is an insult on the sensibilities of all Nigerians who struggled to drive away the military in order to pave way for democracy

“Even though the consensus is that power should reside within the North in 2019, we make bold to say no one should dare try to teleguide the region and its people this time around. Northerners have a right to their democratic aspirations and choice of a President and no one should try to usurp such constitutional power through the backdoor.

“We want to make it vary clear that the era of imposition of anyone on the North is gone. We are watching, very closely, the turn of events on Nigeria’s democratic space at the moment and won’t take any form of manipulation by people who know little or nothing about the kind of leadership the people of the North want.

“We cannot fathom why people outside the North should turn our region into their political experiment field, choosing a candidate who would take orders from them and abandon his own people’s wishes and aspirations.

“This is primitive, unacceptable and a smear on well-known democratic principles of a modern, independent nation that we have been in over 50 years.

“The earlier this shameful manipulation of our hopes in democracy is stopped, the better for our relationship with our neighbours. On no account should anyone take the North for granted again, especially on the matter of 2019 presidency. We are no fools and the world has come a long way from the era of political obscurantism and harmful patronage.

“We also find it disheartening that the Northwest is now slowly going into the hands of toxic political class, whose political madness has now reached alarming levels. How else can anyone, in his right senses, explain the emergence of Nine(9) presidential candidates all from one geopolitical zone? What has gone wrong with the North’s sense of decency in politics?

“Imagine the exemplary style of the Northeast, which has just two candidates! Isn’t that a lesson for the scattered and uncoordinated Northwest? If this mess is not tackled, the next generation of Northern political leaders will never forgive us for being so callous and reckless politics. And we won’t fold our arms and watch this happen.

“We also declare that our plans are already in top gear, to use all constitutional means to protect the integrity of the North by stopping those political merchants from elsewhere who are turning our region into their experimental guinea pig. We have overlooked this political subjugation in 2015, to give democracy a chance and also not to jeopardise the alliance between the North and its neighbours. But now that there are deliberate efforts by some political merchants to repeat the same ridiculous manipulation, we are telling them that it’s no longer possible.

“There are so many ways of promoting the deepening of democracy in Nigeria, but open and shameless manipulation is not one of them. We hope this message would serve as a final warning to those plotting for the imposition of their lackeys as presidents for selfish political gains. We have heard enough of this insult on the North just because some self-centred political marauders are being driven by the hunger for absolute power. Enough is enough.”

Nigerian Presidential aspirant Olasubomi Okeowo, who indicated interest to contest in the 2019 Presidential election, has pulled out following a controversial interview with Laila Johnson Salami  and Falz.


Presidential aspirant, Mr Olasubomi Okeowo of The African Democratic Congress Party (ADCP), had stated in the interview that Nigerians are not created to produce because they are blacks. Announcing his new decision of not contesting on Instagram, he wrote;

Maybe we should see things from another perspective. As much as I and my campaign team have not called any Nigerian unproductive or say that the black man cannot produce anything, myself have only said invariably we should focus on our strength and come together as a people to resolve our needs. If anyone is angered, let them turn the anger into productivity and show us all it can be done. As much as I don't lay claim to know it all, I will Honorably stand down to allow a more qualified candidate go for the post. I regret any speech that may sound derogatory and want to use this opportunity to wish Nigeria and Nigerians well.

I agree with you and I am equally pained. I did not mean we can't do great things as Nigerians, I just wanted us to maintain focus and shift energy to the right places. Sorry if I offended you. I am about to issue a statement apologizing to our youth

A suspected illegal immigrant, has been arrested in Owerri by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Imo State Command. 

The suspected illegal immigrant identified as Sunday Djimekou from Togo, was apprehended on Thursday along Okigwe road in the Owerri metropolis following a a tip-off. Mr Raji Ibrahim, the NSCDC State commandant, who paraded the suspect at the NSCDC headquarters, Owerri, on Saturday, said upon interrogation, Sunday Djimekou confessed to being an an illegal immigrant.

