Seems like a made up news. |
When you finally accept insecurity as status quo, it is should force those with the power to not only query the effectiveness of security agents in tackling insecurity, as the rest of us do, but also to consider investing in the tools security agents require for the job and above all invest in thire safety. After all you need living security officers to secure the area where politicians hope to bring about that enabling environment for citizens to learn the moral values, which keeps them from becoming creators of insecurity in the first place. |
If true and he wasn't killed, Nigerians that are able should raise money and buy him a replacement van. This is like literally seeing your dreams of a better life go up in smokes. I'm fundamentally sad for the man. Before we were overwhelmed and exhausted by the plight of ordinary men and women in the North East all of Nigeria cared, culminating in the world wide campaign mounted to Bring Back Our Girls. Perhaps instead of insulting the ordinary men and women in the afflicted areas of Anambra we should look with compassion at the living relative of those killed, reaching out to them organizing fund raising events, where and when possible, to help them with their losses. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to_idu0dp7k Instead of eschewing outdated trains what if we subverted the concept ? If stream train technology would be cheaper than diesel or electric, couldn’t Nigeria exploit these in the utilitarian sense to plug in the gaps in our national need for inter state towns and cities rail connections? Classic design Steam trains have a splendor and charm that would create a tourism industry all its own for Nigeria. A modern interpretation could replicate this. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3f/Number_6229_Duchess_of_Hamilton_in_york.jpg/250px-Number_6229_Duchess_of_Hamilton_in_york.jpg |
If you must do sexualised gender based comedy, why not emulate someone like whoever is responsible for those Alahaji Musa skits ? He is clever and successfully handles matters of sexuality arising in contemporary Nigeria society. He ridicules, but in a kind way, matters of infidelity, chauvinism, and objectification of women in a Nigeria that is broadly unaware of these contemporary concepts. Unaware that this type of behaviors have been labeled by the outside world and attributed negative connotations. Unaware since they are at once our traditional ways slowly evolved by Westernization into a caricature form independent of both. |
300whitewolves:It's a symptom of Nigeria becoming mediocre like the rest of Africa. A few years ago I began researching these Africa Youtube comedy "skits". It turned out those from Nigeria were the most intelligent. Skits from the other Africa nations like Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya were very poor -actually childish, embarrassing and borderline regarded. These comedy skits were predominantly rooted on women having big bottom. Essentially they centred on male reactions to women with large rear ends. This was it. No drama, no clever lines, no hooks, no storyline, no charm or observations about life or the human condition. one couldn't even credit these skits as evolving attempts at Slapstick comedy that is already the lowest form of comedy. I was greatfull for Nigeria comedy output because they had drama, observation, storyline, pathos, horror, complexity, culture etc and I felt they redeemed Africa in the eyes of the world. Very sad that Nigerians don't seem to recognise the superior things they have and often abandon those in favour of imitating the rest of backwards Africa. |
Loewe:Crying "failed state" continually encourages this type of people. Many like you are partly responsible by indirectly cheerleading these deviants. When failures occur in Nigeria that are actually unremarkable, you all take to social media, commenting as though the thing that occurred is percular only to Nigeria. From car accident to suicide, rape to emigration, from building collapse, to infidelity -absolutely any and every news issue that occurs in Nigeria brings about responses that are rabid and irrational. You think all these deviants, sponsored and not, are displeased when you people react to thire actions by crying, "Failed State" or "Sithole" ? |
We Nigerians need to fight for this son of ours. Even though we know some Nigerians abroad reject Nigeria, say insulting things, abuse thire women all in the name of Electricity Nigeria doesn't have but we shall nevertheless fight for them. We need to since we only have ourselves as Nigerians. Next time it could be you or your relatives hurt or killed by white people that believe they can get away with it because you or your relative or friend are merely black people in their eyes. But they don't know we are Nigerians and we fight for our people when the chips are down. The Nigeria social media army need to target the industry around the white woman that killed him and let them know that this won't go away quietly. I mean the police, her friends comments on social media, her support groups, etc attack them all so that we raise up a storm of publicity from which none of them can hide. |
At least Aliko Dangote thinks of Nigeria and Nigerians first. Too many Nigerians lately in the spotlight seem to highlight Ghana or Africa and not Nigeria. If Buna boy is not hanging Ghana flag on his wall, it is politicians going to confab in Ghana. Nigerian musicians crying for Africa while other African musicians talk about thire individual African countries, even Mr president is investing train lines to Niger Republic. And Niger Delta militants building university in Benin Republic. Poor Nigerians without voices need to thank Dangote and love him. If all goes well in future, he at least will be one individual sure to provide them actual jobs and or indirect benefit in the form of better economy. #Dangote for President. |
It bothers me how dumb Africans would be calling for Nigeria's destruction informed by fool notions of what they imagine exists outside Africa ![]() |

