Gbagun! Gbagun! I heard from the rear
Like the war is horrying near
saddle the horse with a perfect gear
caurse kingdom heads are bound with fear.

Alas! Alas! the warriors Cried
No more food and no more wine
Left overs from their favourite kind
Alas! Alas! the kingdom cried.

quik! quik! shout his men
hundred at once ran accross
they ran accross and out of sight
bravo said the king from right atop.

Gbagun! gbagun! I heard from the rear
Like the kingdom is free from fear.

My friend shut tha fvck up, you insecure sleazebag. Darkenedbaboon!!!

1. you have only spent 4hrs in nairaland yet you are qualified to rank who Nairaland best phraseologists are? Compound nuisance

2. Until now you have only made I post this month

3. Until now you have only 5 post for the whole of 2016

4. You have only 12 posts to this account and you deny being an alternate? Self-wanking _imbecile.

You are organically _stupid if you think you pulled this off.

Your account is just a cowardly, self-worshiping alternate of someone who is desperate to be part of the swing of events. You're a fraud and a self-doubting kid.

4hrs duration on your entire Nairaland duration and you know everyone? Bwahahaha. Desperation really blurred your need to be thorough.

Lolz, I know you suggested that and having it re-echoed here gives a feeling of affirmation.

Truth be told, I didn't have the editing skills to pull it off and arrange it orderly. And I couldn't squeeze any more time than my daily routine was willing to spare.

A cursory glance at their posts and threads should suffice, perhaps?

You have an interesting OP despite the subjectivity of the topic.

What criteria did you use to generate the list of the "phrasemakers"?

Was it the content of their posts?
The length of their posts?
Whether they used big words?
My criteria was simply their ability to use words in grammatical accord, flair, vocabulary, composition, word placement and arrangement. They all have different styles.

WTF is ishilove....LMAO!
Lolz, then an update will be introduced. I seldom visit the political section so I'm not so acquainted with the aforementioned guys. But I'll do a wider survey next time. Firsteva was pointing me to the political section but I guess I failed to concur with her.

grin grin grin I thought hard and long about it, brother. But I just wanted to be unbiased and objective.

There's another in that list whose personality online rubs me off in the wrong way too, but I just had to credit her, that's why I made her shortcomings as a foot note.

I'm 'coldly dismissive' only when the situation calls for chilly dismissal. On Nairaland that's inevitable
Yes, in nairaland, there's no getting around that one; there are many situations that warrant the cold dismissal but they tend to make it your default approach over time, I'm afraid. It mired your charms in the mud.

What if Rule 21 were to be enforced by Moderators?

No one has ever got the stick for breaking that rule yet. I suspect rule 21 is more of an advisory and preferential imploration to grace posts with standard English than the need to keep nuisance out of threads.

But still, Some Nairalanders have taken the pain and effort to write in an enthralling manner with certain panache and precision. Their literary efforts and phraseology draped in all shades of styles are as different as their personalities.

These nairalanders either have the innateness to write in an attention-grabbing way or they slogged to develop their writing proficiency which often entertains me more than the message they seek to convey.

I have selected 10 nairlanders whose pennings have served and entertained my mental perceptions for the entire duration of my nairaland stay. I beleive good writing is a mark of superior breeding and peerage .

I should point that their entire posts/threads are not without some gramatical blemish (As are mine or anyone else's) which is to be expected given the nature associated with writing on an online platform like this; most posts are done on mobile gadgets in between daily routine of work or studies, and always with swinging epinephrine and emotional reflections.

There is little moment for proof-reading and even less for aloofness in critical appraisals for grammatical marrings.

Seasoned, professional writers have the time of luxury and materials to have their scriptings error-proofed either by themselves or professionals. No such luxury is availed a nairalander who writes post and threads in real-time and often with emotional attachments.

The top 10 phrasemakers in my subjective conclusion to have graced Nairaland in recents times are --- in the order of hierarchy:

1.. TV01 . ( Rich in clever placement of everyday words
and has a varied stock of simple and
sophisticated vocabulary)

2.. TheSonofmark (Word-generator, clever use of
compound words in depicting
situations)

3... Mizmycoli ( good narrator and logical in
composition)

4... Ishilove ( prudish and sanctimonious but a
good writer still)

5.... Mindfulness ( philosophically to the left but a
a brillaint wordsmith, argumenta-
tive still)

6..... Tonyebacarnista ( A prose specialist)

7......

8.....

9......

10......

There are a couple of Moderators who actually deserve the cut, but I do not want to expose this thread to the risk of being perceived as an attempt to kiss up to any moderator, especially after being the subject of many bans I consider ridiculous. grin grin grin

ayodele234:
keep dreaming. Your brain have been devastated by CNN. The US. army is a paper tiger they only fight farmers like Afghanistan, Libya and funny the Taliban who fought with sticks and stone beat the hell out of harmburger overweight US. troops. You know nothing about military engagement, the US. dropped more bombs in Vietnam than all the bombs used in World War 2 but still got their ass whopped. When the air war is over it will take North Korea just 2 weeks to make the Americans run with their tails between their legs. America have never won a war in Asia and funny North Korea defeated before.
May Logic forgive your sacrilegious utterances. You're the perfect reason I detest sensitive threads hitting front page as they are soon hijacked by mediocre and emotional squealers.

Firstly north Korea has no war experience and has never fought a real war for decades. 2ndly, she is too poor to project any real war for a long time. The US has the greatest military projection on earth. They have been having heavy military engagements since world war 2 across the globe. You say America has not won a war in Asia? What about Japan? The japanese surrender in '46

Taliban is a group who don't fight conventionally, they are a terrorist group. Vietnam was lost to political will and objective not on casualties.

Now you compare US to north Korea and I'll say you haven't learnt anything. Japan is more advanced than Korea with a thousand years. She has the most advanced navy in Asia.

"Who has the strongest military in Africa" is the thread we debate military matters on this platform with foreigners. I have never seen you there, not once. And you claim to be our resident expert with this rubbish?
