Ironi:
Yes, because it makes no sense.

How can you ask a pathetically corrupt country like Nigeria to print your money for you?

The Ghanaian leaders making such decisions must all be shot in the head.
The post says not only Ghana but Ivory coast and other African countries as well. So there is a valid reason there other than cheap hate and fact-less emotional outburst.

She she had been in this relationship for one year, he proposed, everything followed to their traditional marriage last months. But his church says they can't live together until the white wedding is done. He is not buoyant or ready for a white wedding now but has carried out all rights both legal and traditional as they both agreed. what should they do?
The question now is, at what point is marriage recognized and honoured?
Is it at the point of...
(A) agreement between both spouse?
(B) Introduction (both families meeting and knowing each other)?
(C) Traditional Marriage?
(D) Court Marriage? Or the mighty
(E) White Wedding?

For me i think these churches complicates issues.
please i need sincere judgments and opinion, no insults or name calling.
We are all here to learn.
It is interesting to note that in the Bible, no wedding took place in the synagogue or church from Genesis to Revelation!!!

No prophet or apostle or Jesus Christ conducted or officiated a wedding ceremony!!!

All marriages in the bible were traditional in nature involving the parents of the bride and groom.

Africans, especially Nigerians are conquered people and they behave like one.

If any pastor conducts a wedding ceremony without a prior traditional one or without the consent of the parents or guardian of the Bride, he is an usurper and a thief.

You're right but if you live in thé West you'll hate the ruling class , the elites and even the masses of this country and this is one reason why I have said that it is good to experience both to help you make a better judgement and not the usual skewed judgement that comes from some of our brothers and sisters in diaspora.Though I have this feeling that their anger towards Nigeria was borne out of pure love for the motherland considering her resources and what is obtainable here and compare it to the standard of living.
Nigeria is a goldmine and those with an eagle eye are beginning to see those potentials and all the Government needs to do is to strengthen on our little achievements ,build more sustainable projects and make education compulsory for every child.
What we need right now is to industrialize this country on a massive scale and grab the African markets by the balls by shipping cheap finished goods. Then our economic woes would be over and it would be a win-win for neighbouring African countries.
Truely, our brother's in diaspora should be constructive in the criticism and not to kill whatever is left of the moral of those that are optimistic and ready to weather the storm for Nigeria.

Chinese in diaspora stole a lot of technology from the US and brought it home.

Our kunta kinte brothers in the West often rot away there and never make any positive impact back home except return in yuletide and other festive period with convertible cars, fake accent and jewelry.

I have a deep seated hatred for our rulers but it is the resilience of the Nigerian people that has been laudable.

Nigerian firms and companies now dominate virtually the west African region providing goods and services. I don't want to be too specific about countries so as not to encourage ego post from foreigners on this thread.

Nigerian banks have virtually taken over west Africa and are expanding to east-central Africa. Our government is still lagging behind though as our political awareness has been to accommodating and low our political class get away with a lot of corrupt acts.

But the future remains very bright, our political awareness is increasing and the value of opposition is becoming clearer. Soon our political leaders would become more accountable for their actions while in office.

Foreign investors are beginning to flow in, if the government would follow through with infrastructural development we will become the Japan and China of Africa.

We have a problem and we have come to understood that we can never go nowhere unless we make some changes .

I hope you're aware that a particular middle class is rising up in this country ,they don't have much but they've also known that with the little they can afford they can always make babies that their resources would be able to push far to at least to get good basic education unlike most of us that our parents gave birth to an entire village grin thereby denying us the basic things of life that shapes the future of a child and give them a sense of dignity which can determine how far a child can go in life and this would reflect in the society over time.Ask a typical Nigerian how many kids they intend to have and you would be surprised how the orientation has changed in the last 10yrs.
Bro ,Nigerians have suffered a lot and the only hope of a better Nigeria shouldn't be dashed on the alter of pointing out what is always wrong with the society in a ridiculous manner. They should be encouraged and I can tell you that this country is moving forward though not at the right speed - just come around and see for yourself . grin

After all said and done I respect your opinions because they are nothing but the truth but we deserve some credit to have come this far without plunging into total chaos and anarchy ,but if the Government doesn't make policies that would create abundant jobs, a better and secure source of livelihood in the next four years the gap between the have and have not would be so wide that it would require a lot to stop the ensuing chaos.
RESPECT.
Your facts and observations are very objective and instructive I must say.

The problem with most Nigerians, especially, the ones who live in western world is that they have become wiser and better informed than the rest of Nigerians living in Nigeria.

They come with the negative, doomed and pessimistic views with an attitude of false sense of enlightenment.

When I was a kid, India used to be officially the poorest country on earth.

China was so wretched she literally feeds on only locally produced rice.

Today these two countries are giants, technologically, and economically. And all the forecast for them are bright from all reports.

From 1994 Nigeria has been making strides positively.

DO YOU KNOW THAT BETWEEN 1999 TO THE PRESENT OUR MIDDLE CLASS HAS GROWN 600%?

Several years ago we don't have individuals like dangote or strong firms like zenith, oceanic, glo and other brands that have scattered all over Africa.

