Politics › Re: Kano Deaths: Buhari Must Visit Kano – PDP by LibertyRep: 2:39pm On Apr 26, 2020
If what PDP want is PRESIDENTIAL visit, they'll surely get it --- SGF and member of the PRESIDENTIAL task force will soon visit Kano.

PDP should have known by now that the next time they'll probably hear directly from PMB is Monday by 7pm on NTA.
Politics › Re: LAWMA Successfully Test Runs Mobile App That Allows Residents Receive Incentives by LibertyRep: 2:30pm On Apr 26, 2020
Turning waste to money is the new thing.

I suspect that this will be managed by the Chinese as the picture above suggests.

Foreigners might be taking over Nigeria faster than we might even imagine. From construction to quarry to Health and now this.
Politics › Re: COVID-19: Where Are Buhari And Osinbajo? – Reno Omokri by LibertyRep: 9:47am On Apr 26, 2020
If Reno or anyone wants to see the President, let them tune in to NTA by 7.00pm tomorrow wherever they may be. That much I can guess.

It doesn't appear the old man is ready to change his style regardless of how much anyone complains and yearn to see him address the nation frequently.

Isn't this the same country where we used to have the quarterly presidential media chat?
Politics › Re: Content Of The Rice Donated By FG To Oyo State (graphics Pics) by LibertyRep: 9:16am On Apr 26, 2020
We were once told that those rice were confisticated because they weren't too good for human consumption among other reasons.

Before we invite food poisoning to come and finish the work corona couldn't do, I urge every state to deploy Food Technicians to certify every food items donated by FG and individuals before distributing to the masses.

It may slow down the distribution a bit but better than the repercussion of having to contain food poisoning later.
Politics › Re: NDDC Denies Fraud Rumors, Says Documents Circulating Are Fake by LibertyRep: 9:10am On Apr 26, 2020
The NCDC shouldn't just stop at debunking and discrediting the ' fake' letter.

They should also ensure the purveyors are prosecuted to serve as deterrent to others.

That's when they can truly be exonerated

Health › Re: 12 Prominent Persons In Kano Die In 10 Hours by LibertyRep: 7:49am On Apr 26, 2020
Kano is probably bungling or has already bungled the struggle against Covid-19.

But this isn't time for blame game, let the FG through NCDC, Presidential, Task Force and other means assist Kano now for the sake of all of us.
Politics › Re: South West Governors Rejects 10,800 Bags Of Rotten Rice Donated By FG As Covid-1 by LibertyRep: 7:48am On Apr 26, 2020
South West Governors of Oyo State Governors?
Politics › Re: See The Names Of Prominent People Who Died In Kano Today by LibertyRep: 8:35pm On Apr 25, 2020
Kano may become the new epicenter of care isn't taken.

On AIT today, Gbenga said the entire Ministry of Health in Kano who should coordinate the testing in Kano is on lockdown as a huge chunk of their personnels are already Covid-19 positive.

The Governor and indeed the government of Kano is already overwhelmed. They need help .
Politics › Re: REVEALED: Why Chief Of Staff Position Under Buhari Presidency Is Powerful by LibertyRep: 7:45pm On Apr 25, 2020
A Chief of Staff could only be as powerful as his wants him to be.

Late Abba wouldn't have been that powerful if Mr. President had not allowed him.
Christianity Etc › Re: Internet On Fire As Apst Suleman Asks FG To Allow Him Go To Isolation Centers by LibertyRep: 11:57am On Apr 25, 2020
This is a request that the Govt should be willing to grant.
Christianity Etc › Re: Nigerians May Defy Fresh Lockdown Extension, Says Bishop by LibertyRep: 11:41am On Apr 25, 2020
It's not just a matter of 'may'. Certainly any further extension won't go down well with majority of the people whose means of livelihood have been badly hit.

The government just has to think outside the box and device another means.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump Claims Disinfectant ‘Injection’ Idea Was Sarcasm, After Receiving Backlash by LibertyRep: 9:29am On Apr 25, 2020
If anyone would cast aspersion on Trump at this moment, please let it not be a Nigerian.

Politics › Re: COVID-19: Udom Emmanuel Sacks State Epidemiologist for taking samples by LibertyRep: 5:26am On Apr 25, 2020
Never mind Dr. Epidemiologist it's their loss.

I mean, who goes about sacking scarce and endangered frontline medical personnels at this period?

FG might employ him.
Other States in the country might employ him with better conditions
Other African countries might need his service
Infact W.H.O might even beckon.

A blessing in disguise.
Politics › Re: We Will Accept Leader Of Boko Haram Abubakar Shakau If Surrender by LibertyRep: 4:56am On Apr 25, 2020
Wonderful!

