PoliticsRe: Why Africa Is Under-developed, By Clinton by lewa(m): 2:30pm On Jul 19, 2006
@buchio7
Please! When we had the chance has a collective nation to move foward what happened?June 12 was annulled
and the powers that be just looked. John Major and Clinton were the first to acknowledge Abachas junta. So what underdevelopment are they saying? For years they the west supported Eyadema, Mobutu,Kamuzu Banda,Houphet Biogny to the detriment of the people they ought to serve. All this is rhetoric. Clinton is great, i love him and respect his charisma annd oratorial prowess but hes foreign policy still didnt reflect the great stuff he could have done. Though he tried for middle east peace.
PoliticsRe: Governor Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia State, for President? by lewa(m): 2:20pm On Jul 19, 2006
@bialegend
I know how you feel passionate about OKs candidature, but please corroborate
your facts before publishing them in forums as this.OK never finished schooling from University of Maiduguri and the people you called mallams that ruled us-IBB,Shagari, Abubakar all speak better english and the military guys went to military academies.Who told you yorubas dont support a S/E presidency?Have you heard of the S/S forum headed by Chief MT Mbu with Dr Dejo Raimi as secretary? I personally think OK is a mediocre Ndigbo has far more better candidates so please lets move on. smiley
PoliticsRe: Why Africa Is Under-developed, By Clinton by lewa(m): 6:02am On Jul 19, 2006
@emeka83
quite myopic of you. lets address the question and please dont make generalizations,
seems you are frustrated?abi?what has staying in chicago got to do with with underdevelopment in the third world?

PoliticsRe: Who Is Chris Uba? by lewa(m): 10:47pm On Jul 18, 2006
For all you know the guy spent a billion naira ($100million) to make sure PDP retained control of the S/E.
By that he turned himself into somewhat a king maker. He has two older brothers-one is a senior special assistant to OBJ and the other a senator of the Federal Republic.Hes got more than enough to be on Forbes list.gotta go on but wouuld tell you a little i know about his earliest millions$$).Despise him though
PoliticsRe: Why Africa Is Under-developed, By Clinton by lewa(m): 10:40pm On Jul 18, 2006
yea but did he support june 12? hell no!dont lets kid ourselves our help cometh not from america or uk but within. thats why i salute my brothers -hugo chavez and evo morales. the time is now-yankees foreign policy is subjugative-where and who have they helped?their selfish interest comes first. sorry for the block letters.
PoliticsRe: Uk Returns Stolen Assets To Nigeria by lewa(m): 10:34pm On Jul 18, 2006
Way to go,but more stolen illegitimate wealth kept in banks not only in UK but in safe havens as Geneva, Monaco and Luxembourg must all be returned. The G8 if they do this they can keep their neo-colonial aid.Africa would be ok. But would they?
EducationRe: The Best University In Nigeria? by lewa(m): 6:55pm On Jul 18, 2006
What postgraduate programmes are in Lautech? How many PHds has Lautech produced?
Your school was setup in 1989 and since inception it has battled with a myriad of problems
notable funding(i hear its mainly Oyo that is doing her part),accreditation of adacemic programmes(undergraduate),
infrastructure etc.I understand your sense of patriotism, its understandable but misdirected.Maybe in another 30 years
we can talk of Lautech- when she would have had capacity to produce postgraduate students, produce her own indigenous Vice Chancellor(College president) and have equally envied labs, libraries.institutes of research etc.Until then-get to work
PoliticsRe: Can Otunba Dipo Dina Govern Ogun State by lewa(m): 6:35pm On Jul 18, 2006
Dina can never win Daniel in any election. Not that Daniel performed incredibly, but that hes got the whole
state in his pocket-he spread his appointments to cover the senatorial districts and unlike Osoba hes accessible,
not haughty.Daniel would have given the state a legacy compared to that of Bisi Onabanjo, but i think that era of
purposeful governance has gone,
RomanceRe: Girl Leaving Boyfriend Because He Doesn't Have A Job? by lewa(m): 4:28am On Jul 18, 2006
good, cause if she dont leave his brokeass, she would spend eternity caring for some grown baby.
If he is seriously looking for a job then thats something different- she better leave for someone that would better take care of her than some parasite. Just kidding nasty experience just ask any guy whos been there
RomanceRe: Are You Better Off Single? No Stress. by lewa(m): 4:18am On Jul 18, 2006
Better single-no drama from the opposite sex would increase your lifespan by at least 30 years. walai,
and besides you can opt for the ocassional fling when you deem it necessary since you are free, single and always ready to mingle with your jingle. haha
CelebritiesRe: Whats Up With Nike Oshinowo? by lewa(m): 4:09am On Jul 18, 2006
Nike won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria peagent in 1989.She briefly married (i just forgot the guys name)
and later separated from him. She spent the better part of this dispensation running after Atiku who dumped her for
a babe ,Jennifer(na hin house FBI raid for Maryland). To me she epitomises one word S L U T.
The rummor mills have it that since bros likes giving it from the rear she ended up in yankee with rectal prolapse.
Haha society lady ko