“The eagle-eyed operatives of the corps found out that he is not a Nigerian. It was also found that he is in the country and Imo State precisely without any document or papers of genuine entry into the country, therefore he is an illegal immigrant,” Ibrahim said.

Ibrahim who stated that the agency would not relent in fighting crimes in the state and the country at large, added that Djimekou came into the country in 2000 and Imo State on June 6, 2005.

“We are not going to rest on our oars in ensuring that the mandates for which the agency was established are achieved,” Ibrahim added.

“The arrest of Djimekou would serve as a deterrent to others in the state,” he said.

According to the NSCDC commandant, the suspect would be handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service for appropriate actions. Djimekou on his own part, said he came into the country in 2000 on the invitation of a Nigerian, whose name he did not give.

“I came into Nigeria with one man in 2000, who invited me to work in his house in Lagos. I am a tiler. So, when I finished the work, another man that I met while in Lagos promised he would establish me in Imo State because of my good work.

“He is a politician and he was the one that brought me to Owerri in 2005, where I have been working since then,” the suspect said.

Punch gathered that he confessed that he did not have any authorized documents to be in the country.

Today, we all woke to the shocking report of the demolition of the music house/radio station (Fresh FM, Ibadan), owned by broadcaster and singer, Yinka Ayefele. 

Before the building got demolished, the edifice had in its belly, two magnificent halls, an internet radio station, a standard studio and several offices. It also provided job for about 100 people and that placed it among top employers of labor in Oyo State.

The First Indigenous Abuja Catholic Priest,  Rev Fr Micheal Akawu, was killed by suspected armed robbers while shopping. 

The deceased who only became a priest in February 2017, was killed by armed robbers in Gwagwalada Abuja Yesterday at a supermarket where he was buying items for the use of the Church. Friends and loved ones have been penning down tributes to the First Indigenous Abuja Catholic Priest on social media.

MICHAEL AKAWU was the first Abuja indigene to be ordained a priest for the Abuja Catholic Archdiocese(according to information from a reliable source))He was ordained last year as I learnt...He was killed by armed robbers in Gwagwalada Abuja Yesterday at a supermarket where he was buying items for the use of the Church...Rest in Peace... May those who slaughtered you because of material things be punished for this dastardly crime against humanity... Nigeria has failed as a nation state and has gone to the dogs and baboons....

Yesterday, hundreds of women suspected to be members of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), protested in Owerri, the Imo State capital, demanding the whereabouts of the missing IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kalu. They equally demanded a referendum for an Independent state of Biafra by the Federal Government.

The woman adorned in black attire with Biafra insignia such as flags and caps sang pro Biafra songs. They accused the Federal Government of “deliberately marginalising Biafran people”.

Trouble started at the Government House roundabout, Owerri, when policemen on sighting the demonstrators fired teargas canisters at them. The women defied the police action and continued with their march.

At Warehouse Junction, policemen in operational vehicles intercepted the women, fired another round of teargas canisters and arrested many of them.

Media personality and rapper, Charlamagne, has called out Fox News for using the photo of Patti LaBelle in Aretha Franklin tribute.

Obituaries chronicled her life of both public success and private hardship and her career as one of the greatest gospel, jazz, blues, R&B and pop singers to grace the world, often while touching on her impact on the civil rights movement and feminism. And then there was Fox News, which used a photo of Philadelphia-native singer Patti LaBelle in its eulogy.

Reacting to the report, Charlamagne wrote;

So @foxnews can identify all the individuals in these mayonnaise flavored mugshots but can’t tell the difference between Queen Patti and Queen Aretha


The news platform has however issued an apology on the mistake.

“We sincerely apologize to Aretha Franklin’s family and friends,” media desk vice president Jessica Santostefano said in a statement.

Then Santostefano continued: “Our intention was to honor the icon using a secondary image of her performing with Patti LaBelle in the full screen graphic, but the image of Ms. Franklin was obscured in that process, which we deeply regret,” she said.

However some called out Fox’s apology as a poorly crafted excuse. Others just lashed out at the network for making the mistake altogether.

The EFCC has reacted to claims that the agency's boss, Ibrahim Magu's Chief of Staff is under an investigation over bribery and unlawful enrichment.

