Do consider ; the misgivings and sloppiness of this guy wouldn't justify your bashing of an entire tribe. What if he's only a tactless troll with a phoney Igbo moniker? I saw the post and it reeks of fakery to me. Do sheath your literary sword. |

JiggamanGh: If I decend on you and Nigeria, I know for a fact you will run away. You do remember what I did to you on the South African beauty thread. I am still waiting for your comment.
The fact still remains as we speak. There's still fuel scarcity, high unemployment, a country where 60% can't feed themselves, lack of education system, lack of electricity.
I will commit suicide if I were a Nigerian. Hell on earth. A place where criminals are born, from citizens to governments. Are you a lizard? You are yet to get a draw in any of our e-duels. I was knocking you and the south Africans about like ping balls and they were giving you sympathy "likes" . Is that what you call victory? Your brains are in hibernation. You have nothing factual to say. Give us facts and figures not horse_shit please. Ghana' s inflation rate is 17 %, Nigeria is 9 % Only 12%of Ghana are regular internet users Nigeria is over 70% and number 1 in Africa and 10th in the world. Half the population of Ghana aren't connected to the gsm network. Nigeria has over 85% gsm penetration. Tell me how a country of just 25 million and with vast gold reserve cannot rise beyond national and individual poverty. |

You can't feed your people but you insist you helped others. Misplaced priority, feed the hungry people in Nigeria. Loooooooolzzzzzz. Is this all you got? I should've known. You had to call your president a liar just because your heart is too small to bear the weight of truth? ? What a shame! !! You couldn't deny my submission , So Spare me your emotional diarrhea please. I need facts, not your wailing lamentations. Your tears are adding to the flood sweeping Ghana away. JiggamanGh: See your stupid as and your lies. The pipeline was built by who. You are truly stupid.
Nigerians and lies.
These are The owners of the pipeline. Now tell me how obasanjo built the pipeline.
The pipeline is owned by West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAGPCo), a consortium of Chevron (36.7%), Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (25%), Royal Dutch Shell (18%), Volta River Authority of Ghana (16.3%), Société Togolaise de Gaz (SoToGaz - 2%) and Société Beninoise de Gaz S.A. (SoBeGaz - 2%).[6] The managing director of the company is Walter Perez.[15] It is operated by Chevron Corporation. And what kind of a pathetic link is that? One can't even access it for verification. Nigeria built that gas pipeline for Ghana. We aren't talking about who owns it, ok? I bought you a car, have it registered in your name: It is your car in ownership and possession but I financed and bought it. Get it? Now here is the confirmation of your own former president: please read. I present this excerpt for my entertainment and your horror:
Former President of Ghana, John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor, has described Nigeria’s former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as ‘a prophet’ and ‘a living legend’ .........“I was in government in my country between 2001 and 2009 while Obasanjo was in power from 1999 to 2007. When I assumed office in Ghana, I met an economy that was flat on its tommy, everything was grounded. The fuel we had in Ghana then could not last us a day. International communities were packing out of Ghana. After consultation with my executive, I concluded to go to Abuja and pleaded with Obasanjo to lift embargo on NNPC of lifting fuel to neighbbouring countries including Ghana. My plea was immediately granted and that was how Ghana’s economy came back on its feet.”
Again, the former Ghanian leader narrated his second encounter with Obasanjo in Washington, USA. He said when Ghana needed $90 million to execute the West African Gas Pipeline Project, he approached the then Nigerian president and without ado, he (Obasanjo) raised $40 million to assist the project.
http://www.informationng.com/2013/01/how-obasanjo-saved-ghanas-economy-from-collapse-kufuor.htmlWhat can I say? This isn't a debate and you won't stall my preparations to office with this nonsense banter. Put your baseless pride aside and recognise who is boss, son. See you by midday. |

But the water level dropped. even Kainji dam was affected. And there was delay in the building of the gas plants. Vet don't worry Ghana is coming back Well if they are yet to pay for ages now, then it's on credit. How come they are agreeing to pay for what they have consumed for years? Aksombo dam my_ ass, sorry yours. The pipe which ferries this gas to Ghana was built by Obasanjo. And that gas from Nigeria is responsible for 25% of power generation in Ghana. |

achimotan: Is Kumasi now in Nigeria?
AN FRANCISCO, October 19, (THEWILL) – The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and incoming Minister, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu and the President of Ghana, Mr. John Mahama Monday met in Kumasi, Ghana to resolve the outstanding debts owed Nigeria by the Volta River Authority (VRA) for gas supplied.
The agreement allows the VRA more time (last day of February 2016) to settle a backlog of debts believed to be around $171m, but it must pay in full the invoices for the months of August and September latest by October 31 or risk being cut off from supplies, sources with knowledge of the agreement told THEWILL.
THEWILL also understands that the Ministry of Finance has been directed to write requesting West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCO) to extend the November 5 date for the Ghanaian government's guaranty called WAPCO.
The debt covers gas supplied to VRA, which is 100% owned by the government of Ghana, and the cost of supply and transportation of the gas from Nigeria.
Nigeria had threatened to cut gas supplies to Ghana over the unpaid debts.

