Its unfortunate that as a desk officer working with ovc's ( orphans and vulnurable children) under HIV/AIDS project you are still ignorant about HIV/AIDS facts... There ways to have sex or make love to an Hiv positive partners.. After all how do discondant couples( a situation where one of the partners positive and the other is negative)make love and give birth to hiv negative children.

She revealed her status...you don't know ur current hiv status( you wont get infected in Jesus name) u need to run two test in space of six months using a determinant kit( cause it has a more accurate result)

Lets leave sex

Do u have ur own hair clipper? If u don't and u share how do u sterilize it... I hope its not those fake sterilizing equipments used in saloons

Do u have ur own manicure sets?

There are other things to look out for...

Seems to me there are still many nairalanders that are ignorant about hiv facts

I would to create a topic teaching nairalanders about hiv facts and prevention.

Bro, I not trying to discredit you. But saying you knew lil Wayne in 2001? He's been raping then but he was an also-ran 2000/2001 was when hip hop and Jamaican songs peaked and there's absolutely no way you'll listen a bullshit song from lil Wayne when you Nas, Jay z, mystikal, DMX, eve and other legends killing it. Matter of fact if those legends were still topping charts lil Wayne will never rise above the low level rapper he was then. And I think there was no cashmoney then? I think they call themselves bigtimerz then? (Not sire though) and they only had one good song which they only featured R Kelly in it

As for snoop Dogg, any rap enthusiast would know him cos he was breaking bread with the gods. He was with Tupac, Dre, Suge Kmight and the others before ge released doggystyle
No you were listening to the very popular artiste in 2000 but I was listening to everybody both popular and unpupolar...

I listened to rap mixtapes my uncle makes for his customers especially those from festac, satellite and its environs... So I was opportuned to listen to lots of artiste ....

Cash money was the group or label that had lil Wayne and juvenile and others not big timers its a pity I have forgotten the name of who had cash money at that time.
Celebrities › Re: The Shameful Fall Of TerryG: A Lesson For Commercial Artistes by lifenajeje(m): 6:06am On Nov 19, 2015
I first read about LILWAYNE when he has 19 in 2001 when SOURCE magazine spotlighted CASH MONEY BOYS which comprises of JUVENILE( ah ya ya ya ya ya ya ah ya ya ya ya ya ya .... Trying to keep up with my crew...remember him .

I heard his song was it 2002/2003 can't remember exact year and i have forgotten the title but its something about dee jays in my uncles studio DJ eddy fynn( hygroove) later that song was on rhythm top 7 jams at 7..

Music business it easy and it takes luck, hard work and determination.. There are artiste whose first set of works won't pay off... For instance I knew snoop before first popular album ...usher before u remind me of a girl...fifty cents before in the club...

There are others with luck their first single gets accepted.

It takes just one song to make an artiste very popular and that song may not even be his favorite on his album....

Lilwayne has been on but its only those who are deep into hip hop would know him years before lollipop ...i was opportune to listen to these artiste cos my uncle buys records, does recordings and subscribed to the source magazine....

To the subject matter TERRY G.. He is a very talented and superfine artiste, producer and entrepreneur...
O.p did u ever listen to his first three songs especially the one he featured 2shots those were clean Nigeria hip hop/r and b and it was the instrumentals that the likes of j martins, p square ,timaya and others sampled at that time..

What he does puts money in his account..love it or leave it...it may surprise u he can also rap... And I bet u he can freestyle.

Do u know of davidos earlier songs before Ema ba mi duro?

If u are an entertainer you must know what put foods on the table ...

Tho may surprise u but I knew basket mouth first as a rapper.. Gordons first in an accapella group dc envoys before he moved to comedy..

Op na only Nairaland I know u..... It takes hard work for anyone to be out there terry h would soon surprise u with another hit.

So in other word, he should marry an HIV+ person ? Anyone can be positive and we should not discriminate but I won't advise you to marry an infected person.
Yes if he can live with it
No if he can't live it it....if u read my post well u will see where I talked about discordant couples..meaning one of the partner has the virus and the other does not have and there are millions of them allover the world blessed with HIV negative children.

Its better to marry someone who is positive and living with HIV , accessing treatment and takes the treatment seriously than other chronic illness I don't want to mention.

HIV NO DEY KILL.
Romance › Re: My Girlfriend Is HIV/AIDS Positive What Do I Do? by lifenajeje(m): 7:31am On Oct 14, 2015
Hmmmm. Shows people are still ignorant about HIV.

Op Don't be surprise if a test is conducted using a determinant kit its you who would come out with a positive result.. Symptoms of different illness are alike so she may not be positive until a determine kit reveals so.

For the general house ...we have discordant ( one of the partner is living with HIV) and corcondant ( both partners are living with the virus). In both senarios there are millions of people happily married allover the world.

Don't abandon your love one cause of HIV else u would loose something special.

Marriage is a thing of the mind its either you are ready or not... If u can't marry someone that is positive you let the person know the truth and keep on being friends with the person. There are lots of issues that would make one not to settle down with their partner and they bring up other excuses.