Innoson has started automobile production in Nigeria and other major brands like Nissan, GM have set up plants as well.

The freedom of information bill has been passed and Nigerians now have access to vital and sensitive information accross all strata of government institutions and agencies. That is what I call an institutional/legal framework for fighting corruption.

There's still work to be done no doubt but the future looks brighter than stormy. We have become the first African country with a .5 trillion economy with a booming movie and entertainment industry.

Koffi Annan, the formal Ghanaian UN Secretary general was in Abuja a month ago. When he left, he told the world that THE DESTINY OF AFRICA IS IN THE HANDS OF NIGERIA.

It's just sad that some "smart" Nigerians don't even have a clue and defiance to see everything NIGERIA IS AND CAN BECOME.

And largest economy in africa too lol number1 just adding to dat beautiful list
REASONS WHY NIGERIANS HAVE THE SUPERIOR COMPLEX AND ARE DARN ARROGANT.

Barely 55 years great Britain packed up and left. There were practically 0 infrastructure and institutions left. Any rail track or road great Britain built were solely for the purpose of ferrying our resources and raw materials away.

By 1960, we started the journey to self realization and after just 55 years in our young journey of existence we have become by our sweat and blood

1: The biggest economy in mother Africa.

2: Have lunched 3 satellites in space

3: Have the highest concentration of billionaires and millionaires in Africa.

4: We are home to Africa music headquarters

5 Nollywood is now no. 2 in the world

6: We are African entertainment headquarters

7: We are now in MINT countries

8: Nigeria produced the richest Blackman on earth

9: Dongote group of company is now in 15 African countries.

10: Nigeria funds and runs Ecowas/Ecomog 70%

11: We are the first and only country to pioneer the fully digitized, security , social identity card.

12. We have Africa's richest woman

13: Africa's richest blogger

14: highest gsm subscribers in Africa (130 million)

15 highest internet penetration in Africa

16: One of the biggest direct foreign investment hub in Africa.

17: 1 of every 5 African is a Nigerian.

18. We are the spiritual headquarters of Africa.

19 : most populous black country in the world.

20: Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe are Nigerians

21: Nigeria has one of the biggest natural gas reserves in the world and crude oil

22: As African power, We brought peace and stability to Liberia, Sierra-Leon, Togo, Sao Tome and Principe etc

When we look at D banj, P Square, Davido, Wizkid, ASA, Nneka, Timaya, etc all these names are house hold name in many, many African countries......

If we don't get arrogant and noisy, it just might explode silently inside our calm facade of a conventional pretentious gentility of hypocrisy.

We still have infrastructural and tribal huddled to climb, and we are in the process.

Nigeria is the biggest economy in Africa by the virtue of its population and not coz Nigerians are the smartest. If we judge things per capita,I am pretty sure Nigeria wont be among the top 20 economies in Africa. Can you tell me why is Nigeria economy in troubles right now, whereas countries like Kenya, ethiopia .....etc are growing? You don't seem to be able to make a distinction between talent and success:Nigerian artists are successful but they aren't talented!Idem for the nollywood personel!Who told you that Nigeria has the highest concentration of billionaires and millionnaires?
if Nigeria's economic status is by population alone, then Ethiopia will be right behind us with 80 million people.

You say Nigeria is in economic crisis? Darn!!! Take my advice, give yourself a nairaland-leave and go see what's happening around the world.

As I type this, Nigeria is the 6th fastest growing economy in the world!!!! Fact.
That's why I say don't type with emotions. Nigeria's economy grows presently by %4.9 down from %6 due to international oil price slump.

As for the billionaire and millionaire stuffs. We aren't just the largest on mother continent, Nigeria, turkey and Indonesia are producing millionaires faster than any other country in the world right now. Nigeria is just behind indonesia.

You mention the per capital stuff. Believe me that's what little countries use to measure up with big countries. Let me give you a run down of the biggest economies in the world and check their per capital GDP. THEY ALWAYS DON'T TALLY. Here we go :

1: The United States has the biggest economy but not the highest PER CAPITAL followed closely by

2: China her PER CAPITAL is still a long way down.

3: Japan is next still with a trialling PER CAPITAL.

GERMANY

FRANCE

BRITAIN and
ITALY follows.

The countries with the highest per capital happens to be tiny European countries especially from the Scandinavia region of Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland.

Now, quote me with a sober THANKS.

Your statement is full of untruths. As regard your insinuation concerning the number of black pilot, yes it is true, but the number of black pilots in private airlines is starting to build up. Concerning Naval personnel, large majority of our navy is black from Admirals to seaman. Do you think that the ANC is an ornament that decorate the room for nothing?

However, with the number of black doctors, you are wrong at every corner. Remember, during the yesteryears of apartheid, SA had a policy of segregation that saw blacks having their own homelands which are equivalent of states in Nigeria. Some of these homelands were Bophuthatswana, Trankei, KwaZulu, Venda, Lebowakgomo, Qwaqwa, Ciskei, etc. These homelands used to have universities of their own managed by blacks. We used to have our own black doctors in these homelands. Now the number of black doctors has since even tripled the number of white doctors long ago in democracy and is now even now sky rocketing. Medicine is not a rocket science dummy.

