Pls what? Am wondering

what of incases where by the lady has being showing the guy love and doing him favours with innocent mind(no strings attached) and eventually the guy starts loving and developing feelings for the lady.. The lady turning him down and wanting to be just friends with him, Is it friendzone too? Cause ve experienced it even though later they still retrace their steps and become just friends with me... what am trying to ask is why should "feelings" from one partner be the reason why platonic friendship cant work?
I'm not a relationship expert. tongue

Sincerely is there anything bad in someone being friendzoned?? They way guys take it these days like its leprosous...
The friend-zone concept is a sexist idea that was invented by dudes who don't understand how attraction works just to punish women.

And, It stemmed up from the mistaken ideas that a woman can choose to be sexually attracted to a person whom, for whatever reason, she currently isn’t, and that a woman should somehow be obligated to “choose” a man based on how much time he’s spent with her, how many favors he’s done for her, or any other such perceived “investment.”

I wasn't really chased, but sth like that
We were playing backyard soccer. And the ball went under an tank. I rushed to pick it up without knowing that a dog was under the tank. Is i stretched my hand under the tank, the dog barked...it scared the hell out of me and i hit my fore head on the tank support. Unfortunately for me, it was iron and my forehead ended up bleeding seriously.

Ohh. It was on my eye brow... I remember,, i still have the mark

Haha. Nice story you got there. I got chased by a Rott once. I was jogging in one of the neighborhood streets at about 6am that weekend, and just I passed this house on the street, the dog bounced out and followed me. I looked back and noticed the house gate was open and this hulky Rott was behind me, chasing and barking at me, although at some distance. If you see fear wey catch me hen! I just turned my jogging into sprinting checking my back until I heard a shout from the back and it was the owner's. The dog froze. It had already chased me for about 1 kilometer. grin

Or, was the dog even a Rottweiler? Na big dog sha!

Blow out the candles of your cake.
They will not leave you in the dark,
Who round with grace this dusky arc
Of the grand tour which souls must take.

You who have sounded William Blake,
And the still pool, to Plato's mark,
Blow out the candles of your cake.
They will not leave you in the dark.

Yet, for your friends' benighted sake,
Detain your upward-flying spark;
Get us that wish, though like the lark
You whet your wings till dawn shall break:
Blow out the candles of your cake, babe!

Happy birthday Poet Krystalxxx! cheesy

Hullo!

Just recently that I started reading pdfs on my phone, I noticed that after a few minutes of reading, I feel my eyes are strained and getting watery. I used to spend so much time reading long articles on the internet, without any problems, but I have to say here that I set all my browsers to work in night mode, so I'm scared it happens because my eyes are exposed to too much light. Or, the text is just too small. Or my eyes are just bad. Does it happen to you, too?

Here is a picture of the text size I use.

I'm quaking feverishly in my pants.
What if, in my pursuit of happiness,
I'm caught up instead by the hate that has spread, in my cardio.
The strong grips of my frustrations on my jugular won't loosen!
The lights I see are starting to flutter.
I'm batting my eyelids frantically.
Releasing intermittently,
minute pleas for mercy.
What is the sense in making me feel like a loser?
Like everything I ever learned was garbage.
You've been here before;
making my smile evade.
Oh! And you know how much I wanna hate you for
All you have done and the distress you have brung.
The damage has been done - fine. Just leave; it's all I want.
You've got the spoils but not content yet.
Forged the waves to the banks of my emotional crumbs
and still unwilling to step out and dry your feet.
But one cannot win all the time.
But one knows not when their prey grows immune to the pain.
One more time, you bully me again but still, indifference I feign.
It really does get to me.
Same way - same way the hired killer behind your settee does the job for which I've gladly paid the bill...

.

This poem here in free verse, will be loved by anyone who loved Eminem's Kim. smiley

Your grammar is a hundred except for the word 'brung' you used somewhere in the poem. Is there a word like that? I think it should have been 'brought'. The plot is an intriguing one although I found it hard to decipher - until I read the poem over and over again - how the two last lines have to do with the story-line. The swift shift; the caprice, is very creative of you. This is a good one.

However, I believe you still need to put some effort into organization; you have to care how your poems look on the pages, too. Please remember to tag me in your subsequent poems. You've got a sharp pen, Nmeri17 smiley

yes indeed. I watched the movie, and that tech is not far away at all. In the next twenty years, we will have enough tech to build a similar machine. But it will be too
expensive to function as a lady's body guard. grin
Not to mention it charging from a transformer. Naija that doesn't have enough light. If they curse him with juju ehn! grin
Oh no, Teempakguy, don't be such a fiend! Nothing is too expensive to function as a lady's bodyguard. It's a lady we're talking about here for heavens sake! grin

Anyway, it would be quite a fascinating scene to watch when I go out with my own andro-humanoid (when it's made) and some agbero boy tries to fight us. Creepy!

Is that really a bot or just a troll? huh
Obviously, the height of the folly in Pyguru's posts clearly decipts that the brain behind them is that of a mentally deranged fellow, a description which would easily own up to a troll's own, but I believe it would be more accurate to say that the brain behind the posts is that of a poorly programmed bot and not of a mentally deranged fellow. Initially, I thought Pyguru a troll until I realized it issued bans. Infact, in its days it was equally as notorious, if not a bit more than it's cousin, the present anti spam-bot.

Take a look at this:

Anyway, about _missclassy. Don't let her catch us oh. She has volatile circuits.

Ah yes, about the speech recognition. Well, in the real world, asimo invests a lot of processing power just to understand humans speaking. Also walking.

But here, in the cyber world, it would be robot heaven. Everything can be expressed in codes. The internet is nearby, meanings of words can be checked, reused, oboi, e go learn sotay . . . shocked shocked imagine something like the matrix. grin
Wow! I didn't know that much about it. Say, have you by any chance watched this Indian movie, Robot?
Science/TechnologyRe: Exploring The Universe: Seeing The Nebulas by llaykorn: 2:17pm On Aug 28, 2015
Teempakguy:
Honda's asimo?
Oh no, i don't think so at all. I think it's just a rather simple algorithm designed to restrict access to Nairaland (banning) when a poster adds a great number of posts on the same thread.
I think of just finds the average posts per person on a section and then bans anyone who deviates too far from the mean.
As you can see, it doesn't learn from it's mistakes. And it doesn't contribute.
If asimo's software were here, it would be a very active nairalander. shocked
Without all the pesky voice recognition to deal with, we'd fall in love with it's pure intelligence. Heck, it would fetch links for those plagiarism freaks that do steal articles. I recall misssclassy used to do that. grin

And we could teach it to be funny and stuff. Naija tinz. grin grin
Actually, likening Nairaland's anti spam-bot to Asimo was nothing but an attempt at rebuke. The gap between them, undoubtedly, is wider than the Suez Canal.

Could you explain that voice-recognition stuff you think we'd have a problem with?

And, about _missclassy, I'm quite surprised; I thought I was the only one who thought that some robots were prgrammed to type in blue ink. grin

PS: Teempakguy, are you aware that before this anti spam-bot, there used to be a bot named Pyguru. This bot had an account and contributed to discussions on the forum. Well, it still has the account: www.nairaland.com/pyguru grin
