Why attack the governor's office when he has no control over the naira redesign and petrol scarcity, the twin cause of their agitation? Soon it will be tagged a political or ethnic agenda. Don't play into the hands of the oppressors. |

The President should be at alert. Once the people are stretched to the breaking point, the reactions could be spontaneous |
If only we all can unite against our oppressors. Imagine someone already seeing the alleged riot from ethnic prism as if the suffering excludes a particular ethnic group. |
Hopefully, this won't be a parting gift to some people. |
Wow. That's impressive! Dangote should complete his refinery soon. Arsenal is waiting. My eyes are on Chelsea FC. By the way, we need to improve our local leagues and make the clubs attractive. Imagine if this man buys and pumps money into Eyimba, Dangote to Kano Pillars and Otedola to Shooting stars. Then garnish the league with enough media hype, sponsors will show face and boom, things may start to improve. We need to get it right this time. |
At this juncture, they should all be bold enough to direct their vituperations/ advice to the man who appointed Emefiele. Someone says POS operators are now collecting Tithes. The attendant effect of this is that prices of goods will skyrocket, making a bad situation worse. |
Lawyers are indeed cashing out. |
Someday, the Igbos will emancipate themselves from this self inflicted injury. Some miscreants can't just hold an entire region info ransom. Not even an Igbo nation with lots of brilliant people. There's no need to blame some external hands in this, everyone saw it coming, condemned them at the teething stage but some people from that region kept urging them on. There still an ample time to save the Igbo nation from the claws of these miscreants. |
These people should grow some balls and direct their vituperations to the man Emefiele reports to. Clearly, he couldn't have been able to do this without the serious backing of his boss. Why crucify the errand boy while leaving the master? |
This attack is definitely aimed at dissuading people from participating in the forthcoming elections. But why is it convenient to blame Tinubu or any other outsider for this is what I don't understand? In the early days of the attack, anyone who attempted to condemn them are labelled One Nigerianist and called all sort of names, I bet they didn't see the possibility of an Igbo person being a front contender for the presidency post. As it is, it is never too late to retrace the steps and call the miscreants to order. The Igbo elders know what to do. Stop blaming everyone else for this self inflicted misfortune, the Igbos have enough eggheads than to be dictated to by some miscreants. It's never too late to act. |
This policy implementation is chaotic. How can two men be playing Ludo with the welfare and wellbeing of over 200million Nigerians? |
Nigerians need to reduce emotions attached to this brouhaha. I can't believe that same people who had once cursed both Buhari and Emefiele for gross incompetence suddenly find them upright and would defend them at all cost! This must be because they perceived this hurriedly put, and badly implemented policy seems to affect their political enemies, not minding that the masses are further plunged into avoidable pains. It is even ridiculous that some are urging the CBN governor to shun the National Assembly. |
But what if the P**sy she wrote there meant her Popsy? |
If this will bring an end to the lingering fuel crisis, so be it. Someone has to speak up anyways. Who would have thought that fuel will be #400 per liter and NLC wouldn't have grounded the country? Let's not even talk about the power supply. On top of these twin evil of power and fuel scarcity, a certain Gov without state decided to increase the frustration. ATM in the banks around here are not loaded with cash, the banking hall could be mistaken for a market. Someone has to speak up, after all. |
Peaceful protest is allowed, even for the most ridiculous and bizarre reasons. Let no one resort into violence. |
How can a government be this insensitive to the plight of the people? This lingering fuel crisis is more than two months now and a certain FG somewhere is just waking up? By the way what's the power situation in your area, compatriots? The twin evil of power and fuel scarcity is frustrating. |
All of a sudden, pump price of PMS rose to between ₦260 - ₦300 amidst near zero power supply a few weeks to elections. APC should do a self appraisal on this self destruct they've embarked upon, EXCEPT they're sure of a magic wand in the INEC that will win elections for them. The masses are justifiable angry with the government. |
Very well. Talk of putting your best foot forward But why would some of these same Governors appoint Lawyers, for instance, as Commissioners for Education? Politics of balancing. |
Somebody may not atten if it clashes with the candidate's long drawn schedule. Somebody may find a means to attend even if it clashes with his schedules. The two are looking for the same job |
City! Something isn't right with this club. |
Allisgud:I carry chair Siddon dey wait for responses to this post. |
Aside from those who personally and directly benefit from this government, I need someone neutral to give a good reason why any average Nigerian should be on the queue to vote for anything APC. But then where are the alternatives? Sighs |
The report said the ceasefire was unilateral, which may not require Ukraine to accept or reject. |
What manner of reportage is this? Now it's obvious that some media are bent on adding more fuel to the raging fire? After saying all these, the PPRO ended by asserting that this isn't to absolve him as he's facing the music and that Lagos State Govt and not the police is prosecuting him. This headline is pure gaslighting and I urge the MODs to take it down. |
This is the height of wickedness. A whole family wiped out like that! |
Chief Dr. Obasanjo should apologize to Eedris Abdulkareem for the irreparable damage he did to Eedris career. That does not invalidate his criticisms of this government. |
In retrospect, OBJ owes Eedris Abdulkareem an unreserved apology. |
Happy Prosperous 2023 |
They will most likely make him a scape goat to satisfy the public outcry. Where is the officer that killed a man in that same division a while ago? How about the police officer in the Speaker's convoy that shot and killed a newspaper vendor sometimes ago? Who will take responsibility for the couple killed by the convoy of a Senator in Akwa Ibom? |
Wise man, not like he stood a chance before. |
