You haven't married? Your home tie is not strong enough jogojogo: To God be the Glory, I have just been refused on the ground of hometies and and travel History
For hometies, my proof of emplyment(letter from HR, payslip, pension account were presented), landed property, car document, family members (eight siblings, aged mother and father inlaw)
No travel History. I am thinking of travelling to few western african countries to get that corrected. I submitted on 22nd of February, 2022. I still have sowp application undecided.
I need our advise please |

You meant you can change visiting visa to study visa in UK? Or what did you mean by saying "making a visiting visa application through there as a study is also better". jayifeanyi1234: Hmmm...sorry to hear.
Though I don’t get your post very well; VV and swop... but at the same time?
In the flip side, will rather consider study route with a good agent (on Nairaland study forum), than make trips to different countries for the sake of travel history. How many will you make?IRCC give study without travel history.
Don’t know your agenda, but if it is what am thinking, UK seems easier, and making a visiting visa application through there as a study is also better. The money for these trips you are planning can be used for this.
Best |

Don't be discouraged. Keep your faith in God and keep praying... yes, compare to new portal, applications through GC Key take long to be processed, but that doesnt mean they won't process them. I also applied through GC Key since December and still processing. So, I am encouraging you, I am also encouraging myself. God will answer us, God will make IRCC attend to our applications inside GC Key in Jesus name. Letuspraytogod: I’m actually very sad. Nothing makes sense.
Biometrics since October 2021 and nothing yet from IRCC. No medical instructions nothing nothing. I refresh my email every 30 minutes now hoping for a good news. Nothing. What’s with the hold up? Without this, there’s no hope for PPR.
Am I the only one going through this? Please help!!!
PS; I applied using the old portal. I haven’t re applied using the new portal cus I applied after September 7th. I started my application October. |

Either of the two is good, depend on your goal. You can definitely get visa for 1 or 2 years program as long as you have degree. How much is Douglas deposit you must pay after your application is approved? Chibexe: Good day Guys,
i'm about paying the application fee for douglas college.
i'm actually applying for Postgraduate diploma in Data analytics.
It is a one year program.(pls whats the implication of the duration to my Visa application, is it better i go for a two year programme)

Thanks to everyone that responded to my questions when I got the previous denial. I sent multiple emails to JustMellow and he was so helpful and very responsive, gave detailed analysis to the doubts I had, I'm super grateful.
So, I did my biometrics in Lagos, how do I go about sending my passport?
Also, I just realized that my current passport expires in January 2023 and I plan to send that for stamping. But I dont know if that will be a problem seeing that my classes start in September. Since I have a few months before resumption, can I renew my passport here in Nigeria? The renewed passport will not have the stamp, so I'm confused on what to do.
How do I handle this situation so I won't need to request for a new visa when I enter canada? Please advise. |

Where did you do your deed of gift? Can I do that in the Court? Thanks. feistymikey: Lol this was the exact refusal reason I got in my first application. But glory be to God, my second application got approved.
For a one year course, your living expense is 10,000CAD, that’s like 3million plus and you have only 1million in your personal savings account. These visa officers know that you can’t have access to a fixed deposit account for a period of time so that’s basically having nothing to them.
I used my sponsor’s fixed account of 10million and his savings account that had like less than 5million for a three year course. Lol I was naive.
What I did differently in the next application was that, my sponsor liquidated his fixed account and transferred the money into his savings account. He also transferred my remaining tuition and living expenses to my account. Then I submitted with a deed of gift
So since you’re self sponsored, I advice you to use money that you can have access to, not just a fixed deposit account. Liquidate your fixed account if possible, and put about 12,000CAD in your account. Use a letter of explanation explaining what you did differently this time, Also, support your application with all your business and employment documents, payslips, letter from employer, CAC documents etc
You can also wait for more solutions from other members.
God will perfect your next application in Jesus name |

Good day family, Please, someone help me here: I have admission letter for PG certificate program in Canada. I used my completed Advanced Diploma qualification to secure this admission. Please, expert, I need your input. Thanks. Lezy: Congratulations |

Congratulations feistymikey: First and most importantly, I want to thank God for this success of my application and for giving me my PPR!! He alone is worthy to be praised. I also wanna thank everyone who helped me one way or the other by answering all my questions. Here’s my story, timeline and documents:
My Visa application journey started February last year. After 4 months of waiting, My first application was refused in June for “personal assets and financial status” reasons. I Ordered for my gcms notes, the VO stated that my funds were too modest (small) & doesn’t seem available & sufficient.
So, I deferred my admission from September to January 2022 . My friend advised I changed my course from a three-year course to one that lasted for two years since both will get you a 3year work permit at the end of the day.. so I changed my course, but still within the same field (IT/Computing)
I began another application journey, but this time, I decided to include my bank statements too. So I told my sponsor who is also my step-father to start sending my remaining tuition fees and living expenses into my account so I can apply when it’s complete.
So he sent 7 million in July, 8million in September, and 3 million in October. He also liquidated one of his fixed accounts and sent 10 million into his savings account
I Reapplied on November 11, 2021 with the initial documents I submitted in my first application with a letter of explanation explaining how I have addressed the visa officer’s concerns.
I deferred my application again to May 2022, then the long wait started till I got my PPR yesterday night.
Application: Old portal (November 11 2021) Upfront medicals- December 6, 2021 Medical passed- December 17, 2021 Eligibility review started - February 2022 PPR & BVL - March 24, 2022
Documents submitted: 1 All IMM forms 2 Proof of funds: Letter of sponsorship Affidavit of sponsorship Sponsor’s Nigerian passport Sponsor’s UK passport Tuition receipt Sponsor’s Bank statements (12 million) My own bank statements ( 20 million ) - I had 2 million in my account before, so he sent 18million Valuation of his landed properties (3buildings - 90million in total ) Letter from Sponsor’s UK employer Work ID Payslips for 4months
3 Client information: Letter of explanation Statement of Purpose Birth certificate NIN slip Waec certificate University Certificate University Student copy transcripts English language proficiency letter from university IELTS Certificate from British American Tobacco for 4 months industrial training Certificate from Polaris Bank for 4 months industrial training NYSC certificate Police Character certificate Mother’s Nigerian passport Mother’s UK residential permit ID Marriage certificate to prove sponsor’s relationship with my mother My Younger sibling’s birth certificate
P.S: I sent a Deed of gift via webform two months after I submitted my application when my eligibility review had already started.
Thank you everyone and God bless |
