I just read a thread about a guy touching a female in class and got multiple slaps. I felt pity for the guy actually because he alone understands what's wrong with him hence kept mute.

I remember years ago I boarded a bus from ring road to Main gate and this very gentle cute student sat close to me. As usual my ears were plugged and my bag was on my laps. Ofcourse there was no way I could ever think someone whose hands were folded would do something strange! The conductor collected our fares hence I didn't move my bag again till we almost got to the park. I removed my ear piece to put my phone in my bag when I noticed something!

This dude gently slid his hand under my bag and placed it on my laps,i never would have known because of the weight of my bag. I was really furious and looked at him like dude what the fvck are you doing? But to my surprise this guy was in another world! He was lost, he didn't even notice I had caught him. It was when I slapped his hand he came back from wherever he went to!

He was so so embarrassed and started apologising immediately, I couldn't even escalate the whole thing considering how he was pleading. I was just speechless!! This guy had a lovely sweet voice,he was cute, why then did he do such a thing.

Few days later I went to read at medical complex, I saw a group of medical students reading and preparing for a group presentation. Their group leader stood up and was addressing them,correcting their mistakes, he carried everyone along,obviously he was good. I looked closely at this group leader,ofcourse I couldn't forget the face so soon,he was the dude in the bus. For a split second I had tears gathering in my eyes, the guy addressing this group was totally different from the pervert I saw! I just packed my books and left, I didn't even know why I had tears in my eyes.

What's the rationale behind this action? Is it shyness, inferiority complex, not been able to have sex, strict upbringing, emotional trauma, perversion, brain damage or what? It's something I can't fathom.

I am a 100% indoor person, I prefer to read novels, play music, and surf d net. I am easily irritated by people and as such, I don't have many friends. once someone starts irritating me, i stop picking his/her calls. I hardly make new friends, d ones I make, maintaining d friendship becomes a problem. dey complain dat I don't call, I don't visit bla bla bla ........am working on it shaa.

I find it difficult engaging in a conversation with people esp d elderly ones. I find myself tongue-tied weneva I wan to spaek to dem.. I hardly call dem by dia names, I prefer going near dem n whispering in dia ears.

stage fright I something av not bin able to deal with........I think my own "introvercy" is d worst.

Some people are mistaken being an introvert for being timid. I don't think an introvert is one who is afraid of meeting people or scared of leaving the house. An introvert does not necessarily fear dealing with the opposite sex. From what I know, an introvert is one who enjoys his or her company MORE than the company of others. An introvert can and should be able to socialise when necessary but just generally prefers being alone.
Some people are very unsocial and are more or less timid. Such people need therapy.

I was an extreme introvert while growing untill after 2 years in the uni.

Mehn, those days where terrible. People form an opinion about you which you know is not true but cannot defend it just because you cannot talk.

Remembering how you failed in your last attempt to talk gets you more afraid of meeting new people and things get even more complicated. Then knowing you can't relate well with others erodes your self confidence and you take a plunge into inferiority complex.

Though I am still introverted but the extreme side of it is no more.

My change started when I started building my self esteem. I started loving me. I started forgiving myself when I fail in an attempt to relate with people while believing I will do better next time. I understood there is more to life than talking and the pressure to talk better gave way. I discovered my personal way of conversation and stuck to it and stopped wishing I did it like the other person. My confidence kept rising until I almost became borderline proud.

Though I still keep to myself most times but making and keeping friends is just easy to me except I don't want to associate with the person. I still don't talk much but I've got no problems saying whatever I want to say. People who are not close to me say I am quiet but those close say I am nowhere near quiet. Don't even know which one to believe.

Its cool being an introvert if you've got your self esteem intact. A lot of extroverts will be intimidated around you, trust me

I hate arguments with a passion and I hardly get angry cos I have better things to he thinking abt.

When am with someone I prefer if the person is a talkative so I would have liitle to say and I would just be nodding or far away in my thot's.
I really love to have a friend but meeting one is hard of me.
I doubt if their is anyone who truly knows me even a little.
Sometimes I think how would I get my briadal train when the time comes.
I hate fake people and I easily detect lies.

I know that feeling; you have plenty thoughts - intelligent, imaginative or weird thoughts in your mind...but means of letting them out na d wahala . You then enjoy all of them on your head when you r alone.
Sometimes you might even start smiling after sharing some thoughts alone.
