In a more saner clime, foetus with sickle cells, or other disabilities are aborted while they are still in the womb to reduce the burdens on the couples and society but unfortunately in Nigeria, most parents would shy away from the truth, give birth to these kids and start running around looking for help that could have been avoided. Most guys who claim to be logical only do so when it concerns areas that will favor them but become emotional if it concerns an area like religion cos whether you believe it or not religion deals with feelings and feelings are emotional not logical.

Bros, don’t give birth to a child when you’re not financially capable cos you will suffer so much that even the poor will be pitying you cos you decided to put a burden on yourself that you don’t have the strength to carry.

Well, she has to decide what she wants to do next. Try to make sure the owner of the pregnancy is identified and in the picture so he can contribute his share to her and the process. No need letting him off the hook anytime soon.

Should your sister decide to keep the baby, visit.the courts to learn the process for filing for child support and make this available to her from day one. Try to educate her so she realize that while she has to play her part in contributing to the care of the child, the law also recognizes that the man also has his share of the responsibilities to be help accountable for.

And while you are at it. Time to educate her on use of regular contraception so she does not fall victim again.
