According to the lady identified as Ada Rocky, the man even tried to meet up with her in Atlanta in November 2018. She further pleaded karma on him. The lady who shared photos of the man and his wife, asked him to respect his family and his wife.

A Nigerian man who recounted an incident that occurred in his 'weirdest night', revealed that his penis saved him from going to jail and also cheating on his girlfriend he described as his 'one and only'.

The management of Bowen University has expelled 29 students and further suspended 26 others indefinitely over an alleged anti-social behaviour.

Baba De Baba who shared a photo of a domestic violence victim on Instagram, stated that 'Ladies must accept to be submissive to men that bought them'.

According to the comedian who was under fire few months ago over his rape skit, the only time a lady is free to misbehave and go free is if she's cohabiting with a man that has not paid her dowry. Baba De Baba further disclosed that he will be will be the 'first to give out his daughter without giving the guy dowry list, so that he will know that they are equal'.

Akinwunmi Ambode will become the first Lagos Governor to miss out on Abuja mansion, just after he lost out on his second term bid.


Punch gathered that the Public Office Holder (Payment of Pension) Law No 11 official Gazette of Lagos State, 2007 states that former governors of Lagos State are entitled to a house in Lagos and Abuja in any location of their choice. However the law further added that any governor who does not serve for two consecutive terms, will only be entitled to a house in Lagos.

Section 2 states, “One residential house each for the governor and the deputy governor at any location of their choice in Lagos State and one residential house in the Federal Capital Territory for the governor on two consecutive terms.”

Ambode who will not be returning to the Alausa Governor’s Office on May 29, 2019, following his loss to Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the All Progressives Congress governorship primary in October, will become the first Lagos Governor not to get a house in Abuja.

A quick check revealed that no actual figure was placed on amount to spent in building houses for Governors, however it was learnt building houses for former governors of Lagos costs between N500m and N1bn.  It was also gathered that a  house was bought for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Ikoyi and the Asokoro area of Abuja next to the Lagos State Governor’s Lodge.

The construction of a “section” of the house of the immediate past Deputy Governor, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, on 15 Cameron Drive, Ikoyi, costs the state N329,929,551, according to the Lagos State budget of 2014.

Though losing out on the Abuja mansion, Ambode will however be entitled to a house in any location in Lagos State, six brand new cars every three years, 100 per cent of the basic salary of the serving governor, (N7.7m per annum) free health care for himself and members of his family, furniture allowance, which is 300 per cent of their annual basic salary (N23.3m); house maintenance allowance, which is 10 per cent of basic salary (N778, 296); utility allowance, which is 20 per cent of the salary (N1.5m) and car maintenance allowance, which is 30 per cent of the annual basic salary (N2.3m).

Other benefits include entertainment allowance, which is 10 per cent of the basic salary (N778,296) and a personal assistant, who will earn 25 per cent of the governor’s annual basic salary (N1.9m). The former Governor is also entitled to domestic workers comprising a cook, a steward, a gardener and others whose appointments are pensionable,  eight policemen and two officials of the Department of State Services for life, according to the Lagos law.

The current Lagos Governor would have missed out on all these, if he removed from office by the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Hakeem Effect, the popular make-up artist in Nollywood, has disclosed that his special effects scare him at night.

The make-up artist who disclosed that he didn’t have to go through any formal training to acquire it, but learnt the art via divine inspiration through a series of dreams, told Saturday Beats;

“Sometimes, after I have built a body prosthetic, and I wake up in the middle of the night to do something, I usually forget I was the one that built the body, so I get scared a little bit. When such occurrences take place, I just calm myself down.

“Interestingly, my children are already used to my works, so even sometimes, when they see a real incident similar to some of my effects, they call my attention to it. I always tell them that every scary thing they see on the road is not a special effect. Nothing can scare my children; they are used to seeing blood and horrible things because I create some of my effects at home.

