PoliticsRe: Can Peter Obi Survive The Impeachment Saga? by lewa(m): 3:52pm On Oct 19, 2006
Heard he was crying when the state monarchs paid him a solidarity visit, protesting his innocence. If they really want to go ahead and impeach him he should resign and go back to his house.I always had high regards for Mr Obi,but now i'm at my wits end-it's not sine qua non to be in GH.He should dare the legislators, strip himself of his constitutional immunity and call EFCC to check the alleged claims. If he can't do that that means he's a rogue too like his predecessors-Ngige and Mbadinuju, two shameless kleptocrats grin grin
PoliticsRe: Ahmed Sani Yarima Is A Good Candidate by lewa(m): 9:58pm On Oct 18, 2006
Yerima is an intolreant religious bigot-demolished churches and built mosques on them.He has constantly denied southerners the choice of paying the same school fees as the Zamfara natives. He foisted sharia on non believers and flagrantly went against the directive of FG to stop sharia propagation.FG had to back down so as to aviod the asinine fellow from sending almajiris to kill, plunder and rape innocent southerners. He gets FG allocation which directly comes from the S/S and yet discriminates against southerners. How much has his barren state generated? What has been his own contribution to national development? What has he done in 8 years for the people of Zamfara? Can he strip himself of the constitutional immunity he enjoys now and address the charges levied against him by EFCC?Yet some people who have benefitted from his largesse albeit ill-gotten,have the audacity to insult our intelligence. The busy body from Kuala Lampur what's your own?

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo The Greatest President Nigeria Has Ever Had by lewa(m): 11:25pm On Oct 16, 2006
My little contribution to this thread is this-went home after a while to see for my self. The only thing working are NAFDAC and EFCC.Period.Theres no visible sign of governance at the local state and federal levels. Why are we calling ourselves names.OBJ is deluded, hes got delusions of grandeur and considers himself as an international statesman-but what do we have here-double digit soaring inflation, massive unemployment, derilict and decrepit infrastructure, relentless unnecessary retrenchment, pensions not being paid, hunger and starvation. The politicians are stealing because he himself is not clean and lets forget the rhetoric that the mess done by successive regimes is going to take forever to clean up the man has been there for how many years now and we are worse of pre OBJ. Dont be deceived afterall we know PDP rigged in 2003 so what are we saying?Transparency International rates us as one of the most corrupt(OBJ was before his election, Chair of the Board of trustees), so if hes the best why are we in the same rudimentary stage of development. We have not had any good leader and OBJ is definately one of the worst.History would tell smiley
PoliticsRe: Governor Fayose Finally Impeached by lewa(m): 10:55pm On Oct 16, 2006
Alamaseigha, Ladoja and Fayose all derserve what happened to them.We are still waiting for Dariye, Ibori.Lucky,Yerima
Orji and the rest. EFCC congrats cheesy. For those claiming that the process of removal was a rape on the constitution check your facts-The Chief Judge was mandated by the House of Assembly to set up a panel to look into the alledgations and make recommendations back to it, instead the CJ brought in Fayose's family and friends and despite protestations by the Speaker that he should not go ahead he did. Why?The man was corrupt. He had initially denied access to the lawyer for the legislators when Fayose had initially sued them.So what talk on legality are we saying. The Chief Justice is just playing to the gallery. If he is serious about reforms kick out judges and justices that issue restraining orders against EFCC from carrying out their job and he should implement to the letter the Justice Esho Panel on judicial reforms.Nigeria is a peculiar state and mind you when the wheels of justice turn against the brood of vipers raping the economy they are always the firsr to shout out.Fayose is guilty of corruption, of murder we are watching. One day for the thief grin grin

PoliticsRe: Is President Obj That Clean? by lewa(m): 2:39pm On Oct 16, 2006
@Big B1
Sorry many of us don't share your labile enthusiasm about IBB,at least for my ilk
OBJ is a rogue and there's no use make drama-Nigeria is there for us to see and
to those that have been visiting yankee before they could crawl( grin) they know
even if they are deluded that Naija has had a succession of kleptocrats and i say
progressively worse,Abacha was worse than IBB, and OBJain't doing badly either tongue
One day for the thief grin

PoliticsRe: Kalu's Mother Declared Wanted! by lewa(m): 11:06pm On Oct 15, 2006
A lot of people think funny-following this thread i have come to realise that many people
still don't get it.If EFCC is going to resort to pulling down gates((Adenuga), kidnap rogues(assembly
legislators), or bombard Mama OK's house at the wee hours so what? How many Court injuctions
do this people themselves obey,ie these so called politicians. Nigeria is a special case and at times any means necessary to effectively nail these brigands is to me fair.Ribadu has fowarded to the NBA a list of
so called SANS and other lawyers who have been investigated,or arrested or even have been petitioned
for fraudulent crimes but what has the NBA leadership done?Ditto for judges and justices refered to the NJC
and chartered accountants to ICAN? Millions of otherwise Nigerians who are unheard suppotr EFCCand wish
him God's abiding cover smiley
PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria Not Working? by lewa(m): 10:55pm On Oct 15, 2006
@ Admin,
Ghanians rushed en -masse to Nigeria when their economy took a bad hit from
the same plague in N igeria now-massive monumental maladministration-when
we got tired of being hosts to millions of illegal aliens we asked them to leave(circa 1982).
We can't compare the infrastructure and rule of law in Ghana to Nigeria now sad
