In civilised countries the 'Honorable Minister' would have resigned but woe and alas no one takes the buck in that jungle - there have been plane crashes too many justfor the same reason thousands die prematurely on the Lagos- Ibadan highway, the Benin- Ore Highway and no one has said were is the bastard that stole billions allocated for road maintenance how come he aint in gaol |
Sorry the opening should be-when i read this piece i was in disbelief- my bad |
When I read this piece I was of the article but you could go in disbelief, it looked as a script from a Ludlum or better still a Forsyth. Interesting, yet not on BBC or CNN.Website is www.dailytrust.com Court remands 3 expatriates, others over espionage By Ruby Rabiu Three foreigners accused of espionage were yesterday remanded in prison by a federal high court, sitting in Abuja. Three Ministry of Defence employees were also charged for giving out state secrets. The six accused persons, Vincent Mattew Shigrut aged 39, Godwin Aboh alias Omeje, 47, Samuel Okogie 35, Rom-anian Bogdam Dumitrescu aged 50, Israeli Eliav Hom-massany 46 and Irishman, James Nolan, 40, who were docked on a 12 count charge of procuring, producing and retaining “security materials”. They all pleaded not guilty. The Europeans allegedly bribed the Ministry of Defe-nce staff to pass information to them. It was not revealed in court what the information was. It was only said to refer to a “protected place” and was “prejudicial to the security of Nigeria”. Justice Binta Murtala Nyako refused to entertain any bail applications from counsels to the six accused persons and remanded the suspects in prison custody pending when their bail application will be brought by way of a motion on notice. The judge however, adjo-urned the case to November 21, for trial. I can’t seem to copy the remainder of the article but you could go the website |

Sorry stand or stance? |
@ Odeku Southside, wey u? |
IBB deserves to be' Queen' in gaol for the despicable crimes against humanity he committed as president. He did nothing significant as Head of State/President - fouled up the economy, restrained press freedom, corrupted the civil service, promoted mediocrity in the armed services, tinkered dangerously with education, encoraged strife and discord in the labor, unleashed poverty on us,catalysed the devaluation of the naira, encouraged religious bigotry and nepotism, looted our money with reckless abandon and cancelled (as the imp now puts it) the freest and most fair election in our nation's history. Bloody @#$%&-pardon my language |
OK has been saying he's got nothing to hide and if that is so he should tell his mum and others declared wanted to go clear theselves. Period. Enough of this noise |
Sis, i'm in the same boat as u .Went to naija end of July and asked my secretary to foward some of my mail home,i;ve been back 9 days now and the mail she fowarded(high priority) are in limbo after 6 weeks. Please make sure you take steps to make sure 419 people don't use the info they must have gleaned from ur stuff to their advantage and who knows, it might still arrive. |
God knows that some people casting aspersions on yankee slept for days on Walter Carrington queing for visa-its now they know that its a country of arrogant people ![]() |
@Hotstepper, ie God Bless America.Finito |
YES OBJ is the man yet jobs are scarce, inflation is double digit, hunger rampant, potable water-unavailable power supply a luxury, good motorable roads unexistent, assassinations unsolved, armed banditry unchecked-please say something else. Many people are dying, spin isnt the issue here |
Someone of us dont get it still. Why should he resign? Tafa had no light in the Kam Salem Police HQ when EFCC came around to arrest him. Imagine that!Ok take this one-the lifts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were not working when Dr Okonjo-Iweala resumed as Minister even photocopy machine, typewriter no de. Anytime foreign dignitaries came staff had to go buy refreshments from hawkers outside the ministry gates! Countless ministries have no functioning washrooms, litttered corridors smelly offices-so what are u saying? No one cares ! Monsieur le Minister du plenipotientiary owes no one any favour apart from those he has to make returns to Have you been to The Nigerian High Commission in the UK? |
@ Orikinla toto le so (U SPEAK THE TRUTH) |
Been there- PRAY TO GOD FOR FAVOUR when next you go. Seems everyone is an immigration risk now including those that have valid B1/B2 visitors visas that are being refused when they show for renewal. If they say no again try Canada or UK schools. All the best |
Yea yea- the average Joe knows next to nuthin about other places in the world. So?This is the only place in the world you can be all u wanna be- God on ur side Joe knows that his country has got his backside- so u could call him an arrogant myopic and rude tourist,ie if he ever travels. What of you-wetin ur country fit do for you. Try go ur consulate for New York or Toronto go see for urself. ABEG STOP STEREOTYPING. The world thinks we a nation of crooks by the way- move on to something productive and leave Joe alone, |