According to the EFCC, the publications against Ibrahim Magu's Chief of Staff is the handiwork of mischief makers who are out to impugn the hard earned reputation of Mr. Olukoyede for reasons that are not clear.

The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has been drawn to a news report entitled, Magu's Chief of Staff Under Investigation for Bribery and Unalwful Enrichment, which was published by online news platforms, First Weekly Magazine, and Nigeriannewsdirect, alleging that Mr. Ola Olukoyede, Chief of Staff to Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman EFCC, is under investigation for alleged corruption.

The publications purports that Mr. Olukoyede defrauded some prominent "Nigerian(sic)...under the guise of assisting (sic) to curry (sic) from his boss, Ibrahim Magu." It went on to list an unnamed former Niger a State governor and a prominent Chief from the southwest among his alleged victims. The latter, the publications claimed, lost N100m to the Chief of Staff!

The salacious claims continued with the strange revelation that EFCC "discovered a mind-boggling amount of money in his personal accounts", which supposedly forced the Vice President to order an internal probe.
The icing was the disclosure that Mr. Olukoyede was detained and thereafter placed on suspension.

The narrative and the issues raised are strange to the EFCC. As far as the Commission is concerned, Mr. Ola Olukoyede is not under any investigation and could, therefore, not have been detained or suspended. The Commission has no record of any petition by anybody calling into question the integrity of the Chief of Staff. So stories about a former governor or a prominent south west chief accusing him of wrong doing are at best fictional.

Consequently, the Commission is inclined to dismiss these publications as the handiwork of mischief makers who are out to impugn the hard earned reputation of Mr. Olukoyede for reasons that are not clear.

The Commission consequently enjoins members of the public to disregard the publication for what it is : fake news!

Yul Edochie is shaking tables;

A Turkish club, Gulspor which is based in the city of Isparta and one of the oldest clubs in Turkey as it was founded in 1954, have sold 18 youth players whose sale money they used in buying 10 goats in a bid to earn ‘extra money from milk sales’ which will be used to serve the club’s priority needs. 

Kenan Buyuklebleb, the Turkish club President, stated that the decision to buy goats was caused by lack of available finance as there is no essential governmental or sponsorship investment for Turkish youth teams performing in lower leagues. 

The club earned 15,000 Turkish lira (almost $2,600) after selling 18 youth players and plans to have around 5,000 lira ($863) profit from milk sales to cover the club’s expenses. Gulspor, based in southern city Isparta, plan to sell the goats' milk and meat - and increase their flock to 140 by 2024.

“We must have a constant income,” Buyuklebleb told CNN Turkey. “Funds are overloaded because there is no government or corporate group support for our clubs. We need to get more investment for the kids (competing for the club).”

“We got 10 goats. It will be a source of income for the youngsters,” Buyuklebleb said, adding that he acted in the interests of the team. “We think that breeding goats is profitable. We have bought them to raise better young players.”

“We expect to have 4,000-5,000 lira profit. At the same time, the number of goats will increase. At the end of six years, we are planning to have 140 goats for the club,” he added.

28-year-old man, Kelvin Michael has been arrested by the Ogun State Police over the death of his married lover Monsurat Idowu.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, after one Benjamin Okereke of the Ota General Hospital, reported to the police that the suspect brought Monsurat to the hospital dead. While Okereke reportedly told the police that the suspect could not explain how the woman died, the police through their investigation alleged that Monsurat died after she had a  “marathon sex” with Michael.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who told newsmen that the suspect claimed to have met his married lover last month in a bus at Ketu, Lagos State, where they exchanged phone numbers, added; 

“When the Divisional Police Officer, Onipanu Police Division, Sangobiyi Johnson, got the report, he led his men to the hospital where the suspect was promptly arrested,” the Ogun State PPRO said.

“The suspect told the police that he invited her to the house of his friend in Ota where the deceased slumped and died shortly after they had sex.

“The police contacted Monsurat’s husband, Lamidi Idowu, who is a commercial bus driver" the police spokesperson added. 

