FTBOY:Hehehehe, I want to top the list of witty trolls ![]() |
FTBOY: I thought hard and long about it, brother. But I just wanted to be unbiased and objective. There's another in that list whose personality online rubs me off in the wrong way too, but I just had to credit her, that's why I made her shortcomings as a foot note. |
Ishilove:Yes, in nairaland, there's no getting around that one; there are many situations that warrant the cold dismissal but they tend to make it your default approach over time, I'm afraid. It mired your charms in the mud. |
Ishilove:and coldly dismissive in a condescending fashion. Your intelligence should make you comely and endearing, not a put off in a chesty manner |
MRSANITY:Thanks, brother. |
Ishilove:.... conceited and arrogantly snobbish... you forgot to say thanks. |
What if Rule 21 were to be enforced by Moderators? No one has ever got the stick for breaking that rule yet. I suspect rule 21 is more of an advisory and preferential imploration to grace posts with standard English than the need to keep nuisance out of threads. But still, Some Nairalanders have taken the pain and effort to write in an enthralling manner with certain panache and precision. Their literary efforts and phraseology draped in all shades of styles are as different as their personalities. These nairalanders either have the innateness to write in an attention-grabbing way or they slogged to develop their writing proficiency which often entertains me more than the message they seek to convey. I have selected 10 nairlanders whose pennings have served and entertained my mental perceptions for the entire duration of my nairaland stay. I beleive good writing is a mark of superior breeding and peerage . I should point that their entire posts/threads are not without some gramatical blemish (As are mine or anyone else's) which is to be expected given the nature associated with writing on an online platform like this; most posts are done on mobile gadgets in between daily routine of work or studies, and always with swinging epinephrine and emotional reflections. There is little moment for proof-reading and even less for aloofness in critical appraisals for grammatical marrings. Seasoned, professional writers have the time of luxury and materials to have their scriptings error-proofed either by themselves or professionals. No such luxury is availed a nairalander who writes post and threads in real-time and often with emotional attachments. The top 10 phrasemakers in my subjective conclusion to have graced Nairaland in recents times are --- in the order of hierarchy: 1.. TV01 . ( Rich in clever placement of everyday words and has a varied stock of simple and sophisticated vocabulary) 2.. TheSonofmark (Word-generator, clever use of compound words in depicting situations) 3... Mizmycoli ( good narrator and logical in composition) 4... Ishilove ( prudish and sanctimonious but a good writer still) 5.... Mindfulness ( philosophically to the left but a a brillaint wordsmith, argumenta- tive still) 6..... Tonyebacarnista ( A prose specialist) 7...... 8..... 9...... 10...... There are a couple of Moderators who actually deserve the cut, but I do not want to expose this thread to the risk of being perceived as an attempt to kiss up to any moderator, especially after being the subject of many bans I consider ridiculous. ![]() |
ayodele234:May Logic forgive your sacrilegious utterances. You're the perfect reason I detest sensitive threads hitting front page as they are soon hijacked by mediocre and emotional squealers. Firstly north Korea has no war experience and has never fought a real war for decades. 2ndly, she is too poor to project any real war for a long time. The US has the greatest military projection on earth. They have been having heavy military engagements since world war 2 across the globe. You say America has not won a war in Asia? What about Japan? The japanese surrender in '46 Taliban is a group who don't fight conventionally, they are a terrorist group. Vietnam was lost to political will and objective not on casualties. Now you compare US to north Korea and I'll say you haven't learnt anything. Japan is more advanced than Korea with a thousand years. She has the most advanced navy in Asia. "Who has the strongest military in Africa" is the thread we debate military matters on this platform with foreigners. I have never seen you there, not once. And you claim to be our resident expert with this rubbish? Front page opportunist! |
firstEVA:you know I'm a grown-ass kid and have done really _stupid things in my life ![]() I can't suppress the little boy in me who keeps yearning for EVA-cookies ![]() |