I read the blog and was quite disheartened. I think ive met this fellow Imoh Udoh before in Ibadan, Nigeria like 15 years ago. If im not mistaken he was a student of Chemistry at the College in Ibadan,ie UI.I hope theres someone on this forum that probably lives(d)in Bodija or UI that can identify this misnomer.WHAT A SHAME.OMIGOD i think he went to ISI! |
We are a desperate people-God knows where this twisted DNA comes from? |
Having read several meaningful contributions,i surmise 1 It's good to go back home and do something meaningful, but have an exit strategy in case things go not as expected 2 For those of you used to weekend /monthly grocery shopping, mall shopping etc make sure that the salary you would earn should give you a lifestyle at least commensurate with that you enjoyed in the west 3 Look before you leap-i have friends that went back and found out that the naija way of doing business was still at its best fouled up,ie corruption, nepotism, cronysm(which exists here too) and they still opted to fight it out.The moral ,be prepared. 4 I have a "shop" back home with a couple of my friends but business aint easy-kissing ass, bribery etc are things i don't condone but what can i do? If we continue to disparage our native country how would we progress? 5 All the best to my sistas and bros on their way back home. |
Absolutely nothing wrong!A chick was made the move once and i never suspected she liked me.It doesn't deminish any sense of respectability or dignity. |
;d |
Most gals of naija descent are totally against PDA,it's all as a result of rigid 'home training' and of course our culture.I see nothing wrong sha, we all can't like same things. |
It's a 50-50 thingy. |
no probs, its just a medical condition, so far shes on regular medication she'll be aiight.don't get taken in by any old wives tale-go for your gal |
Also make sure your mum has no further contact with them when they leave.By the way why are you looking for accomodation for them, just kick them out period and quickly too, sinister nigerian rogues-name spoilers |
Be careful, these are professional scam -artists.Drive them away asap.My aunt did work for a while at the University of Wits and told me most naija in SA leave much to be desired. Before you drive them away check your stuff and especially your financial details-bank cards etc and change your locks. They sound DANGEROUS. |
Being an easy lay aint race-specific.Naija gals are not sincere,if she says shes dated only 3 guys before you came around add that to at least 6 guys. Why?I'm no saint myself, why this preoccupation of being holier than thou, angelic without sin? Some naija gals dey try though but majority are .To me theres variety here and to those who say when boys want to settledown they start going to church to look for wifey material-kudos,the vast majority of these church goers sef difference no de. Lots of our family members have resigned their fate that awon boys would and are going global .And its not that these intrer-racial runs are also without their stress too |
@ Kenway ![]() ![]() ![]() Look who's talking? So Auchi-Okene road was awarded at a cost of 300 billion naira($2bn)?What "profound"ignorance? So what then is the budget of the oversight ministry ?Are you really "current" ?Are you sure?Seems as if i would allow you to do some checking first because i really think you're dead wrong on the sum you quoted with "informed" ease. Tony is a rogue no doubt and i am sure that you know about the numerous rogues-drug lords and 419 kingpins that have been locked up as a result of the existence of EFCC.I am sure you are also adequately "briefed" about the Nwude/Anajemba scam. Were they also enemies of OBJ or former associates?EFCC isnt perfect, theres much room for improvement and at least something is being done to target corruption and financial crimes. Those crying that they are being hounded by EFCC have something to hide , |
well my dogs are all married to white gals, african americans and hispanics!the naija gals they were dating before left them for 19 (crooks)boys when they were all struggling to school and work same time.you see naija babes all have drama and they all want the finished product, whilst they hate to manage when boyz still de struggle.matrialism is the bane of 99.99% of naija babes these carribean and white gals dont send if you still drive a 1980 honda so far you love them and respect them and also they dont have unnecessary demands eg gucci handbags and fendi shoes.its not yet uhuru for omo naija good luck to them,wa wa ok(they be aiight) |
Sorry the last phrase should be , start the fast now ![]() |
Arguments?Reality? Intimidation?Facts yes- i have given you For your information yes i have not being to Lautech but my small firm that i co-own in Naija did some due diligence for some people wishing to bankroll the recruitment of expatriate staff for your university.I am not intimidating neither am i parading names. Lautech has the potential to be great and i have listed some of the stuff that could be improved upon, so please as i said before that the fast now |
- there have been plane crashes too many just
.To me theres variety here and to those who say when boys want to settle