Punch reported that Lamidi told the police that he left his wife in the house hale and hearty while going to work, wondering what might have led to her untimely death. Monsurat’s corpse had been deposited in a mortuary for autopsy, as the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had also ordered the transfer of the case to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Eleweran.

A Nigerian man identified as Friday Uko, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing his pregnant wife, Patience Uko.

The Nigerian who reportedly pushed his 3-month-old pregnant wife, Patience, on the 14th August, 2014, because she took N1000 from his pocket and used it to cook food for their seven children, was handed the death sentence by an Akwa Ibom State High Court, sitting in Ikot Ekpene after Justice Ntong Ntong found him guilty of the crime.

Justice Ntong who stated that the instant death of Patience showed the intention to kill and the force the husband exerted in pushing his wife down, expressed displeasure that a pregnant wife who should have been pampered and cared for by her husband was killed by the same man.

“The accused pushed his wife down having known that she was pregnant and that he ought to know that a pregnant woman ought to be pampered and treated with love and not violence.

“The case is straightforward and that the accused had told the court through his extrajudicial statement that he caused the death of his wife by kicking her because of misunderstanding over N1,000. Anyone who unlawfully kills another is entitled to face the law,” the judge held.

While the convict whose lawyer was not available to defend him pleaded for mercy to enable him go home and take care of his children, the Judge held on to Uko being hanged until he his confirmed dead.

A Nigerian lady who recently met her school mate who is now Keke rider (tricycle rider), took to Twitter to share her experience. 

According to Nigerian lady, she fought with her school mate while still in school and the scar she left him with gave him away. However she added that the man was shy, because he turned out to become a Keke Rider. 

She further disclosed that she ended up making the man feel comfortable with her, and didn't rubbing her riches in his face. Read her tweets below;

Nollywood actress, Damilola Adegbite, whose marriage of 2 years to Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh ended in 2017, has a message for men who toy with women's emotions. 


Damilola Adegbite who disclosed that karma always comes around, said some men are the ones creating monsters and she doesn't feel sorry for them when she 'hear women are showing them pepper'.

Few days ago, we reported that a suspected kidnapper who took tramadol as he attempted to kidnap a pharmacy owner, slept off at his victim's house. 

In a new update released by the Police, it has been gathered that suspect whose identity is yet to be confirmed by the Ondo State Police Command, was still sleeping six days after he was taken into custody.

The suspect who took tramadol, was arrested by men of the command on Sunday as he and three other members of his gang attempted to kidnap a pharmaceutical shop owner in Owo town. The victim of the attack had raised an alarm and escaped through the back door, when the three-man gang stormed the shop with guns with the intention of kidnapping him. 

Though the suspect had tried to escape on a motorcycle he reportedly snatched from a customer of the shop owner, however he stumbled while he was trying to ride it while other members of the gang were said to have taken to their heels.

The Ondo State Police Command disclosed that a 400mg tablet of Tramadol was recovered from the pocket of the sleeping suspect, which raised the suspicion that he must have taken the drug before he went for the operation.

Speaking to Punch's correspondent, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph disclosed that the suspect is still being watched to know if he is pretending. 

“As of today (Friday), the suspect had yet to wake up. Maybe he took too much of the drug, that is why he is still sleeping. We have tried all we could to make him regain his consciousness to no avail.

“However, we are still watching him to find out if he is pretending. We are with him and he would face the music no matter how long he is unconscious" he said.

Juliana Olayode a.k.a Toyo Baby, who during the week announced that her parents who had been separated for 17 years are back together, has recounted the challenges she faced throughout the period. 

According to Juliana Olayode, the reconciliation of their separated parents started after her elder sisters called for a meeting between her dad and her mom. She added that at first, she thought it wouldn't work. She had written on Instagram;

“I know that my Rebirth Fam would be able to relate more with what I am about to share. Gosh, where do I start? My heart is racing. I still can’t believe it. I have prayed for it to happen for 17 years. At some point, I stopped praying about it because nothing changed, things only got worse.

