Tunee:
Everyone in the IT industry is well aware of how rapid technology changes and will most likely be ready for any change no matter how drastic it is.
In my opinion, as long as the cloud exists, these companies will continue to bloom. Most of them even have ties with the major public cloud providers, this is because of the services they provide aside selling hardware. IBM is also a public cloud provider.

The private cloud space is still very much alive and these companies are seriously exploiting it. They sell hardware (compute, network, storage) and cloud management solutions to enterprises who still have a need for private cloud. Mind you, this is only a fraction of what they do.

HP recently restructured, bought simplivity and nimble storage, probably because they also want a share of the hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) market. They're also a major contributor to the Openstack project, even though they recently sold that division. Their enterprise division also merged with another company to form a much bigger IT service company, dxc technology.

Dell acquired EMC, so they also own VMware and other companies under EMC.

IBM acquired Softlayer which isn't doing that bad. They also have bluemix, their PaaS offering and have also invested heavily in big data, machine learning, IoT and AI with IBM Watson.

Hope you're beginning to see the trend?

These are companies who live by the mantra "Innovate or die"
They seem to have changed strategy and position themselves for the trend in the industry.

Just Like Kodak, Blackberry and Nokia, companies like Hp, Dell, IBM and the likes might die a natural death if they don't change strategy.

Cloud offerings are really taking over.

I am to do a due dilligence for a big bros considering buying land.

He is looking into Isheri North-Opic Area, Channels Side or The Ajah Ogombo - Lekki Free trade Zone (You know all these places)

Purpose: Build to Let

Which area is preferable and WHY?

Please drop a line. If you have a genuine property/land to sell as well (Not the expensive ones) Please drop a line as well

PaaS, IaaS, SaaS .. Cloud is the future... but we need solid framework and Infrastructure to achieve this.

Sorry for what happened to u. Though I would say you push to far by locking his shirt (may be alter some nasty statements as well). Is that enough justification for physical violence? NO i would say.

Foundation, Foundation, Foundation :
You got married because you got pregnant, It seems he is not ready yet, he only got married because you got pregnant.
May be you are not the one he wanted to get married to in the first instance ... The heart is deep who knows?
May be he is still feeling bad by the pregnancy trap ... who knows?

You sound like a woman that want his home to work out, A selfless person that loves his man but you are very disappointed with his behavioral attitudes.

You are wishing: Only if he could change and be open to me, Only If i know him more, I would support him more.

Before it is too late: Seek counsel, Seek God, your man need to open up.

God help you

Liverpool are showing interest in taking young Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo on loan. Swansea and West Bromwich Albion have also expressed an interest in the Nigeria international.
Omeruo, 19, has been granted a five year work permit by the Home Office but Chelsea want to loan him out so he can develop. The Nigeria centre-back can also play right-back.

I quite agree with what you saw in Nigeria.

Looking at it from a different perspective, This small companies has a lot to gain from shared services/Platform than having dedicated and underutilized resources.

What in d first instance is a small insurance company doing with a massive server, when they can share that server with other 5 small insurance firm and ensure high availability always as well as having more to spend on quality network access.

Let them share server, share license cost, share DB infrastructure, secured everything to total lockdown and have Big savings that could go into something else.

I dont know what they are worried about.
If the MD of a company can have a personal yahoo/gmail account, and can "trust" them, then why cant they use office 365.
A lot of Nigeria company host their website outside Nigeria and believe its more stable and secure , so why can@t they put their application or virtual desktop in a cloud.

A lot of company in Nigeria uses Rackspace as a Backup solution center, they can just go further and embrace Platform as a service or may be companies like DiDAtA can start cloud services with Fiber optics supplied by Glo or MTN.

Its also surprising that there is no or limited company offering Telephone conferencing in Nigeria.