What most people don't know is that there are lots of virgins who are living with the virus as I type this.. These are innocent children who were infected from birth with the virus before the emergence of PMTCT(Prevention of Mother To Child Transfer) presently people ignorantly still give birth to positive children who would grow up and get married.... What am trying to say is you could end up marrying a virgin but don't know he or she is positive with HIV..

SEX is not the only means which HIV is transmitted.. How many guys on nairaland have personal hair clippers .. How many ladies use their own hair pin.. Forget those crap about sterilising equipment..using lighters to burn clippers..clinically it's only bleach that can kill the virus..but as humans we can't drink bleach.....

Op even if that lady turns out positive u abandon her and she commences treatment someone better than you will know her value and keep her.

We all have different problems in life ...what u don't know about seek advice from the right channel always.
Family › Re: Women, Childbirth And Laziness by lifenajeje(m): 8:03pm On Oct 09, 2015
OP every one be it male or female need to stay healthy.

Loosing weight takes determination. Especially for women who had given birth. Its not an easy task even for single guys and ladies , married men inclusive not to talk about a female that has given birth common...

Our body metabolism are different those with high metabolic rate would never add weight while those with low metabolism have tendencies to add weight except they engadge in activities that can increase their body metabolism like eating the right combination of foods and regular physical activities.

DERTERMINATION DETERMINATION DETERMINATION is key to loosing weight.

Encouragement and others are not necessary.

Let me use my wife as an example..we are blessed with two kids through C.S once the child clocks six months she starts exercising her tummy by doing sit ups on the bed before she stands up from it..she combines her food to make sure it contains all classes of food in little proportions and ....sorry before I forget she drinks warm water for three months from baby's arrival..she chews garlic once in a while at night( brush ur teeth with toothpaste that have mint like oral b pro health so ur mouth does not smell or cut in pieces and swallow if u don't want it smelling in ur mouth)
She only does jogs or perform aerobics when she feels she has eaten too much. Cos once in a while she derails in her meal plan especially when I come back with the goodies(u know go see better berbecued chicken and ice cream commot eye u must keep ur loose weight program one side). These activities make her shed weight gained by giving birth.

I never for once compliment her or encourage her..

Its me her husband who keeps adding weight.. Its not laziness cos if I decide to exercise I can undergo strenuous aerobics for over an hour but its is the bad eating habit and lack of determination that brings me back to square one.

Exercise three days or two weeks stop for one full month etc...

So O.P what works for my wife may not work for others but in conclusion there are those with emotional stress, work stress, financial stress and family stress plus other problems not listed that will make them not loose weight.

If u can't loose weight please keep fit.

Fake patients and Fake doctors all over Nairaland..You should know a scam mail if u see one... If cure for HIV comes out it will be MOST AIRED BREAKING NEWS and the founder or founders(don't know if the English is right ) would receive Nobel prize for health etc....

Its only bleach that can kill the virus clinically but this is not ideal for humans to drink (abeg no read this go drink bleach oh...PLS DONT DRINK BLEACH OH).

Trials are still ongoing but we hope for a breakthrough soonest.

Presently there are treatment centres across the country I.e Teaching hospitals, General hospitals and Private clinics involve in the treatment..

The treatment involves the administering of drugs to patients that are eligibible for it( FMH CD4 <350 / WHO CD4 500) and those not eligible for drugs (Not everyone who is HIV POSITIVE needs drugs) monitoring and evaluating patients through periodic test that the patients undergo.

This is with the aim of increasing the Body immune system and suppressing the amount of virus in the body so a patient lifespan can increase.

Me self I get so if cure come I go happy...

HERPES and every other opportunistic infections related to HIV disappear once your immune system gets back on track.

In other news if u desire private treatment using the FMH /WHO standard or love to procure drugs( especially for those travelling out as most of the goverment institutions can't give you more than 2/3 months supply ) you can contact me on 07038149252.

Mrshroud:
If you want to be assured of your financial security as you leave your Job for music , you'll have to do the following.

While still at your Job,

Record a hit song that will guarantee a once in a lifetime shoot to fame and musical relevance in the country.

From my observation, you have the money.

Now if you do a song that's not a top chart material, and you push it with all your resources and money, you will still fail.

For you to be launched into prominence, you do not need good songs, you need a great song , that will best the most played highlife song in the Country.
You said your genre is Highlife, you'll need a song that'll give Flavour , or any other highlife celebrity a run for his money.

You need a team of great minds, musically shrewd minds who can spot a hit song when they see one, and not studio sycohpants and praise singers who will praise every effort you make at the studio even the dumbest.

You need someone who can identify and help you understand what sells in Nigeria.
In asmuch as you want to acheive your dreams with your kind of music you want to be guaranteed of your financial security.

So at first you'll need a song that will make you the hottest artist in Nigeria at first, not necessarily the most original, but even both can be achieved depending on you. You need a song that will make you the artiste that has to be on every show, that earns the six figure pay per show.