"My elder sisters called for a meeting, and between us, we wanted to reconcile my mum and dad but we didn’t tell them about it. I was so afraid. I wondered if they would come or if our plans to bring them back together would work. So, three days before the meeting, I started praying about it. I started imagining them together. I was just doing everything by faith.

“On Sunday morning, I had cold feet. I was so afraid. “God, please do it this time”, was my prayer when I entered my late sister’s house for the meeting. It was a VERY long process but they made up. They hugged each other and looked into each other’s eyes and started laughing. Then my mum started crying and my siblings and I joined in the tears of joy.

"I’m still in shock.

"So fam, wedding bells are ringing;

"There is nothing God cannot do. Don’t stop praying. Don’t stop believing. He will do it in his own time…

"I join my faith with everyone whose parents are divorced or separated for whatever reason and I declare that the same God who answered my prayer after 17 years will do yours if you so desire (Amen)”

However in a new chat with Saturday Beats, Juliana Olayode disclosed how how she and her siblings have always wanted their parents to come back together.

“My parents were not aware of the whole plan; they didn’t know they were going to see each other and we are happy they eventually reconciled.

“Like I said in my book, it was very difficult not seeing my parents together. Going to school and coming back to meet only mummy or Daddy; I have always prayed about it as a child, that was always my little prayer to God. It happened when I stopped trusting God about it and I just believed that in God’s time, he would make it happen, and I am happy they reconciled" she said.

Falz who had reacted to the NBC ban on his song 'This is Nigeria' which they say contains vulgar words, has threatened to sue the agency a day after he shared a letter which revealed that a Radio Station in Jos was fined for playing the song. 

The call for the song's ban had first been made by MURIC, who claimed that some ladies in hijab were dancing Shaku Shaku and they believed it was against the Islamic religion, but their pleas fell on deaf ears. However announcing the song's ban this week, the NBC said; 

This is Nigeria, look how we living now. Everybody be criminal,” stating that it made the song vulgar and it was in contravention of Section 3.6.1 and 3.13.2.2 of its constitution.

Falz who disclosed that he felt it was ridiculous for the commission to ban the song, argued that it was not a vulgar song but a socially conscious piece of art which addresses the current issues in the country.

In his Interview with Saturday Beats, Falz said; 

“There is absolutely nothing vulgar about the song and I think it is ridiculous that the Nigerian Broadcast Commission singled out the least vulgar line in the song and ascribed it to be the reason they banned the song. It is a very simple and clean song. The only thing is that I was very blunt about the way I talk about things. I do not know maybe some messages in the song hit them and that is the real reason they banned the song. The line was, ‘This is Nigeria, look how we living now. Everybody be criminal.’ If they ban this song, then I do not understand them because that song is definitely not a vulgar song.”

He also stated that he he does not know if there was any conspiracy to ensure that the song never enjoyed airwaves, but he was aware that the song could have hit some nerves of certain people. Falz added that his lawyers will be investigating why his song was banned. 

“I do not know if the fact that some group wanted me to retract the song is linked with this new development but I know that there were a lot of messages in the song and it is hitting a lot of people in the wrong places and that is what is making them react in that manner. However, there was absolutely no basis for the NBC to ban that song. I am going to have to write to them through my lawyers to find out what is really going on. When I find out the reason behind the ban, I could ask them to lift it if need be and if they do not adhere to my request, I might have to seek legal redress,” he said.

Joselyn Dumas who had been linked to now married actor, John Dumelo, has confirmed that they dated for two years before their relationship packed up.

According to the Ghanaian actress who sat for an interview with Abeiku Santana on UTV’s, they started dating after being co-casts in some movies together. She added that they broke up despite the fact that they were crazily in love.

The mother of one who has starred in movies like ‘A Sting in a Tale,’ ‘Adams Apple,’ ‘Love or Something Like That,’ among others, said;

“John and I dated for two years. We were both crazy characters and after featuring together in three movies, we decided to go out.”

However it should be recalled that Joselyn Dumas who was one of the celebrities who graced John Dumelo’s wedding few months ago, had stated in an interview on Peace FM in 2014 that she could not date John Dumelo, citing that both of them were in showbiz. According to her then, the relationship between them was purely professional.

