The same people who roasted INEC for liking a post that discredited Obi are praising NTA for praising Obi , when I say these people ain’t sincere they’ll resort to insult . They’re just after power nothing more nothing less don’t expect them to be objective when their candidate is doing the wrong thing Power.
All I see all over again is a semblance of the 'Sai Baba' chanters in 2014.

If some people truly stockpile the old notes for whatever reason, the government has enough machineries to trail and burst them.
This is what Ahmad's principal should have done and not throw the entire nation into confusion.

In the formation of APC...are you forgetting that ANPP was a part of the set up?

Ogbonnaya Onu was the leader that collapsed his ANPP structure into the same basket with CPC and ACN. So don't make it seem as if ACN was the only Yoruba brand as at that time. There was SDP also being chaired by a Yoruba person...and they didn't work with ACN then.

So when trying to justify this obvious anomaly understand that you made Atiku enter the race. If the IGBOs were in the ballot in APC..the PDP would have chosen Peter OBI easily.

It's the NONSENSE scam called southern unity that exposed the true intent of the Yoruba. It wasn't for equity..it was for greedy power appropriation. This narrative is being supported by most Yoruba members of APC..like Abike Dabiri and co. Who feel IGBOs should subject themselves to their useless political calculations.

I love as things played out..because now.. people see you for what you rep.

Thank you
There hasn't ever been anything southern unity, except, maybe in 2011 when GEJ was majorly supported as a Southern project.

Don't make it look like the fault is solely for the Yorubas.

If there was a southern unity, Ekweme wouldn't have hotly contested the PDP primaries against Obj in 1998.

Even at that Obasanjo wasn't the candidate of the Yorubas. It was clearly Olu Falae. Was Falae supported by the Igbos? Clearly no! Where was the southern unity? Maybe if Onu's APP had cooperated, Falae would have won the elections.

As at the point of forming APC, ACN has 6 Govs and many other members of the NASS and state assemblies. Same cannot be said of Onu's ANPP. So if we consider what parties are bringing unto the table, you will agree that ACN has a clear advantage. The East even showed clear disdain for APC. How would the party then throw it's ticket into a hostile region? How's that Yorubas' fault?

PDP had its primaries first where Atiku went away with the ticket. How's that the fault of the Yorubas? No prominent Igbo person gave him a hot contest.

There's nothing like Southern unity even right from Awo and Zik time, and the blame should be mutual. I do not think a tribe should be singled out for blame.

Even in 1993, Abiola, the Yoruba candidate, was defeated in all Eastern states, except Anambra.

You are going in circles and trying to evade a direct question..

Obasanjo was President

Osibanjo was Vice President

Why cant IGBO people be allowed to Rule...

why must Yoruba be "talking southern" unity but at the same time sabotaging the rotation of elective posts in the South.

THAT IS MY QUESTION...
This is your question Why cant IGBO people be allowed to Rule..

I do not understand what you mean by not allowing any Igbo people to rule. I do not know of anytime any person was denied the right to contest the presidential election because he/she is of Igbo extraction? Even Late Ikemba contested elections.
Perhaps you are expecting every other persons to step down and unanimously adopt Igbo candidates in their parties. This, my brother, will require some high level negotiations, maneouvering, lots of give and take and not through Nzogbu Nzogbu brand of politics ( apologies to Gov Soludo)

My opinion is that Igbo invested heavily in PDP ( instead of APGA), it's therefore shocking that they allowed someone else robbed them of that party's ticket. It will be hypocritical to expect those that laboured and built APC to such status easily ' gift ' their ticket to someone from a region that has shown disdain to the party.

Finally, Obasanjo contested the PDP primaries and the elections proper, he was not dashed the power. Ditto for Osinbajo.

I wish gbo will build APGA into a big brand and a negotiations platform, just like Yorubas build ACN.

So if Yemi Osibanjo was on the Ballot...you will support him to be president??

I need to understand something..

Where is the equity and fairness in not allowing the SE a shot at the presidency??

As everybody stepped down for Yoruba after June 12...so IGBOs dont deserve an unreserved shot at the presidency??

Abeg answer me this question..abeg
The truth has to be said someday and the record put straight.

It's a lie that the Yorubas enjoyed any special privilege in 1999.
Alex Ekweme keenly contested the PDP primaries with Obasanjo and would have defeated him if not for the backing of the North and the ex-military Generals.

Ogbonaya Onu also of Igbo tribe contested the presidential election under APP.

If the APP had worked with Falae's AD ( the candidate of the Yoruba) Falae could have won the election.

So basically, it's LIE that others stepped down for the Yoruba to compensate them for June 12.

Politics › Re: Anyone Supporting Buhari Is Mad. Even USA President Cannot Disobey Supreme Court by LibertyRep: 6:42pm On Feb 17, 2023
Those supporting him were, until this naira crisis, his major critics who curse him day and night here.

They only support him now to spite their political foe who they think might be the receiving end of this shabby implementation of a fine policy.

But then if majority of the sudden critics of Mr. Buhari had been doing so and speaking up years back, maybe he wouldn't have the effontery to flagrantly disobey the order of the Supreme Court.

Except anyone can point to anything tangible we benefit from Abacha's returned loot.

A simple broadcast from Buhari or Emefiele will douse the tension and calm frayed nerves.

But no, Buhari won't talk to the nation until it gets to the boiling point.
Politics › Re: Old Naira Notes Remain Legal Tender - Supreme Court by LibertyRep:
A simple broadcast from Buhari or Emefiele will douse this tension and set the records straight.

The banks will wait for directives from their regulator, the CBN.

Fueling stations and supermarkets who reject the money pinned it on the fact that banks have stopped collecting it from them.

Cab drivers won't collect it because fuelling stations are rejecting it.

Then this percolates to the nooks and crannies of the community.

A simple directive from Emefiele to the banks will douse this tension.

Why do people who support this ongoing cash crisis feel this is all about a particular politician?
To them, it does not matter if everyone dies or their business collapses as long as it suits their political narrations.

Suddenly, Emefiele becomes the golden son, someone they've cursed day and night a while ago.

You don't understand, the crisis Emefiele and Buhari has plunged the country into is needless.

I marvel at people urging the duo to continue because they felt it hurts the chances of their political opponents.
Bunch of opportunists who do not care if the masses die as long as their aim is served.

Buhari and Emefiele may both be unwittingly plunging the nation into a needless and avoidable crisis.

The economy of the people is being badly affected by this draconic and poorly implemented policy.

It's even ludicrous that some opportunists are urging them on just because they feel their political opponents will be affected not minding if the masses suffer more.

It's going to be a tough call.

The thought of another Fulani succeeding Buhari is ludicrous.

But then, the tension and level of bile brewing between Igbos and Yoruba, especially online, is also worrisome.

The PDP structure may sway the vote to Atiku.
Politics › Re: CBN Crisis: Confusion As Traders, Drivers Reject Old Naira Notes by LibertyRep: 1:52pm On Feb 14, 2023
The chaotic implementation of this policy is regrettable.

What I found most disturbing is that it has further exposed some opportunists and their headless mobs to be anti masses.

They just want the suffering of the masses to persist just because they feel their political opponents would be discredited by it.

Or how do one explain that some people are still urging Buhari and Emefiele on?
Same Buhari and Emefiele they have cursed repeatedly in the near past for being utter failures.

It is fine for anyone to accuse the governors of ulterior motives in this naira scarcity but you can't fault the fact that ordinary Nigerians have been at the receiving ends of this ill-thought policy, and not the governors and their immediate family members.

The governors should just grow some balls and direct their angers to the President and not the 'inmocent' CBN governor.
