ichidodo: BokoHaramm: MrPresident1:I wish we could see the faces of folks that comment on this forum. Youngsters should learn how to approach a matter intelligently and tactfully. And if one has nothing meaningful to add to what has already been said, silence is golden. |

What do you mean by "endorse"? Are you asking for notarization of the docs? Cos that is what I think you are referring to if you are travelling outside the country, in which case you need to look for a notary Public to do that for you. |
This is an interesting piece! However, the challenge I have with this piece of info is that it will be hard confirming this report, except our government actually looks into it with eagle eyes to confirm the source and its authenticity. But mere looking at the indices, the American government and American businessmen are capable of anything, and the more interesting thing is that once a business person is American, the American government is almost always ready to support any concept that they believe will boost their political and economic power particularly coming from a citizen; I wish I could say that about Nigeria. I believe the aspect of the report with respect to the crash in oil prices, and I also know that the American Government is in some kind of deal with the Saudi Arabian Government to clip Putin's wings in his quest for Russia to supersede America in some sectors. To achieve this, we all know that America is ready and willing to do anything, and this is why there is at present a certain interesting closeness between the U.S. and the Saudi Arabia Kingdom. Now, I do not know whether Nigeria's suffering from this alliance was intended by the U.S. or it was just a mere coincidence; afterall, when 2 elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers the consequences of the fight. In any event, one thing that this whole issue has thrown up is Nigeria's over-dependence on oil and an abandonment of other sectors of the economy, including agriculture, mining, tourism, production, to mention a few. Nigeria needs to sit down and harness the gifts that God has endowed us with as a country housing many nations. AS a matter of urgency, we need to develop ourselves, or else, we are tilted in the direction of an abyss economically. And once our economy - which is the bedrock of our civilization is adversely affected - all other sectors will be torn into shreds. Just imagine a home without the ability to provide food, shelter and other basic necessities of life for its dependants. Now, what is the way forward, I believe that the Nigerian Government needs to look inward for solution instead of looking outwards. This is an opportunity for us to develop our country and bring to the fore our strengths and the things that we are good at. All the tribes in Nigeria conveniently grouped into states are good at something. We need to identify and groom what these natural talents and resources and build them into worthwhile things. Te greatest resource that Nigeria has is not the oil; it is human resource. We therefore need to tap this natural resource and put it to the maximum and best use for us to not only survive but to thrive. ... to be continued. |
I find this interesting though. The fact remains that the soldiers were complaining of something. So my question is, has the Nigerian Army or any other authority for that matter really investigated the cause of the Soldiers' rancour, complaint or discontent? If not, why? Afterall, there is no smoke without fire. Sending soldiers to face a firing squad at a time when Soldiers' morale is low is akin to flogging a child when he cries because of hunger; and no one bothers to ask the child why he was crying. I think our military authority should stop chasing shadows and start looking at the substance - Investigate the cause of the Soldiers' disobedience to authority or it is mere hypocrisy. This is my candid opinion on the matter. |
Hmmm... desperation appears to be setting in. ![]() |

jingh:I see no correlation between the events culminating in this recovery and what you posted! Also, what has God to do with thieves who conspired to steal and sell a baby? It was their choice to do what they did, and they do not need God to change their evil hearts. |

I don't get it. When your certificate gets burnt or you lose it for whatever reason, you apply to the institution who issued it to you for a certified copy otherwise called CTC. This method allegedly used by the School or individuals is rather strange and unusual. |
The title is misleading. ![]() |
ajibolabd:Does this solve the problem on ground at the moment? ![]() |
temitemi1:Does this affect the substance of the issues mentioned in the letter? Does this affect the validity of the cogent and compelling points raised in the letter? We need to reason properly before we spew out things. ![]() |
What is your motive? If your motive is to make money at the outset, you might as well just stay put in paid employment. Successful businessmen always have one thing in mind while starting up a business. Problem Solving. You will only get paid for solving problems. Dangote, Bill Gate, Otedola, Oyedepo, Oyaks, Ogunbanjos, etc are all making tons of money cos they are solving problems and meeting human needs. In essence, your business has to be relevant to the people you are targeting... to be continued |

Nigerian Legislators..... preoccupied with determining their salary scales, fringe benefit and unnecessary foreign travels, et al, since pre-1983... |
Is this not the same state where BH is killing and maiming people? If this is that state, then I need say that the state government did not get its priorities right. Not only that, whoever approved of this white elephant project in the face of looming danger to lives and properties of innocent citizens of that state is a total nincompoop. This is complete bunkum. Anyone who wants to visit Jerusalem should do so with his personal money and nothing more; ditto Hajj. This is the height of insensitivity of an irresponsible government to the plights of its citizens. ![]() |
kettykin:Nice observation; however, the comparison is inequal and uneven. This is like comparing Jonathan with Obama. You see! The levels of development, growth pattern, environmental factors, mental, social, psychological and intellectual growth and development are not the same. It is like comparing sleep with death. America and some other countries are regarded as developed countries, cos they are. However, most African countries were regarded as undeveloped but later changed to developing just to accord some level of respect to us. But it does not change the fact that many African countries walk with their brains on the grounds and think with their legs up. Refusing to grow and develop by refusing to think rationally and intellectually, just like these folks are now doing. If these guys want to stage a protest against the incumbent, it should not be because of this flimsy excuse. But then, what can I say? We are good in leaving substance and chasing after shadows in this part of the world. |
Evina:Its like the hijab extended to your legs as well. ![]() |

@ Op, the title of this thread is misleading You should probably change it to "Can anyone be this stupid and senseless," or better still, "can you trust anyone to be this stewpid and daft" |
@ OP, are you just waking up from a very long hibernation? ![]() |
Now, this is the reality on ground that attests to the sorry state of things in Nigeria. One thing I need say however is that that facebook advert or Nairaland upload will not solve the problem. The affected persons should write petitions to the CP or even the IGP and state all the relevant facts to back up their claims. We need to rise up against oppressions by police and other law enforcement agencies in this Country. But rather than rise up to the occasions by making these guys realise that we will no longer tolerate their excesses and they should stop these high handedness and exploitations and maltreatment of innocent citizens, we tend to bury our heads in the sand and cry like helpless and hopeless people. We also need to be suing the police for such and the so called police officers in their personal capacities as well, particularly as they were acting outside the colour of their office, and were therefore acting illegally and without proper authority. My humble contribution. |
waleadex: ![]() Please don't say that again before the man's psychos hear it and decide to import the things with billions of Naira. |
