The only person giving credence to this Jubril issue is PMB himself and it seems he is enjoying it. Pray, why should the president of a nation find it difficult to address the citizens frequently. I can't remember the last time I saw PMB's live address on TV. His handlers should stop caging him |
buhariguy:Chief, don't you think it is inappropriate to refer to Atiku as a thief since no court has convicted him yet. Plus he is even desperately trying to go to America where many have said he dare not visit. |
Why is The Nation shy of mentioning the name of the ex-president? Could it be because OBJ sued a presenter for 1 billion naira a while ago and even warned a TV station against libelous report about him. I like the response of the US official though. Visa Application is confidential and who gets what and when should not be the business of any third party. |
Since Atiku is alleged to be corrupt and wanted in America, APC should even be at the forefront of people lobbying America to grant Atiku Visa. I'm surprised Lai and APC aren't seeing this as a God-sent opportunity for Atiku and PDP to be taken out of the contest. I agree with Saraki, APC is panicky about the impending America travel |
Good luck to him. No wonder Uncle Lai was agitated yesyerday. |
At this stage, I guess it will be expedient for us to do away with this contentious immunity enjoyed by the governors. Remove the immunity and see the governors sit tight. |
Everyone knows that Ganduje enjoys immunity from prosecution but NOT against investigation. But why do these government officials like making important comments when they are abroad. Same Magu was asked about Ganduje gate here in Nigeria but dismissed the question. Is there something our Nigerian Pressmen aren't doing properly or is it mere arrogance on the part of these officials. |
In the contrary, Nigerians should agitate that he be charged to court immediately by the police if indeed he has committed any infractions. |
After Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina, Jimoh Moshood has the toughest job in Nigeria at this moment. |
This is commendable. I wrote abt this sometimes ago and I should be glad that the fee is reviewed https://www.nairaland.com/4255607/call-downward-review-utme-fee However, government should realize that the jamb fee isn't just the problem but the plethora of ways perfected by JAMB and the institutions in 'obtaining' the candidates officially. Some of these are: I. Data correction fee of #2500 II. The post utme fee that could be as high as #10 000 etc |
Ok |
So the Adeyanju guy was right after all. Anyways, it's campaign period and crowd whether rented or genuine add color to the season |
Omoboricash:Maybe you were there or watched it live. The pictures on this thread does not show any of the other SW governors in attendance. When will you people stop threatening anyone with diverse opinion with the lagoon. Is this not democracy again and must all of us submit to the dictates of one person? Please grow up. And come 2019, there will be winners and loosers but guess what, there will also be a realignment. So you see, retirement of perceived foes may not be that easy. |

No sir. That's not acceptable. If he has committed any crime, the court rooms aren't there for decoration. Please prosecute him as deterrent to others and leave God to judge him as he wishes. |
I thought it has been settled that that state is Osun State and not the State of Osun as Aregbesola would have it called. There is obviously a disquiet in Southwest APC or how would anyone explain the absence of other Southwest APC governors ( Amosun, Akeredolu, Fayemi and Ajimobi) at the inauguration of another APC governor in their region. A clear writing on the walls for Tinubu. These are the men that would be commissioned to cut him to size in the region when the time comes. |
I am an apostle of the saying that two wrongs don't make a right. But in this case, why should 5 members be in control of the assembly as opposed to 21 other members. I have heard of the tyranny of the majority but not tyranny of the minority. |
When government owned stations are cesspit of propaganda, we took solace in the private owned stations for succour. Channels can still regain her fading glory. I have a soft spot for that station |
Seems there are always some elements of truth in every rumor. |
With the Babaringa dollar-stuffing videos, Ganduje should not be seen where anti corruption is being discussed. Even if the videos were fake, he had the opportunity to clear his name but blew it by asking court to stop further investigation and also halt his accusers from releasing more damning videos. What a guilty conscience! The joke is on him and the organizers of the phoney marathon who turned blind eyes to the obvious sleaze. Like some would say, 'How much is one Gandollar to a Naira today?' |
Ok |
PDP and other opposition parties are actually mild for not attempting to blow the attack out of the roof. One can imagine what Uncle Lai and his team would have done had the attack and media blackout happened four years ago. But wait o, why would the owner and founder of America University be unable to get America Visa? This life self. |
The deafening silence of the presidency on the recent attack by Boko Haram has left much to be desired. Granted that the government maybe embarrassed by the ruthless attack of a group it claimed to have decimated, courtesy still demands that the slain soldiers be properly recognized. Someday those who have turned the insurgency into a money spinning business shall be disgraced. |
Whatever happens within a political party should ordinarily not be the business of ACF, Afenifere, Ohaneze and other sociocultural groups. What has the President from South West of North done to the standard of living of the people from their regions. I heard Bosnia is to have 3 Presidents now. Maybe Nigeria should consider 6 presidents to cure us of this chronic tribalism. |
This singular act should give lovers of democracy goosebumps especially about 2019. |

All we want is isuue based campaign devoid of hate speech and propaganda. Each of them should present a feasible road map that will lead the nation out of this conundrum. Please let no party tell us the other parties are corrupt as we now know better. Thank you to all Buharideens and Atikulators as you comply. |
Oshiomole is right. Mr Chairman needs to heap all the praises on the president since he is the only one capable of saving his neck right now. He should watch it not to also incur the wrath of more number of emperor governors who wouldn't like his new song about the contentious minimum wage. My personal opinion about the minimum wage is that Labour should agitate first for the reduction in the gargantuan wastages in governance. Force elected government officials and their appointees to cut down their allowances. If the inflation isn't curtailed, 50k minimum will still be rendered useless in a couple of months |
Ehn ehn. What about security votes, estacodes and other sundry allowances? Who needs salary of paltry 600k when the security vote and other allowances run into hundreds of millions of naira. Ogbeni talk another one joor. |
They could respond swiftly to an audio but have been incoherent as regards a video evidence clearly showing the actor in the act. How hypocritical can people be? |
Even though I doubt very much if Uncle Dele met with anyone, but his description of the 'Buharideens' was apt and they aren't in short supply. Every politician has his cult of followers. As the campaign kicks today, we will see them display their support and fanatism here. Buharideens and Atikudeens should present to us issue based campaigns devoid of propaganda laced with character assassination. |
