Are you saying government should not do anything about this?

Nigerians are easily fooled .

He scraps Trillions spent on fuel subsidy.
So where is the Trillions that was spent?

He has given loans to students so that when they graduate they are saddled with debts and above all they won't protest his stolen mandate.

We have forgotten how he pocketed Lagos, now his children are hoovering around the pocket the money from fuel subsidy.

Meanwhile the poor don't know that he is giving them debt to carry for life
Sorry, what's your point exactly? Do you have problems with these policies? If he has the gut to institute them, he will have the will for their robust implementation

And young people see nothing wrong with this?

Also see the amount of people that even voted for yari. That should be a worry.

And the akpabio that was put there is not because they love him like that. It was because he steeped that for tilimbu during the primaries and therefore all the billions that got lost under his watch during the "off your mic" saga alll forgotten.

This is why many people still want peter obi and are still interested in the case. All these impunity has to stop. angry
But it could have been all Muslim if not for the tenacity of PBAT. Your fellow Christian, Senator Elisha nominated Senator Yari another Muslim for the post of Senate President

AdvanceDNA, Ogechi98, Harddiskng, and faceLAGOS due to your comments in my previous post you have a chance to win a paid meal worth twelve thousand naira. The first among you to post a video of yourself begging me for money will receive the prize. My Twitter handle is @Merryondred.

I don't understand why you see such little spending as a big deal. I have assisted guys with their school fees and helped guys who are still struggling with their businesses financially. I did not attach any strings to my help. In fact, I am still a virgin. I am not rich, but I spare a part of my little earnings to help others, regardless of their gender. I made my first million by grace and I help other people in order to show my gratitude to God.

At the age of twenty-seven, going on twenty-eight, I have gained several business and travel experiences. I struggled very hard to make money, and I ventured into several businesses. I have never requested money from any guy.

Before taking a lady out on a date, let her know your financial capability. If a lady orders beyond your budget, ask her to pay for her own food. You don't need to publicly embarrass her. It is inhumane and unfair to spite someone because of food. If everybody decides to behave like this, the world would be so unbearable.

I would like to take this moment to express my gratitude to Viju Milk Company and Rite Food Limited. They gave me the opportunity to become a distributor at their reputable companies without any connections. I made my first million through these companies.
I hope Seun bills you for the advertisement

Every family in the former Biafra owes thanks to Awolowo, a prominent member of an administration that blockaded them, used starvation as instrument of war, bombed them, destroyed thier towns and cities, just to uphold a 'one Nigeria' that has today proved to be a monumental disaster? This man head correct so?

Awolowo and Gowon are war criminals

Every time Reno Omokiri talks about Igbos, he forgets his brains at home.

The man is a classic example of a typical Nigerian who hates Igbos, but will never support the same Igbos to exit Nigeria as the independent state of Biafra

Real madness
You are shifting the basis of Reno's argument. What he did here is to debunk the lies that have pervaded Igbo land that Awolowo gave 20 pounds to them irrespective of their bank balance

How else do you want to transmit results to Abuja and Mahmood started announcing results less than 24 hours after the close of elections. Election closed 6 PM on Saturday 25th February and by Sunday evening Mahmood Yakubu has started announcing results, how did the results get to Abuja? By WhatsApp or by Okada?
These argument won't give victory to PDP, I expected more

Again, I'm observing that the argument of PDP will amount to nothing if it's only about Bvas not working and not about Substantial discrepancies in the election figures and declared figures.

The law required INEC to transmit results from the polling units.

Transmitting results,24hrs later, implied that the transmission was not from the polling units!
Did the law says only Bvas could transmit results?

If INEC knew that uploading election results would not affect the outcome of the Election, why then introduce BVAS and IReV? Why assure Nigerians, the parties and the national assembly that it will employ BVAS and IReV to eliminate the controversies associated with manual collation of results in previous elections? Why collect N400 billion to from national assembly to employ the system?
Bvas worked, it was used for accreditation. It was the Uploading of result into IREV that didn't function. Bad enough, the concern of PDP should have been demonstrating that the results declared is different from the actual votes. That's what I expected

Signs of weakness is allover him.
1. He signed a very useless and unimplementable agreement with ASUU
2. He couldn't arrest terrorists troubling his government even though he claimed to know them (he should have arrested Buhari then and nothing will happen)
3. He couldn't implement the Confab recommendations of which he spent lions on
4. He reversed himself on subsidy removal (this one was worst)

This country belongs to all of us and not BAT alone. BAT is not an Emperor. If Nigerians say no to subsidy removal, then no it shall be.
It's not as simple as that.
The responsibility of Leaders is to have visions and set agenda for the followers to go along with. Any leader who kowtow to followers ceases to be one and is not deserving being a leader. BAT canvassed votes with removal of subsidy as core, he didn't hide it and he won election, why should he not go ahead if he's to be seen as credible

PoliticsRe: Subsidy Removal: N30,000 Minimum Wage No Longer Realistic – Workers by Lifestone(m): 6:49pm On Jun 02, 2023
samwillyco1:
Subsidy removal is good but the timing and it's policy is bad.
Firstly, why can't the government mandate the oil companies in Nigeria to build a working modular refinery before removing the subsidy.
Secondly, this set of politicians will find their life style from the money saved from subsidy instead of investing it in infrastructural/industrial sectors of the economy, wait and see how they will play the citizens of this country.
At the current price, the local modular refinery will fail as they can't cover their operational costs and make economic profit at the current price without paying them subsidy.
For instance, Dangote will still sell at international price which will fluctuate with the exchange rate. Refining locally also won't stop smuggling to neighboring countries.
Your second point is my main concern and I do hope that with this pain, Nigerian's disposition to corrupt leaders will be more decisive.

PoliticsRe: Subsidy Removal: N30,000 Minimum Wage No Longer Realistic – Workers by Lifestone(m): 2:55pm On Jun 02, 2023
airsaylongcome:
This your question is the real crux of the matter. The problem isn't subsidy. Nigeria isn't the first country to subsidize consumption for it's citizens. Even the great US subsidizes consumption for Americans. Ask the maize farmers. But here in Naija, the problem is that the importers of petrol (who are mostly businessmen friendly with the government) have decided that they will inflate the reported consumption for their benefit. If the government focused on attacking that demographic to eliminate that corruption, our subsidy bill would be almost negligible or at the least very tolerable. But no, they want to slaughter Nigerians to the benefit of their business cronies.
Maize farmers you said. Production
