Let's go local. Have you heard of Gbenga Adeboye? Pastor, Alhaji, Oluwo. Jengbetiele, Abefe, Ekun oko Lara. RIP |
He's doing himself and his close immediate family members and associates. |
Strike at this precarious situation? Imagine soldiers at the forefront of a major war going on strike. Government and the Doctors must iron this out quickly. |
May Allah heal Kano. Something isn't right in that state and it's obvious. |
jrusky:The hypocrisy of the system and elites that turn blind eyes to this menace is sickening. These innocent kids scanvenge for food even from dumpsites. They wear rags and practically no shelters during the biting cold . No body cares about their health and well being. Pray how will somebody in this precarious situation be able to learn the Qur'an? The practice is shameful and barbaric. The North has well structured Arabic schools and it is hightime they abolished and criminalize this archaic Almajiri system. |
Lostz:Pitied and possibly compensated for his loss. |
He said he was just saying his mind with all honesty. A man whose cattle has been rustled and family members killed, deserves to be pitied and not arrested. Ironically the people who failed to protect him, his business and his family when needed most were swift in arresting him when he called them out. This old man deserves compensation. |
This problem will not just go away post Covid-19 EXCEPT government proscribe the Almajiri system and adequately punish the parents of the kids for that gross neglect. |
Send text messages, he'll read it. |
FG should return the 1 billion naira donation to Access Bank. This distress signal is obvious and I'm afraid they might even lose customers than the number of staff they've sacked. |
May the soul of the departed rest with the Lord. |
Who would have thought that a tiny island in Africa will come to the rescue mankind? Sometimes size may not necessarily translate to might. Well done, Madagascar. |
This is serious and saddening. There has to be something else behind this aside Covid-19. I sympathize with the bread winners whose sources of livelihood is about to be taken away. |
Makes sense. How do you donate billions this month and lay off some of your workers the next month for pausity of fund. Eye service or hypocrisy? |
Kano needs help |
I pray the government has the political will to carry out this reform. It's one of the many steps in taking Nigeria up from her knees. |
Same way they dubbed the social media regulatory bill from somewhere else. There's nothing wrong in looking at the laws of another society in a bid to fine-tune it to the desires of your society, but then plagiarism is a fraudulent act anywhere in the world. |
I've always considered the voice vote as riddled with fraud and always goes in the direction the leadership wanted. Let them raise their hands and count if they can't vote electronically. |
They had better leave private properties alone. Whatever happens to all those seized properties. They could also make use of stadia across the towns if need be |
If it's for the I overall good of the country, so be it. |
Should I be in the same condition, I doubt if I would have acted differently. |
Kano needs all the help it can get now. The Governor could be blamed later for his lackluster But for now, let Kano get all the support it needs for the sake of the innocent souls. .....for the sake of the entire northern Nigeria. If Kano erupts, there's no amount of border closure that will safe the other states in the North. |
Ok |
There's no problem if due process was followed. |
The mass sack is looming. Government should not just talk but act ! Access Bank Atiku's station Still counting! |
What could PMB have done to have warrant abuses from a 70 years old man from his backyard. If police should come to Nairaland ehn, their cells go full be that o. Can anyone explicitly state the law the old man violated so that others wouldn't ignorantly fall into the same pit. |
Greennotes:They hold millions hostage because they make the army loyal. A dictator is as brutal as the loyalty of the army he controls. |
It reeks of hypocrisy. |

It's one thing for the court to make pronouncements, it's another thing for the executive to implement the ruling, especially when it isn't favorable to them. Good luck to those involved. |
It's not impossible. It could also have been cultured somewhere else but unleashed at WUHAN. I've not been convinced that this virus is natural and not engineered. |
