Since the schools are closed and the pupils are at home, I will advise that the ministry in charge change the name of this WONDERFUL intervention to home- feeding programme. However I wish the NASS is paying attention to this and they stop the wasteful spending about to get down, if they're not complicit. There has to be a limit to how much the scarce resources can be frittered away, not even now that recession is staring us in the face. |
Great. Face mask has to become part of our outfit now. God heal the world. |
Police need not break a sweat over this yet to be substantiated story. No religious leader will reopen his premises without express permission from the government. Nobody, no matter how highly placed will want to try the government's might. And I'm certain that the Bishop is wise enough not to allow some small boys to mess him up and use him get promotion. Some of these big brand religious organizations have branches in foreign countries where lockdown is in place, they dare not test the might of the government over there. |
There must be something about being the presidential spokesperson that we haven't unraveled - why does that position makes people become the exact opposite of who they were before? I can remember watching Reuben Abati on Patito's Gang back then and his other exploits until he became the spokesperson to GEJ and lost the goodwill. The outburst of Adesina on that interview was condescending and unpresidential. If he had been on the other side of the divide, I can bet that he wouldn't have spoken the way he did. Again I ask, is it not this same country that we used to have the quarterly presidential media chat? |
Demolish ![]() Anyone who knows the cost of building materials now will think twice before demolishing any building except it is absolutely necessary. Someone has flouted a directive, take him to court instead of this jungle justice where the complainant is the judge and the executioner at the same time. |
Is there anything wrong if the government reveals what it has been using to treat the discharged Covid-19 patients? Yahaya Bello might have been in the news in the past for wrong reasons but on this one he definitely has a point. |
Hopefully, the monetary reward wouldn't plunge the community into unnecessary fight. |
If anyone violates the Executive order as regards the measures to contain the contagion, Obaseki should apply the necessary power at his disposal to protect the citizens instead of whining. Is he not aware of what Wike is doing in Rivers? |
...and Wike himself is/was a lawyer. |
Had the 250 of them decided to be unruly and disperse in all direction, we might have had a problem on our hands. Clearly somebody didn't make a proper arrangement, or someone messed it up along the line. The buck stops on the minister's table. |
The writer just fall short of mentioning Aisha as the head of the new force. I haven't heard from Garba too lately, could he be the one whose access tag was withdrawn? Don't be surprised if APC ends up with Osinbajo - Aisha ticket. |
They must have local collaborators. Don't be surprised if they pay royalties to top people from that community. Nigeria is almost sold to the Chinese. Almost all quarries I know have the Chinese as the owners or leased to them. |
See drama. Cunny man die , cunny man bury am |
See drama. |
Sahara Reporters again. These revelations are enough for the EFCC and ICPC to have invited Mr. Obasa. ...or are they still waiting for petitions? |
There's no vaccine yet against the death Covid-19 can cause. None. |
Every soul shall taste death. My Allah admit the departed into paradise. |
The PPE didn't come because of the nylon-wearing display which came days before the Covid case was recorded The hospital has PPE. Wether it's enough to go round is another debate. One of the nurses bought the nylon on her on volition and the others decided to rock it with her and take pictures with it. Whoever leaked the harmless picture must have done greater harm to the nurses. I heard they were to be queried on Wednesday for bringing the institution to disrepute. |
The man actually made sense. Except anyone decides not to see sense in it. |
The App is doing wonders |
As God's P.R.O abi? Although it could be argued that some Nigerians are just religious but not Godly. |
I thought he had paid off the bandits |
The only reason these Agbero seems powerful and invincible is because of the political backing and patronage they enjoy. To put an end to the menace just require a single order from the Governors and they'll be reigned in |
There was never a lockdown in most parts. What we had then was restriction of vehicular movements and closure of businesses. People still move about within communities How do you say there's a lockdown when people still need to go to the next street to fetch water? |
Not just the roads please. Security should be deployed to the forests and the foot paths. |
He's right about this. How do occupants in a multi- tenanted apartment who share same bathroom, kitchen and toilet maintain physical distance? There are no functional and organised public transport system in most cities. Most of our markets are open stalls, not supermarkets with controlled entrance. Knowing how our society is structured, authorities should have strived harder not to have allowed the virus in. But now that it's here, I'll suggest we start doing things and eating foods that will boost our immunity against the contagion. |
Ganduje's request gave him out easily. The #10billion naira given to Lagos must have 'entered the eyes' of some of these state executives. Same thing that is likely making a governor in the South South acting like an emperor. |
Technical and tactical knock out. Pushing the narrative that the lockdown is targeted against any religion is dangerous and uncharitable, especially in religious society like ours.. |
Time to deploy Amotekun Corps into the bushes and forests. The rest of us can't be made to suffer for the negligence of some people |
The ball was set rolling yesterday and sure some other men of God will be emboldened to come out harder in the couple of days. My take is that Government should act fast and call these people to order before they instigate their followers into going against the lawful directives . Are the mosques open in this Ramadan period? Are the traditionalists also allowed to congregate? Making it look like the church is the target is a dangerous narrative that must be arrested before it consumes everybody. Why isn't anyone even concerned about reopening of schools? |
Can we have a copy of the 20 minutes bombshell? |
