imperiouxx: Cold is better. We had 6" thick snow blocking all roads. No one can go anywhere. Classes have been cancelled till after thanksgiving (i.e. next week).wow! nice pix &that's thick. well i love it here as it hardly snows and from history, the worst is just about 1" and it melts after few minutes when the sun shines. na here i see sun dey shine during winter . Yeah it's a long week holiday (Fall + Thanksgiving holiday) in my school too but it's gonna be very tough the weeks after considering the workloads and exams. God help us |

My interview is up on wensday. If any one has a general advice or suggestion, I am all ears. TanxAdvice! Advice!! Advice!!! By now, i wanna believe you have all documents in tact. check previous posts for the list of documents required. Get those documents neatly arranged in a folder such that you can easily access whichever doc you need. Ensure you pass the night in a place very close to the embassy. You don't wanna give a touching story of how perplexed or worried you were due to traffic grid and eventually didn't arrive on time. Dress comfortably, a nice trouser, classy t-shirt, tie, shoes and a suit (optional) will do. Put a smile on your face throughout your stay at the embassy because it does boost your confidence. Approach the VO with confidence, maintain eye contact and be audible. it's natural, you might have a cold feet for the few seconds but learn to quickly overcome it so you don't get screwed! Finally, put God first in everything you do. i tell you miracle happens at the embassy. At times, people that deserve visa don't get it and those that don't deserve it get it. success! 2 Likes |

Hello house, Off NL for a while and I’ve got lotsa catch-ups. Wishing peeps going to the embassy success in their interviews and for those that already got their visas and heading to the US very soon, I’ve got some valuable info for you to stay warm in this chilly weather. This might not be of importance to you if you’ve lived safely in a chilly place before or if you are a descendant of the Dutchman Wim Hof #GOODLUCK#You don’t wanna get chilled to the bone after you touch down and leave the airport for your reference point. Trust me the story isn’t always funny to tell. Try get your hands on the following items: Winter Jacket (there are different varieties. Just go for the one that’s fashionable and equally gives you the warm you much desire) Thermal underwears/leggings (for lady) Heavy boots with thick socks Clothing layer/Cardigan/Sweater Scarf Head warmer/Hat Hand gloves (You might be having a dry or chapped hands if you don't wear gloves. Funny enough, you still need to deep your hands in your pocket when the cold is intense). Wear enough before leaving Naija or have your jacket within reach... . hope someone finds it helpful. 再見 4 Likes |

gracious17: Gurus, pls help me with this; I hv been admitted with TOEFL but without GRE. But I took GRE later after my admission. The scores are V-143, Q-152, A-3.0 and TOEFL(PBT) score-550; TWE-3.5. My question is that when VO ask for standardized tests, do I tell him or her that I took both or TOEFL only. Is this GRE scores too low. Hw do I go about it? Pls help.Amefrica |