Let us not derail the thread please!!! Back to military discourse.

You are now resorting to derogatory name calling. There are thousands of black South African doctors who work overseas. Stooping to offensive name calling is the symptoms of Nigerians when intellectually defeated. It however not a secret that all major medical cases in Nigeria are either referred to SA or Europe. The question is where are those Nigerian doctors who are purported to be highly trained? Nigerian doctors are under qualified and that's why SA limit their medical engagements. They cannot perform brain surgery, organ transplants nor even a simple eye surgery. Their periphery is only on management of drugs and treatment.
if you say there are thousands of black southafrican doctors abroad, then you're beneath the waste in a sewer pipe. Little wonder this thread drags on

Blacksouthafricans are barely literate and they don't have the numbers to fill up the spaces even with the help of ANC.

Nigerian doctors are occupying your public health institution and you're here giving a lousy excuse that your own home grown doctors are agitating for better pay as the reason. Let shame envelope you!!!

Many, many white professionals flee to Europe when your likes got into power and there were lots of spaces of vacancies left with a gaping hole.

You blacks were still groping with education when other Africans especially Nigerians filled up most professional slots. My boy that was the beginning of southafrica's well known xenophobia, fool.

We may not have the best educational institutions, but we have the smartest people on the continent for a fact.

And we are not southafricans who can't tell a simple truth to save his life.

Let me break the fiction out of your imaginations, my boy. When you go to Europe, America and the developed side of Asia, any semblance of SA doctor you will ever see are fleeing Anglo-dutch Who were part of the millions of whites who fled southafrica after the bushmen came to power.

The other ones are those who got cheated by the ANC coercion of fixing blacks where they didn't earn the right to be.

And if those are what you call southafrican doctors abroad, lol, of course you're right .

Well in Nigeria there are more doctors than are employed, so they naturally go abroad to ply their profession. We even have the Nigerian American doctors association amongst other association of international bodies by Nigerians abroad.

This is what seems to happen to Nigerian trained doctors in Europe- The results is unwanted.

In Canada and US they wouldn't be allowed to practise medics or even touch patients if they were trained in Nigeria, rather they will be allowed to work as cleaners.
All qualified Nigerian doctors undergo English and general test to master their host accent and patient-doctor relations before they start practicising.

And if they so choose to engage in other jobs before they embark on full professional practice is another story.

But to set the records straight, of all of Africa, Nigeria produce doctors in higher numbers abroad than all southern African countries put together.

Before I drop my sources, I deem it proper to advice southafrican blacks not to jump into world affairs and events. Sit on the by lines and ask questions, observe and take notes. Better still, ask your neighbors of Angola, zimbabwe or Zambia.

Nigerian doctors are no longer wanted in UK, US and even SA is now limiting their reception because of their incompetency and their limit of how they could perform medical procedures. Nigerian trained doctors are not properly trained to handle major surgeries.
one medical clinical student in Nigeria equals 20 kwa Zulu-Bantu doctors.

The people of SA do not live under devastation. Nigerian citizens are. It will not help you to go on and on about murder rate of SA. There are many people who were killed in Nigeria than in SA, excluding Boko Haram victims. We have shown it here with statistics, proven and tested. The only part that works negatively against SA is that murders committed were far more in stats in relation to total population.
I thought you frustrated southies say Nigeria doesn't have any statistics on murder.

Where did you get your figures from?

Denial, shame, lies lack of dignity are now byword for southafricans on this thread.

Retarded Scums.

Look to what this dummy is saying. SA has enough doctors for its 50 million population. The only problem is that they are in conflict with the remuneration that the public hospital doctors get. They want to be paid more with better benefits, like cellphone allowances, car allowance, housing, entertainment, etc. Hence after they graduate they only do their community service at public hospital and thereafter emback into private service either establishing their own or working for top class SA private health facilities which pay competitive salaries. It is here you will never see incompetent Nigerian doctors and others.

However, incompetent Nigerian doctors who cannot do some certain medical procedures, like major surgeries, Organ transplants, like heart, liver and kidneys are employed at public hospitals earning peanuts. All that they could do according to SA medical law are circumcisions, lacerations, stitching wounds, Checking high blood pressure, blood tests etc.
The demands of your doctors is a naked reflection of the mentality of your Zulu-Bantu cave monkeys . It sure smacks of unprofessionalism, unearned doctor degrees by the dictatorial ANC government who insists unqualified bushmen fill up all governments and public institutions.

Your so-called private hospitals are owned, financed and staffed by Anglo-dutch and your xhosa and tswana cave men are who were forced forced doctor degrees are acting as nurses and clinical students.

By contrasts, Nigerian doctors are all over the globe performing professional duties.

As the single must HIV infected country on the green planet, and the one of the highest homicidal and attempted murder spots in the land of humans, your Anglo-dutch doctors would be over stretched, no?

To cope with such subhuman conditions, we understand why the ANC would staff your medical institutions with unqualified zulus and bantus whose only sense of purpose is "We must take what belongs to us",no?

Now I want you to sing me that classical ballad of racism song.