PoliticsRe: Even If Ebonyi Has No Male Child by lewa(m): 2:41am On Jul 15, 2006

PoliticsRe: Four Nigerians That Can Lead Nigeria Better Than Obasanjo by lewa(m): 1:42am On Jul 15, 2006
My list
1 Chief Emeka Anyaoku
2 Professor Pat Utomi
3 Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe-in case you guys dont know,he was Chief of General Staff,
Supreme Military Headquarters from 1985-1987 under IBB.
4 Dr Ngozi Okojo-Iweala
If eventiually power would rotate to the S/S, S/E these are my candidates who would continue the present reforms and bring about sustainable development.Destiny beckons, more than ever before.
PoliticsRe: Dr Mike Adenuga In Trouble With EFCC by lewa(op): 9:37pm On Jul 14, 2006
Who says they have nothing on him. The guy had refused to honour previous invitations to clarify some issues.
I remember reading somewhere that the matter involved international dealings. Besides i happen to know that EFCC
has rounded up many fraudsters and drug barons from the steets Also many failed bank boys are still cooling their heels in R ibadu guest house. Its thoughtless to accuse them of inertia or being toothless.
PoliticsRe: North Korea's Missile Test by lewa(m): 2:44am On Jul 14, 2006
Yes i agree.Rogue nations with nuclear arsenal can precipitate armageddon. But with them having it, who can take it back-Dubya,Blair.Condi, Halliburton,UN? I doubt it.Tehran and Pyongyang would not give easily.
PoliticsRe: Mass Sack Looms In The Civil Service by lewa(m): 2:37am On Jul 14, 2006
Do you sincerely believe that any thing would come out of these "CIVIL SERVICE REFORMS" ?
well i doubt it. Poor people would be sacked prematurely, would wait endless for their pensions, and some
unfortunately would not get it,landlords would have a field day making people homeless and what of those with kids in schools?Do you really think that the FG would employ youths to fill these vacancies as some one postulated? I doubt it
The problem with the civil service is not the drivers or the messengers. It is anachronistic and sincere overhauling must be done.Policies hardly work where i come from-NEEDS,PAP(Poverty alleviation Program) etc whats the latest on them now? Thats how its done. Shout about something and next thing -nothing. My heart goes to those who would be sacked and their unsure future. I however trust in God to take care of His own and i know that many are calling on His name for devine wisdom. Its a pity
PoliticsRe: Dr Mike Adenuga In Trouble With EFCC by lewa(op): 7:33am On Jul 13, 2006
http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/news/article01/130706 would clarify further
"If you are seeking political office, and you have skeleton in your cupboard, we will bring it out. It has nothing to do with screening anybody. But we will work to bring people to justice like the way we did with 419, those sabotaging our oil pipelines etc. The moment you say you are now a candidate, you are now making everybody to look at you. It is not just the EFCC."
EducationRe: Roots of (Violent) Cultism in Nigerian Schools by lewa(m): 7:28am On Jul 13, 2006
Lots of people know next to nothing. i happen to know here in the states confra boys from many colleges in Nigeria
-core professionals, well respected in their fields. I mean not to defend confra or cults but also know that violence in coleges and the unnecessary deaths are apalling.Kongi(WS) is not responsible for violence on our campuses.
The prescribing of campus cults by the Buhari/Idiagbon junta in 1985 drove most of thes groups underground anmd that gave way for excesses. Now add the decay in education which came as a result of the militirization of universities by successive military dictatorships you arrive at violence, deaths etc. Obviously all fraternities are involved in this rot.
Its lame to say a particular frat is not-lets say the truth.Register frats, let the public know them and their sponsors, you would see a decline in this nonsense. However, failure to do so would see us at this thread in another 20 years. Many boys now graduate to armed robbery because of the arsenal at their disposal-can you imagine? Something must be done fast to protect our youth.Indians and Chines are gone
PoliticsRe: Worst Performing Nigerian Governor? by lewa(m): 6:28am On Jul 13, 2006

PoliticsRe: Dr Mike Adenuga In Trouble With EFCC by lewa(op): 12:28am On Jul 13, 2006
well this might help clarify
http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art200607130434978
He fired back at the newsmen, “Why are you so particular about Mike Adenuga? Ah! Ah! There are 101 people who are being investigated daily in Nigeria.

“Go today and see who we have taken. He is not the latest. What is special about him? Is he not a Nigerian? What is special? Does he have four legs? He is a Nigerian just like all of us.

“For God’s sake, there are people who have been taken in, and detained and nobody is talking about it. Responsible and good Nigerians have for long been taken in and investigated.

“In fact, we have celebrated Nigerians who have been detained before. This President served a jail term before he came out to become President. What is it? What is this thing about Adenuga? Important people like Gani Fawehinmi were detained in this country before.

“Please when we invite an individual for interrogation, it should not be an issue. We have so many cases that we are investigating, involving so many people.”

He, however, added, “At the appropriate time, we will come out with whatever findings that our investigations reveal.

“Give us time and I am sure Nigerians will know everything. We will never do anything in hiding. At the end of the day, Nigerians will know.”