Even the Nigerian authorities can attest to that. Very poor reporting Here are the facts from BBC in summary: 1 Ghana has been borrowing from world bank to pay for Nigerians gas for years 2 Since Ghana has been unable to access world bank loans,it has been unable to pay for this gas. 3 The Ghana's electricity Management has not been making profit because this gas is almost free . Consequently they have been charging Ghanaians very low energy billing. 4. Ghana has been using Nigeria's quasi- free gas to run a welfare system in Ghana. That's deception and emotional fraud. 5 Nigeria has restored hope back as plans to cut Ghana off from this source of energy have been shelved. You can just say Thanks instead of trying to pull yourself out from a hopeless debate. |

Ghana is hoping to reach a deal with Nigeria this week over a $103m (£70m) unpaid bill for gas after Nigeria's gas company suspended its threat to cut supplies. Ghana has struggled to pay its Nigerian gas bill after the Volta River Authority (VRA) utility ran out of money because it stopped borrowing funds from banks as interest rates soared during the country's financial crisis. The VRA stopped paying for gas in August last year, but last week the government did pay $10m, opening the way for talks on how the remaining sum will be paid. Ghana's electricity industry is mired in a crisis, with tariffs too low to be profitable, reduced supplies from the country's dams and residents stealing power. The gas, which is piped from Nigeria through Benin and Togo, is used to generate a quarter of Ghana's electricity so any cut in supply will hamper power production. It's also a political problem because President John Mahama has vowed to end the blackouts by the start of next year http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/world-africa-34555977?live_variant=nonjs |

Christianity Etc › Re: 8 Questions For Nairaland Atheists. by lezz(m): 11:04pm On Oct 14, 2015 |
Missali: I first learnt of the word 'Atheist' on Nairaland and was surprised to discover there are people who don't actually believe in the existence of a Supreme Being. I simply was surprised that's all, not angered, hateful or whatever extreme feelings there could be. Over time I have come to see Atheists as (seemingly) intelligent people but time and again I get blown away. Here are 8 questions I want to ask Atheists on Nairaland:
1. WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE RELIGION SECTION? Most of the posts in the Religion Section are made by Atheists and I start to wonder why they care so much about something that doesn't exist, Isn't that a huge irony?
2. THEY ASK SILLY QUESTIONS. There is a proverb; he who asks questions can not get lost. Sincerely though, some of these questions can make you lost and even make you doubt the sanity of these Atheist posters. Somebody will just wake up one morning and ask; 'Who is God? Where is God? Why is the sky blue? If you ask me, na who I go ask?
3. ATHEISTS DON'T ASK QUESTIONS. If you're trying to answer an Atheist's questions, forget it. A question is asked by someone whose heart is receptive to answers and not someone who already has an answer to your question, only to ask another question.
4. WHY DO ATHEISTS SPELL GOD AS 'god'? This is even a forgotten case. I may not be a Muslim but would never spell Allah as a.l.lah. I may not be a traditionalist but will never spell Sango as sango. I wouldn't even spell an Atheist as atheist. Common sense people!
5. WHY ARE YOU OBSESSED WITH CHRISTIANITY? Seriously, is Christianity the only religion in the world? So you left Christianity and you feel happy and free. I'm happy for you. Now, can we all move on like the world doesn't revolve around you?
6. SAVED THE WORLD YET? Atheists go about crying 'foul, foul' whenever Religion is mentioned. They claim it is the cause of farmine, fuel scarcity, unemployment rate etc. So now you're non-religious, saved the world yet?
7. STOP PREACHING. If a Muslim preaches, its alright. If a Buddhist does, its fine. If Amadioha's priest even preaches to me, it's understandable. They are trying to gather members, but when I see Atheists preaching (or is it trying to convince people) to believe in nothing, what really is your aim?
8. CAN YOU JUST BE YOURSELF? Not everyone is amazed or even concerned about your non-religious affilliation. If Ruth likes she can fast for 40 days. If Amina likes, she can wear an Hijab that is as long as Lagos to Sokoto. If Anwuli likes, she can pour ogogoro on that tree every morning. If you like, say our 'skydaddy' is a figment of our imagination. Everyone has their path. So can you kndly be yourself? Atheists are lonely souls on a lonely road. They need the attention and company to mitigate their self-elected misery. That's why they make a lot of fuss over God and Christianity. |
