The MTV Africa circus is over and done with, thank God. Of course there are those who enjoyed the whole thing, and those who won must be boasting that they are the best. But are they? MTV Africa was not made for African music. The judgment was based on what African musicians could do, aping American musicians. And they did it to the best of their abilities, but ended up being qrotesque. I bet if the awards were for real African music, none of the musicians we saw would have made it anywhere. Please, there is nothing wrong with African music. We shopuld stop trying beinge Americans. R and B is not African. So can we now have another awards ceremony featuring real African music? |
I am proud of being black, and so I think there is everything right about having a black Pope. I am sure there are very many of you who celebrated Obama's win as pRESIDENT OF THE us OF a and I am sure the celebration was because he is black, and nothing else, eeeh A K O? But I am not Catholic; I am a Methodist. |
There are just about 20 African Cardinals in the Catholic Church. What are the prospects for a black Pope? It is said that there has been one black Pope before. But this, in my opinion should not be a matter of debate. It is not a secret that black people inhabited the Middle East some 2,000 years ago. This in effect means Jesus was black. Forget about the pictures you see. Anybody who has had the chance to see the Egyptian mummies of Pharaohs of old will tell you they are black. And black people still exist in the Middle East, even though they are not given much publicity. And the Nubians of Sudan wre also well-known for their civilization even then. So if Jesus and his disciples, including the Jews, were black, why should the Pope not be black too? |
Every coach has his style. No matter how much Sir Alex tries, the coach who will eventually take over from him will make changes. The changes may or may not help Man U |
Believe me brother, one person's success can never be transferred to another. |
We will see. Sometimes even stars can have their off days |
These new-fangled gizmos have destroyed the art of seduction. There was a time seducing a girl was fun and tact. You had to be a fantastic poet, and singer. You had to be an orator. You had to be a good letter writer too. What do we have now? Dating websites and sms's! And e mails. And the ladies, just to prove their love, would embroider a handkerchief, complete with initial I.H.OL.L.A.N.D meaning I hope Our Love Leave And Never Dies! Can the girls do this today? They can't even cook. It's a tragedy to romance. |
A few months ago, I said Liverpool would be the team to watch this season. Not many believed me, but we have to admit Liverpool seems to be doing just fine right now. And they will still be around there by the end of the season. It has always been my team, and I won't change it for any other |
Sir Alex Ferguson has been at the helm of Man U for 26 years now. This is too long for any Manager. Man U has had most of it's successes under Sir Alex. Sooner or later he will be gone. Then what? I do not see Man U doing well after his departure. |
A trend has emerged, with tycoons from Africa, buying football clubs in England. This is not the way to go. These tycoons should actually either buy or start new clubs in Africa, and use that money to develop football in Africa. Just imagine, a club called Lagos United, or Abuja Rangers or Nairobi Sporting, or Racing Johannesberg, with Messi, or Ronaldo, or Etoo's or Kaka playing, you get my drift. Instead of exporting our players to Europe, why can't these tycoons use their money to keep our players in Africa, and import all the big names? Just imagine what this could do to African football! They have proved they have the money. Let them use it here instead of paying foreigners. African football sorely needs this money. |
So why don't you just ignore it and read something else? |
No Meggy, she is a frustrated woman. She is not happy. |
RIght, |
You marry a woman, you get the garbage too. It is not fun to marry a star, or be one yourself. I know. I have been in broadcasting. |
She has insulted Nigerian men, that they are not good enough for her. With women like her, no wonder Nigerian men have taken to marrying Kenyan girls, |
My level of education is well above yours. Go and read the Bible you nincompoop. You will find the reason why a woman was created. |
She is a personality. She owes a lot to her fans, |
I am her fan, and I would like to see her settle down. What will she be like at 70, all alone without a husband and no more acting? |
Right Ima, we need each other's company. It is unhealthy to pretend otherwise |
a good excuse for those who have been rejected! |
Meggy, she is a role model to the youth. She must set a good example. |
No wonder she cannot get a decent man of her own. What a shame. |
A profession, no matter how well-paying it is, can never be a substitute for a marriage. |
Only a frustrated woman can say that. |
The poor man may have had a change of mind. She may have been too much for him. |
Maybe somebody just wants his young wives, |
And English football clubs must be English. You see them being bought by foreigners. Something wrong somewhere |
All men wat to sleep with their wives, whether stars or not. When Genevieve says she has not found a man in all Nigeria, she is insulting all men. She is arrogant. And if they have not propopsed, then there must be something wrong with her, |
True, nowhere. But then how many of our vain, arrogants, spoilt brats we call girls will agree to be co-wives? |