And that, you can not achieve without due consultation of Musically objective minds.

A song Like 'woju' For instance , prior to woju, kiss daniel had only one song on the internet titled 'shoye', he worked with a not too competent producer and that song wasn't impressive.

He needed a song with the instrumental dexterity and commercially catchy nature of 'woju' and the right promotion and push to break the nigerian market.

He didn't need just a great producer, he needed a great producer to work with him like his life depended on it, he needed this producer to employ all his best to achieve the hit that woju has now become.

I've heard DJ coublon produce not too great other beats apart from 'woju' and 'laye' which is my case study.

Yes you have the money, you can hire the services of sarz, or legendary beats, or don Jazzy. But will they work for you like their everything depends on it ? Or will they produce something typical that will shine your name on blogs and magaZine while your deployed publicity budget lasts?

Those big producers are business men, and will offer you all the time that you can afford to pay for. But what you need

You need a team bro. You need a producer that will feel you. A producer that's not business driven a producer that's prolific yet thirsty and ambitious for fame and prominence.

And that is where the challenge lies.

If you can find that one producer , that can bring out the best, that can put on the table something new and different yet successful, something that even while been cooked up has began smelling successful already. then I can guarantee your musical and financial prosperity in the industry. And once your name becomes a household name due to that one song, then be rest assured that even if you sing thrash afterwards as long as its on a good beat , you'll still smile to the bank. That's the Nigerian Music market for you. Bro

Your status as an employed is even advantageous as you'll need all the resources you can muster to push your songs to the required heights before the song in return starts doing the financial talking for you.[/quote)

he has said it all....... In addition to that you might have a good voice, stunning look, finance but you may not be destined for music. its a risk (like every business one have to take)...

don't resign ur work yet....you can hit the studio during your off days,,,get the song produced then promote it.....if its accepted better..
you can have ur independent label or get signed by a music label.

resign your job only when you get signed by another label and not your own outfit.

least I forget....before u hit the studio make sure u have three times the money production and promotion is gonna cost you cos if music does not work out you have savings to fall on and continue your job cos its a risky venture....

I was in this same situation 2011 but my own case had to do with my wife during her service year...... I was earning 50k then yearned for extra income...

nobody would take care of your child more than the mother but in such situation you need a near perfect alternative...

bringing in your siblings means inconveniencing their programs....except either of you have one that is emotionally attached to children.a sibling is additional expenses especially if the person is not understanding enough....na that time ur family go hear say Una dey eat with no meat....the burden can be much on your sibling and it brings bad blood....i had experience from both sides..but there are good siblings who can do the job if they are free....like my immediate younger sis or my wife's elder sis anytime they are around even till date I and my wife go sleep in a hotel for 2 days- 2 weeks...but the rest of our siblings is a no no.

there are good nannies but where do u find one?cos percentage of my friends with bad experience far more than good.

there are daycares that can take care of even a week old baby...ask around from neighbors ,,,church or mosque members , colleagues.... Some don't even have sign boards but are sure good.

say ur location as someone on nairaland can recommend one to you....

lastline...be sure you can pay for the daycare from your budget for at least three months cos if your wife happens to work in an organization that owes salary sorry na your name....i say this cos my wife insisted she will pay for daycare with her allowed cos I had to give her feeding and transport money then but she did not get paid for the first three months and she pledge the one she received in camp for something.

your wife should start work on Monday after u see a good daycare ...

All I ask for is after the announcement of the results is peace and politicians should stand by the peace accord.

Now the big question is whether any incoming governor or president will continue developmental programs like social infrastructures his predecessor was yet to accomplish before living office...

this is what I believe has taken us back with lots of abandoned projects.

I want a situation where if KOWA party wins Lagos it should continue with the mile2 okoko road project and completes it....not cancelling it and starting the same project using another route....
scrapping LAWMA and replacing it with a new waste disposal organization.

Continuity in governance irrespective of the political party that wins if implemented at the federal and state levels i believe our country would be more developed.

lastly.....there are two sides to a coin.....we can never agree on issues...even within our immediate families there is politics but no matter the argument, contradictions among others there is nothing like having peace.....

I want to move about freely on a daily basis and get the bread.

Lol.....ignorance of the law is not an excuse you for jeje collect ur four crates of 7 up.....am not a lawyer but this is the case before you if I can remember my business law class of 1999.... You did not suffer shock, injury or emotional distress from using the product.. It is still corked. But your lawyer's argument would be if u had decided to drink it the dark with no light trusting 7up products u may have suffered shock, injury or emotional stress and the rest. Its a fifty fifty chance here winning the case of which if you win 7 up will compensate you...but if you don't you would pay your lawyer his fees you will pay for seven up legal fees and might get sued by the company....the suer becomes the sued ....u don't need human rights lawyer .all you need is a good civil lawyer...nobody will kill you....meet a good lawyer and he will enlighten you more so u would know if you have a case or not.law is very tricky... Wish you the best