Ganjafama:Lolz, The only threat North Korea poses is to South Korea. None of her war heads are inter continental. None can reach the borders of US. In addition, North Korea has no economy to sustain any war for even a week. Most of Korea's claim to sophisticated missiles are wrapped in deceit. Her latest claims to have tested a modern nuclear has been debunked by experts. In the event of a war, the US only needs to do little, Japan, having the most advanced navy in that region and South Korea will wipe the North out of the map. |
Lots of folks don't know that what Nigeria has done is diplomatic alignment of support. Ignorant folks spewing ignorance with confidence. Nigeria spoke similarly against Gaddafi's Lybia, Aparthied South Africa. By diplomatically condemning North Korea's activities, diplomatic pressure is affirmed and international allies are made. Nations are like individuals. And just because I can't fight you doesn't mean I won't criticise your actions and pitch tent against you with those who can. |
RiloKiley:Man, I just followed you now. Your philosophy is frightfully similar to mine in this regard. We are a dying breed and there's need for the awakening of masculine responsibility and consciousness. Thanks. |
RiloKiley:Men has always pioneered civilisations, inventions, nations and technology and will always pay the price with their lives. However, the 21st century male has been greatly compromised by feminist recurring fads. Men are beginning to abhore leadership and responsibility both to society and family. |
RiloKiley:So much for being man |
You do realise once your thread makes front page, you can't do an edit or modification, right? It is actually taken from you by Seun's virtual soldiers ![]() Except my threads on bashing south Africa and Ghana, I prefer them within my sphere of influence. And my best moments in NL was when two of my Ghana-dissing thread struck front page. It was pure, undiluted ecstasy ![]() I did one with postman's moniker and the other with mine. |
firstEVA:NL has a tradition: first/early quotes get likes alot whether it is logical, mediocre or down right silly. And without being snobbish, once a thread hits front page, it is out of the control of the authour, especially when written fresh from personal opinion and experience as material. There are over 3million subscribers and majority has comprehension insufficiency and logical bankruptcy. Sometimes, I detest my thread making front page, I prefer to keep it in a closer, smaller circle of readership I can interact with, debate with and exchange views. |
firstEVA:It's not meant to be popular at all. The readership is for those with high reflective and sophisticated mind. The language won't be the everyday prosody. It may take a couple of readings to get the import clearly. |
firstEVA:Lolz, It's been a crazy, fun week both here and online. And I predict the virtual world is building REAL bridges that merged the real one into one seamless world. It's sobering and reflective. That is my upcoming thread. So much happening. |
firstEVA:Are you saying you're in the way, in my head? |
firstEVA:Sex, Diction, and The Virtual world in The 21st century. |
firstEVA:Short and in intervals, doing some writing. |
firstEVA:How'd your night go? |
firstEVA:Hello, brightness. You should be in bed. |
Lsofdk:Her?? Is she sensual, touchy or wierd? Any history of controversy or she's just fun? |
rejoicebae:That's my kind of girl; sensual, warm and loveable. I think I can spend 45 minutes just prepping you up and getting you wet and damp and limp from desire. And I wouldn't even have to do a full penetration with you. Just penile head deep, with the sharp demarcation of the cap of my penis giving your vagina lips a greasy friction of darting ins and outs. |
Lsofdk:what the hell is that ? A place, event or person? |
BlaqCoffee109:Experience, my dear. My fingers are only an extension of me depicting what I have lived. A conjurement of hanging and blurred images brought fresh in digital print for you. |
rejoicebae:Nice to know you remember me Now tell me, how do you score my narrative?I don't mean the literary efforts, I mean the actual depiction of sex I portrayed. |
BlaqCoffee109:Lolz, I miss them sometimes, so I actually seek them out when I'm feeling up to it. Thanks for your approval, my scriptings are spawned from experience.....lol |
Creamish:Yes it was particularly. Not so large eyes but large enough. A nose of royal moulding, tilting at the end nostrils. I carry your image engraved in my heart ![]() |
Creamish:Sometimes words are borne from impression. I still remember your long discarded DP: long dark hair, sitting on a car and your beauty had grace of edifying sophistication that compels one to look a bit longer than one should. |