...then possibly reradicalise and rehabilitate him before sending him overseas for training.

Shekau, what are you still waiting for?
Politics › Re: Oyo Govt Set To Return 1,800 Bags Of Infected Rice Received From FG by LibertyRep: 4:10pm On Apr 24, 2020
It's hard to take side in this case.

The FG shot itself in the legs by first saying the imported bags of rice are expired and unfit for human consumption before confisticating them.

I hope Oyo isn't playing unnecessary politics with this return.
Politics › Re: Did You Receive Electricity Bill For April? by LibertyRep: 4:03pm On Apr 24, 2020
Is there not a thread on this platform of IBEDC official beaten in Ogun earlier today?
Crime › Re: IBEDC Staff In Ogun Beaten For Distributing Electricity Bill (Disturbing Pics) by LibertyRep: 2:31pm On Apr 24, 2020
This is the kind of avoidable risks these power companies are subjecting their staff to by refusing to give prepaid meters to consumers.

Would this have happened if all premises are metered?

This is condemnable in all shades though.
Politics › Re: Governor Umahi Reverses Ban On Sun, Vanguard Newspapers Reporters by LibertyRep: 9:21am On Apr 23, 2020
I, therefore, call on the general public, NUJ and others concerned to discountenance with the false reports, videos and audio as they are either a figment of the bearers imagination which they brought to bear or a deliberate attempt geared towards smearing the hard-earned good reputation and good media relationship of the governor.

In essence, the government is saying the audio and video are fake. Is this not even much more grievous and damaging than the original sins of the journalists?

Maybe if we all stand in unison against the bullies and dictators, we'll realize that they aren't as strong as they want us believe.

Next thing is to make him assure the journalists of there safety.
Politics › Re: How Amb. Rabiu Infected 1000s Of Kano Residents With Coronavirus by LibertyRep: 7:01am On Apr 23, 2020
If this report is true, the man must be extensively investigated. It looked like he acted as an agent for some people to deliberately spread the virus in Kano and neighbouring states OR he could be plainly wicked and never wanted to die alone.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Lawyers From 40 Countries Sue CHINA For State-sponsored Bio-terrorism: COVID by LibertyRep: 9:25pm On Apr 22, 2020
Lawyers from Nigeria should not be left out.

If truly China played the world with this virus, then she must be made to pay for it
Politics › Re: COVID-19: Governors Adopt Two-week Inter-state Lockdown by LibertyRep: 9:20pm On Apr 22, 2020
Are the security agents manning the borders carried along and properly briefed?

The success or otherwise of the interstate lockdown depends on them.
Politics › Re: North Nigeria Packs Up Child Beggars Over Virus Fears by LibertyRep: 9:18pm On Apr 22, 2020
The Covid-19 pandemic has given the government the needed to eradicate this system finally.
Except the governor and the elites in a state are benefitting from it, the Almajiri system shouldn't flourish again post Covid-19.
Politics › Re: We Can't Watch You Destroy Journalism — NUJ Warns Gov. Umahi by LibertyRep: 5:47pm On Apr 22, 2020
If the NUJ hadn't reacted this way to the brazen impunity, I would have assumed they're cowed or "brown enveloped'

Irresponsible journalism should not be encouraged but banning Journalists from all government establishments is akin to banishing them from the state. Not to even talk of the subtly instigating the masses against them.

If the Governor feels he's maligned by the report, he should sue the journalists when the court resumes instead of acting like a dictator.

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Odumeje Bombshell: Says Prophets Can Overrule God (VIDEO) by LibertyRep:
We've be made to believe that the present pandemic is as a result of God's anger.
As someone who can overrule God's plan, how long will he take him to send back the Corona virus?
Or are the faithfuls not also affected?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump Instructs US Navy To Shoot Down Iranian Gunboats If They Harass US Ships by LibertyRep: 2:18pm On Apr 22, 2020

The world is battling corona now and funny enough, these two countries are amongst the worst hit.
Politics › Re: Now That Oil Prices Has Crashed, How Will Nigeria Cope? – Reno Omokri by LibertyRep: 10:10pm On Apr 21, 2020
When oil was selling for around $140, what did they do?

Now is the time to seriously cut the over-bloated .and unsustainable expenses incurred on the political office holders .

Nigeria needs to be frugal as it could.
Education › Re: IPPIS: Buhari Approves Payment Of February, March Salaries Of Varsity Lecturers by LibertyRep: 9:05pm On Apr 21, 2020
Post Covid-19, they will still be back to this issue.

It isn't yet Uhuru for ASUU, FG is just being compassionate.