“The only thing I can say that scares me is death. I usually think that all these struggles to survive, just to take care of my family and all the knowledge acquired and fame, at the end of it all, we are all going to die one day. However, it is better to work towards your destiny even if death is going to come at the end of the day than staying idle doing nothing.”

According to Hakeem Effect, his most challenging and memorable effect was when he had to transform people to look like Nelson Mandela and President Muhammadu Buhari.

“When I was a child, I had it in mind that I would be a great actor; I never knew I would go into special effects at all. I ventured into the movie industry 12 years ago and I started as an actor. But I can’t act again; I can only go into movie production. However, man proposes, but God disposes.

“Interestingly, I learnt this art in dreams; I didn’t have any form of training to acquire this skill. I started improving the skill as time went on. I was 28 years old when I used to have the dreams; I always tell people that they shouldn’t try to compete with anyone in life.

“I used to paint as a child, my parents are very proud of me. I am the only one (out of my parents’ children) that didn’t have the opportunity to attend a university, but despite that, everything still turned out well.

“Every job has its own challenges; most of my jobs that impress people are the jobs I have experimented with on my own before using them for movies. I experiment a lot. My most memorable effect would be transforming some people into President Muhammadu Buhari and Nelson Mandela. I’ll never forget these works because it is not easy to replicate someone,” he said.

The economy is in a bad shape, as disclosed by President Buhari during a meeting with Governors at the State house in Abuja. 

Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Abdulaziz Yari,  who addressed State House correspondents after the meeting which had governors of the 36 states of the federation at the present, said the President told them to tighten their belts.

Yari who disclosed that the governors commended Buhari for releasing the Paris club funds to them without any discrimination, said; 

“The President responded by thanking and telling us that the economy is in bad shape and that we have to come together and thinking and rethinking on way forward.”

Did Linda Ikeji fake her engagement, that is the question most Nigerians have been asking since her Sholaye Jeremi dumping revelation.



Recall that we reported earlier that Linda Ikeji disclosed that her baby daddy dumped her and became so wicked to her, after she got pregnant for him. 

However at some point in her lengthy disclosure, she stated that they planned a traditional marriage but never disclosed if she got proposed to by her estranged baby daddy. She further disclosed that they will never married. She wrote;

Father Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has fired back at his critics and further stated that God deserves money after he was called out over the viral video in which he was spotted trying to compel the Vice-Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi, during the annual harvest and bazaar celebration of the church to disclose how much he would donate to his church project.

Father Mbaka who stated that the bazaar day is strictly for raising of funds and that is the only time his church asks for donations, said; 

“There are some people who are ingrates. These are people from the kingdom of succubus and Incubus. I want to tell you that all these things are caused by jealousy and envy. They are not fighting Mbaka for anything wrong.

“Everyone who came was blessed but they turned it against me, saying I am after money. God deserves money. If you don’t want to bring your own in your stinginess, hold it. I will give God all that I have and even if anybody wants to join them, you’re free to join them.

“Where God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are, there Fr. Mbaka will be. I will build this place for the church. Whoever felt insulted, I apologise. But I didn’t come to your house. It was you who came for the bazaar.”

Father Mbaka who subsequently asked God to punish his detractors and those “firing arrows at him”, added that all those fighting him were fighting God. Though he did not mention Obi’s name, however the controversial priest said any politician who had donated money to his ministry was free to send his or her bank account number and he would gladly return the donation.

He added, “As for me, I am in high spirits. I want to assure you, those who are thinking that it is their money we will use to build this ministry, before the end of tomorrow, I will send all their monies into their accounts.”

On why he demanded money from Obi publicly, Father Mbaka told Punch that he wanted the process of donation to be open and transparent so that no one would accuse him of diverting funds.

“We do it outside, publicly because if I am silent, rumours will begin to spread that someone gave me $10m and why did Mbaka keep quiet? They will abuse me even if I am silent because anytime they want to attack this ministry, they will start somewhere.

“If I am silent they will attack, if I talk, they will attack it. And don’t forget that the liturgy was not tampered with. I finished the mass and even removed my priestly attire. No one can fault me on that" he said.