NwaAmaikpe:Why did you make the statement i highlighted above without first researching to see if it is accurate enough to post ? And why does Nigeria have to only act or do as others, why cant Nigeria set the trend ? |
FalseProphet1:You're indeed the Sage One, lol |
Racism, repercussions of Slavery and Colonialism are not the cause of black Peoples backwardness, JEALOUSY is. Mark this down. |

Building appears warped and cheaply made but perhaps it's my expectations, that something constructed for Nigerians is bound to be poorly made, warping my view of the building. |
Some Niaralanders only needed to read, "Nigeria Rejected Lie Detector", to run off like Chicken Liken, cackling, 'what did you expect, corrupt people, Buhari, APC, PDP, Nigeria, OMG, ha, ha, ha!' You would think USA could provide millions of Lie Detectors or that Politicians, wealthy people would ever be subjected to Lie Detectors or that even if a situation arises whereby the Politician or Elite is compelled to subject themselves to its use that our biassed citizens would accept its verdict. For example Kanu subjected to a Lie Detector. Nigerians too would be antagonistic if the Lie Detectors were used on everyday people. There'd never be livable consensus. They'd never accept authority's report on any result. |
Honestly.... and many innocent people will fall victims of their trap. The people they hope to track are smarter than them.Marquis de Sade advocated the pure libertarian state, therefor a state with very little state control - no police force, no judiciary etc. He argued that in such a State people would be forced to police themselves and eventually the forces of anarchy and order should result in a State of equilibrium. For example fear of revenge and retaliation would prevent people from raping, stealing, killing and so on. In relation to the topic of this thread, Marquis de Sade might argue that, in the future, following endless protests of innocence by individuals claiming that their nin's had somehow been compromised, media reports, outcries over the systems, etc eventually the population will become extremely security and privacy conscious and protective of their NINs. |
These Train Lines also require clear spaces on either side and interlinked fencing or barriers (attractive ones) that run parallel. You need to place as much obstacle as possible in front of those hellbent on maiming, killing and destroying infrastructure through terrorists acts . Having heard a minister or one of the railway employee interviewed after the terrorists attack mention that the train often mowed down cattle loitering on the line, I've come to believe that consideration for cattle headers and locals wanting to cross these train lines and not cost consideration are possibly the mitigating factors why fencing is not on the ground. But if we want modernity as well as the health and safety considerations that are part of modernity, we need to make these difficult choices. The modern state is not sentimental. Anyway, the intended suvaylance system need to cover all lines and not just the Kaduna section. |
She's white, he is black and Nigerian so he will be the guilty party in US and Africa opinion. ![]() RIP |
Echoban:As many have stated, we are unserious in Nigeria, we are so disorganized and shortsighted. I personally underrate the caliber of the terrorists and miscreants causing anarchy in Nigeria, i only marvel at their cruelty and brutish stupidity. Wherever they are from, who ever backs them, i find it difficult to take them seriously. This is since i attribute their success to the utter ineptitude of those in authority in Nigeria. You want to tell me that as leader of a Nigeria besieged by terrorism you would sink billions on barrierless railway lines? If you raise an eyebrow in response to my disregard at the caliber of those causing anarchy in Nigeria, would you call someone a hardened and expert criminal when they ply their trade in a country where banks and jewelry shops don't have doors and workers inside are always asleep? Look at our police stations, hospital buildings, open borders. Barely any of our institutional structures are built for purpose. You build residential bungalows ( the poor and unimaginative type hurriedly erected for long-term refugees at that) and call them Police Stations, Hospitals, Government Buildings etc. If not for lives lost, and the fact that nothing better would replace them, the burning down of these ramshackle eyesores world be welcomed. |
Perhaps it's a bus sold on by the PHCN. Companies do organise sale of old equipment, especially vehicles, to the public. Here in the UK you regularly see people doing parcel delivery work utilising old BT(British Telecom) , Water Company and Royal Mail vans. |
I cant believe that, Airports obsessed, Niaralanders aren't commenting on the airport's missing ceiling tiles. |
Kwestionair:Good points. My feelings are that none Nigeria Africans and Politically Conscious Blacks i.e African Americans and Caribbeans are, to put it diplomatically, anxious about Nigerians, so insincerity possibly played a part in the judging. Whites would play along; whites are very observant and do have their own agenda when it comes to how they approach the rise of powerful or potentially powerful black forces. I have no doubt that had Wizkid, Burna and the rest been from any African country save Nigeria, they would have won, given their current world wide popularity. General world wide blacks and Africans would vote for Wiz, Buna and the rest but blacks and Africans in positions of influence would be biased against the Nigeria stars. Insulting Angela Kodjo for winning is absolutely unacceptable and I'm surprised people with Nigeria upbringing would be that shallow and cruel to insult or send her uncouth messages if that's what they did. This not withstanding the fact that the Troll House nationals have it as part of their mission, the defaming of Nigeria and Nigerians and do go around exploiting the anonymity Social Media affords to post terrible things to all sorts of people, institutes, forums in the guise of Nigerians. |