“I don’t understand what you mean by asking if John Dumelo is my ideal man. But what I can say is that he is a very creative actor, ambitious and a gentleman. I don’t know what you mean by that but I have made it my policy not to date an industry person; and John and I find ourselves in the same showbiz industry,” she said.

On the other hand, it has also been reported that John Dumelo met his wife through Nadia Buari.  She is said to be a close friend of Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari. That was however not the first time John Dumelo and Mawunya were reported to be a couple. In September 2017, a picture of them surfaced while they were on vacation in Dubai but the lady's name was unknown at the time.

Aides of a Kenyan governor on Monday, reportedly assaulted a lady who insisted on serving a court order barring the county government from demolishing her business premises.

The lady identified as Wambui Wa Githurai, had gone to the Kiambu county governor’s office to furnish the county officer, with a court order but encountered resistance from Governor Ferdinand Waititu's security aides, who refused her access.

An eyewitness who narrated the story on Facebook wrote;

“Lady from Kiambu county, Wambui Wa Githurai went to the governor’s office to personally serve him with a court order restraining his goons from vandalising her premises and carting away her merchandise. It’s apparent Kiambu people were duped into electing a goon. To attack our women in public offices is unacceptable, despicable and an affront to our dignity as a royal county.”

While the incident has sparked social media outrage with residents of Kiambu and Kenyans condemning Waititu’s administration for perpetrating violence against women, it was gathered that Githurai had earlier in the month on her Facebook page condemned the actions of the government, who had destroyed her shop.

She wrote;

I travelled to Mombasa for niece's burial yesterday night only to be called today that there are people who are destroying my small container at Githurai 45.
They had Kiambu County Vehicles.
They have carried away my container worth 90k and destroyed the display. Inside were phones worth 150,000shs. Accessories worthy 75,000 ksh

A lady who has been pregnant for over 4 years, has welcomed a baby girl just after her husband left her for another lady. According to online sources, the husband of the lady said he can't be a husband to a woman who is pregnant of water and doesn't deliver it.

While receiving the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Audu Ogbeh at his Daura palace on Monday, the Emir of Daura, Dr. Umar Faruq Umar announced that the people from the President Muhammadu Buhari's hometown are hungry and not getting enough from the Federal Government.

The minister was in Daura to flag-off the rehabilitation of an “erosion-prone” road linking Daura to Tambu-Makasauro Village of Daura Local Government Area of the state. The road rehabilitation project is being executed by the Federal Government, in collaboration with the International Fund for a agricultural Development (IFAD).

The Emir of Daura, Dr. Umar Faruq Umar, who noted that Buhari’s Ministers were not doing enough to assist his hometown, Daura with viable projects, urged Ministers appointed by Buhari to reciprocate the gesture by coming to the aid of the people of his constituents through developmental projects and farm inputs.

He said, “Buhari by his nature will not influence the siting of any projects in Daura. But his Ministers who benefitted from his appointment should reciprocate by bringing developmental projects to Daura, his birthplace.

“It is a call to duty for the Ministers to make provision in their Ministry’s budget of ensuring that Daura benefitted immensely from Buhari administration.

“If the Ministers failed to site any projects to Daura, they have betrayed the President and people of Daura.

“Like the Rice production in Kebbi State. Katsina has prospects in rice production and irrigation farming.

“Katsina has dams and irrigation sites like Sabke, Jibia, Zobe, Daberan, Mai Ruwa dams and if utilized and reciprocated has potentials of feeding the state and it’s neighbours.

“I urge you to go back, look inwards and search for what, how you can assist people of Daura. Daura is faced with the absence of projects for its development and its people are hungry and need federal government assistance.”

A fresh Lassa Fever Outbreak in Enugu State has left one dead, as confirmed by the State Government on Monday.

However the State's Commissioner for Health, Dr. Fintan Ekochin who confirmed the Lassa Fever Outbreak in a press statement, told residents of the state that there is no need for panic as people in contact with the deceased before his death, have been placed on drugs known to prevent the spread of the virus if started early.