However in a two-and-half hour worldwide radio broadcast from Israel, Nnamdi Kanu who stated that Buhari was not cloned, maintained that his message to the world has always been that President Buhari was ‘dead’ and was replaced by another individual, Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani, as a double.

“We are going to dismantle the lies of Lai Mohammed and his brother (Senator Ajayi Borroffice), who claims he holds a doctorate degree in genetics and said nobody can clone a 75-yr-old.

“Lai Mohammed re-echoed that sentiment. If you’re not intelligent enough, you will think that Nnamdi Kanu said Buhari was cloned into Jubril (a Sudanese).

“That was not what I said. I said Jubril is an impostor. They (the cabal) brought him in to act and behave like the ‘dead’ Buhari. I never said he was cloned.

“The introduction of cloning into the narrative was a ploy to confuse the people.

“I am very grateful that the Sudanese government are doing something about this by investigating the matter.

“It must be mentioned that the mastermind of the fraud of Jibril is Abba Kyari. Has anyone seen him recently?" he said.

Nnamdi Kanu who also slammed Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, over a purported reluctance on his part to tell Nigerians the ‘truth’ about his principal,  accused the presidency of shielding the President from getting into close proximity with the troops during his recent visit to Maiduguri so as not to blow his cover as a ‘fake’.

“Osinbajo is a coward that is why he is not President. Dora Akunyili sacrificed her life that Jonathan may become president. Without what she did, nobody had the mettle to speak the truth.

“Akunyili came and told everybody the truth that Yar’Adua was dead. What they (the cabal) are doing now was perfected then,” he added.

Maje Ayida is reportedly dating a lady that looks like ex-wife Toke Makinwa and she has been identified as Yinka Mathews.

Maje's new date is not only fair complexioned, she has a petite figure like Toke. Multiple sources alleged that the burn survivor, Yinka is an interior designer and dated Maje some years ago but the affair was on and off before they called it off and started dating again in 2018.

The Cross River Government who pledged $3m for water sanitation at the Global Citizen Festival which was held in South Africa yesterday, has been called out for reportedly embarrassing themselves on world stage as it was gathered that water board staff in the state are allegedly protesting over salaries they are owed.

A representative of the Cross River Government who announced the State Government's pledge of $3m for water sanitation at the Global Citizen Festival, disclosed that they will be committing the said amount 'every year for the next 5 years'. She also called on other states in Nigeria to join in the fight for global health.

However few months ago, Vanguard reported that workers of the Cross River Geographic Information Agency, CRGIA, and Cross River State Water Board Limited, CRWBL, Calabar, who were thrown out of their homes by their landlords for inability to pay house rent currently sleep in uncompleted buildings and churches.

Some of the affected workers owed a backlog of 15-18 months salaries by the state government were also dragged to court by the landlords. The angry workers of the two agencies who barricaded the Governor’s Office, Calabar, said they were exhausted. They noted that different government officials had promised them that something would be done when the arrears were about six months, only to surprisingly renege and now, it has soared to 15 months for CRGIA and 18 months for CRWBL workers.

BBC and AFP journalists, Anna Cunningham and Phil Hazelwood have called out Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina for allegedly 'lying' that the military does not disclose figure of casualties in an attack. 

We reported that Femi Adesina who was a guest on Channels TV last night, addressed the controversy surrounding the Metele Boko Haram attack which left over 100 Nigerian soldiers dead. Femi Adesina who is President Buhari’s senior special assistant on media and publicity stated that all over the world, the military does not or rarely disclose the figure of casualties.

However reacting to this BBC and AFP journalists who disclosed that have been invited to countries like US, Canada, Australia and others for press briefing about military casualties, also shared links of such disclosure.

I have reported on the funerals of soldiers who died in Iraq and Afghanistan. The media were invited to cover the funeral services.Those deaths were made known by the MOD with permission from next of kin.
